lurichan has a fetish/obsession with palm leaves.
In fact every friday night she goes out into the nearest wet land in a special dress she made out of nothing, but palm leaves and dances about while singing a song she made up that is nothing more than her repeating "I am queen of the palm leaves la, la, la" to the tune of Old McDonald.
