Realizing Kerobian is being purposefully obtuse, Lyssan drops the subject, content for the moment to lean into Amestru's embrace. She listens to Ame speak, feeling the vibration of his voice through his chest and tries hard to remove the image of his last few moments from her mind. That moment would someday return, maybe tomorrow, maybe a century down the road, but it would indeed face them once again and when it did she decided that he wouldn't be going off on his own.

Amestru sighs and shakes his head. "Kerobian, ye cannot have it both ways, surely ye realize that by now. Iffin ye continue to seek death, Tes will be abandoned. Are ye truly content with that? How can ye say ye want a life with her when in truth ye want no life at all. I won't tell ye ye view point on living is wrong, won't try to dissuade ye in any way. I understand, mayhaps more than some what it means to outlive me time" He caresses Lyssan's cheek and smiles down at her, a tired content expression. I was at the end of me days when I met Lyssie. Ready to move on, when she walked into me life. And I can't even begin to count the years we've been together. Sometimes one door opens and another closes. Am I upset that I've outlived me people, not by days, not by years but by eons... no. Do I still miss them? The answer to that is an unequivical yes. I will always miss them. But my life is here, with her. She, herself, has left behind much as well. That is the nature of marriage."

Lyssan covers his hand with her own and nods. "I am of the belief, that before we cast this spell, ye think long and hard about this. Are ye willing to join yer life to another's giving up this end ye seek... no matter the length of time ye share. Can ye simply accept what fate sends ye instead of seeking it out? Be it a day, a year, an eternity? "

Lyssan smiles knowingly. "I suspected as much. Ye love her greatly and this I know, but Kero, dear friend, to do this ye need to embrace a new way of thinking.She has given ye her pledge, so now ye need to stop thinking of this marriage as something that might happen and realize it is something that will happen. No ifs, no buts, no doubts.... Focus on a future... turn away from the past."

She reaches out and cups his chin in her hand. "If ye indeed love her as ye say ye do, ye owe her this much at least. Consider it a wedding present to her, for it would be the greatest gift ye could offer... I kid ye not."

Lyssan rolls her eyes and accuses him of stalling.

"Hmph... " says Lyssan knowingly. "Yer just scared of commitment." Then she winks and tells the author he better get cracking and her mentor was getting off soon.

Amestru nods and turns to Jor. Ok, this is how we propose to do this. I will cast a solar shield about the two of ye, which should block the lunar influence that makes the spell erratic. Lyssie here is, as ye know, a master of creation magic as well as the divine. She will be joining the two of ye on a strictly spiritual level and anchoring kero's soul which should help self guard his mind from the spells effects and secure him a steadfast level of intelligence. We'd like ye to recast the spell ye originally cast. He has informed us that rejuvenation is rather important for a voidic mage, therefore we propose casting the spell but aiming for a slightly older age, say 18 or 19 in human years. This wold put him at a stage in his life where is would be strong and vigorous, able to recoup but also able to control and function in the world at large. What say ye, does it sound achievable?"

Lyssan dissipates into a ghostly shape and holds out her hands to Kerobian, but it is not his physical form she wishes to embrace and hold onto. Amestru laughs merrily at their eagerness and standng at the far end of his study, begins to draws runes in the air before him. solar magic as well as lunar magic are both a part of the twilight magic realm but the spell he is casting is nothing more than a spherical shield and he maintains a proper distance from Kerobian with it's edges, forcing it to expand until it encompasses the entire room and then the tree. Several of the lamps about the room go dark, while others brighten. He nods at Jor and Kero and strengthens the shield until it is so dense it takes on a visible form, a golden shimmering wall of light.
