The Small Island

High above the island, a giant blue-white portal opened up. For a full minute, it hovered there, like another sun, before expelling its occupant: An enormous dark grey ship. The ship lurched from the portal, and fell towards the water, suddenly flaring and igniting its engines with all of its might. The ships downward trajectory became more forward, and the falling slowed, but it was not enough to overcome gravity, and it skimmed the ocean, throwing up a white wall of water before becoming airborne again for a second before it began falling again, and this time set down in the water, barreling straight at the small island as if intent on cleaving straight through it. However, the ship suddenly began decelerating and it lifted into the air again, coming to a stop above the island, gusts whipping about it like an invisible hurricane, knocking over a few trees before the winds calmed, leaving only the low hum of the engines as the ship floated above the small island, apparently oblivious to the destruction that it nearly caused. On its hull was its name, painted in large white letters:

Angel of Fire.

With a loud whirr, the bottom of the ship opened, and a platform descended to the ground. On it was a single person: A soldier, clad in grey and red armor, holding a scoped rifle. The soldier's right arm was mechanical, various tiny parts moving as it moved much like a natural arm. The man looked around, and stepped tentatively off the platform, surveying his surroundings.

The soldier eyed the woman suspiciously through the gold visor on his helmet, and, after a second, he put the rifle on his back and spoke, his voice quiet and gruff, yet surprisingly youthful.
"I assume you are talking about the black and white creatures that seem to infest this...world? They're the reason this ship ended up here, and I assume they're also the reason that everyone on the ship, except for me and my AI, Aingel, have disappeared..."
The soldier looked around, and took out his rifle again, looking it over.
"Actually, contrary to your statement, the creatures died easily enough when shot. But when there's hundred of these things swarming a ship in Slipspace...well, one rifle isn't going to do much..."
At that moment, the soldier put his rifle back on his back, and held out his hand. Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and when it cleared, the soldier was holding a Keyblade.
"I don't suppose you would know what this is, would you? It appeared at the same time the rest of the ship's crew disappeared."
