Salunia turns to him and frowns, just as a small white stone comes flying out of his mouth.
"Why you spitting rocks onto the table, Kero?" she demands worriedly.
Hopian decides it is time for his daughter to go to bed and urges her from the room, carrying Fortuny's cake into her her along with her now somewhat cold dinner.
"We should probably call it a day, Sal. I want to take you hunting tomorrow." he explains when she questions why.
Bez merely shakes his head, while Ai pretends nothing has happened.

No...if I were, I'd say something like *Spins off into a strting of curses so frank, they shock even the spell for a few seconds...even it doesn't know how to respond to such awful language*

Bez groans. "Face it, Ai... it's a hopeless cause."
Ai shakes her head in negation. "No cause is hopeless... just hard to deal with..." She glares at Kerobian, "And if ever you repeat what you just said anywhere near where your niece might hear of it... I might just forget I don't give spankings. Where in heaven's name did you learn such a thing. Not from me, I know that for a fact."

You wouldn't spank me over that. And as for where I learned it, not all the brethren are as clean-mouthed as Shar and Mica, and I do still play at the inn, you know.

Ai glares at him. "Not all mimics appear in video games and how the heck do you know about those anyway? I never raised you in those realms? Don't get cocky with me, Kerobian. I was serious. You are twisting my words to your own benefit, something I do not approve of and you know it."
Her voice is so cold that Bez pulls away, rubbing his arm. He gives Kero a warning glance and gathers up their dishes in silence.

"Ai..." murmurs Bez worriedly.
"Quiet. This is between Kerobian and myself. He's old enough to know better." she snarls testily.

She glares at him, struggling for control. Finally she simply gets down frm the table and stalks out the door. "When you are ready to apologize I"ll be upstairs. Good night."
Bez stares at the table and the frost bitten flowers and sighs. "Well, the evening started out on a good foot."
