"Who cares?" says Lyssan listlessly. "Whatever it is can't bring Ame back, Jor. Nothing can." she looks at her hands, whole now and clenches them tight. "There are times when I wonder if I shouldn 't just let go as well."

*Finally, Jor points...and Ly freezes...Jor has no power over time...so this must be illusion...she can't be seeing the scene...right before she stomps off in a huff...Jor must be having a fast one on her...*

Lyssan knows this and snorts rudely through her nose. "The past is cut in stone, Jor. We both know that. Only the future is mailable. What are ye getting at?"

*Jor chuckles.....a mirthless sound...*
Remember...long ago...when we were very little...the all-ruler called me into his home...and scolded me...for trying to unweave the tapestry of life? So that I could reverse a mistake I had made...chiefly, the mistake involving you, some banana peels, whipped cream, and a paddle...the one that got me grounded for a year...?
Note: I'll leave the details of that little escapade to your imagination

"Iffin ye want me to go back in time and unravel this mess, I can't. Number one law of time travel, ye cannot go anywhere yer at... no appearing besides yerself... to warn yerself of yer stupidity... Damn it, Jor, don't ye think I'd have done it by now, iffin I could. This whole thing is a miserable mess up fromn the word go. I can't blame, Kero... he was just being testy and mean spirited, but not in a truly awful way... and I can't blame Amestru, he was only trying to keep me safe. He's always been one to act first, question later and ye know it. And I... I can't blame myself, though I really would like to. I should have sense the escalation and down what I could to defuse it, rather than egg Kero on. But I was so angry that he thought I'd truly pry into his dreams and so mad that he had put himself on a different level than we, that i got blindsided...."

*Jor chuckles again*
But I can...and I can unweave the very tapestry of life...the all-ruler will be pissed as hell at me...but I'll take it...hold still...
*Lyssan and Kero both feel a jerk...their universe swings 360 degress....and back...and they find themselves in the midst of their fight, right when Kero turns to march out the door....Amestru is standing next to Ly as the cat makes to leave... but instead, he turns around*
You know...this fight has gotten ridiculous...it started due to me being overly sensistive...then escalated due to my forgetfulness...I think we both need to just sit down...and take some time out...*Unseen by Amestru, Kero winks at Ly...she realizes they both remember what happened...but Amestru doesn't...*

Lyssan cautiously goes to sit back down by Amestru, wrapping his arms about her as though her life depends on it. The old wolf eyes her funny for a moment, but he is enjoying her closeness, so he doesn't make any comments. Instead he agrees with Kero. "Absolutely. No need to get all upset over something that happened a good month or so ago, Lyssie. And Kero, truly we had no desire to pry. Well I didn't, Lyssie may have wanted to stay... she's a bit of a voyeur..." He ducks as she attempts to turn in his embrace and smack him one, the laughs uproariously.

*Kero nods at Amestru...then gets a smirk...*
A voyeur, huh...now I know who's been peeking in my window at night...
*His tone and eyes lend silliness to a dire insult...he knows who's peeking in already...and it ain't Lyssan*

Lyssan snorts softly... "If i truly were a voyeur... I certainly wouldn't be looking in yer window. Nine times out of ten when yer here, yer a cub and curled up with yer toys. Nothing to see there, I assure ye."
She leans back against Amestru and looks up at him worriedly. He catches her observation and frowns.
"What? Have I got something on me face, dear one? Ye keep looking at me as though something is wrong."
She hastily assures him all is well and sinks against him with a sigh. Her eyes are troubled, for in her heart, even though she appreciates what Jor has done, she is truly worried about the consequences.

*Jor suddenly appears out of nowhere...and the all-ruler's displeasure is apparent to Lyssan and Kero...and a symptom of it to Amestru...he's a much smaller snake now...only about five feet long...and from head to toe, he is covered in rainbow scales, each one a solid hue, but making him look like a serpentine opal...except each color is a pastel...he looks like a slithering nursery...and he is slithering strangely...gingerly*

"Verdict?" asks Lyssan with a sigh. "How long do we have? Is he going to let things stand or reset the clock?"
She clings to Amestru as if he were a life raft in her life. Confused he encircles her in his arms and eyes all three of them with a frown. "Someone want to tell me what's going on around here. Ii've a sinking suspicion that we not talking about Kerobian's problem right now."

*Kero shakes his head*
Amestru...I give you my solemn vow that you are better off not knowing...if you take me for your friend...then take me at my word...you don't want to know.
*Meanwhile, Jor addresses Lyssan*
He won't interfere...not with the three sisters having enough work to do covering up my unweaving...so he simply decided to change my color, deage me, and...welll....let's just say I didn't think it could be done...there's a reason I'm slithering gingerly...talk about a taste of my own beliefs...
*Kero, upon hearing this, laughs outright, earning an extended glare from his master*

Amestru is the first to see a problem in their well hatched plot to put a control on Kerobian's miscast spell. "Jor, I'm shooting in the dark here, but iffin yer de-aged, is that going to affect your spell casting abilities."

*The serpent shakes his head*
Nope...not in the slightest...I've always had a knack for magic...even my baby sister can tell you that...By the time I was really this age...I was already a master...

Amestru nods with relief. The he begins to outline their plan to recast Kerobian's de-aging spell and the parameters they had chosen to use. "He's alive now, Jor. Even more so than ye or me. And that dang mis-fired spell is beginning to take it's toll on him. He needs to get it under control or we're going to lose him." says Amestru sitting back. Lyssan hands him their wax tablet and goes to rub Kerobian's ears. Half way there she stops and freezes, then with a hefty sigh she decides to carry through with the act.
"Ye know, cat.." she says with a weary sigh. "Yer going through yer nine lives like a hot knife through butter. That was the second time ye've set him off like that... do ye even remember the first and what I told ye?"
