I'd escort by hand to the road than let him run across the street as much as he wanted. Hahaha, Just kidding. I'd ask him where his parents where were. And he didn't know, we'd try and find them.
What would you do if you tried to help an unattended child find their parents and then they tried to accuse you of kidnapping it?

I'd say something annoyingly dramatic, eat all my favorite foods one last time, and take a nap. Next day, I look around for others. If I find no one, I'll kill myself.
