Kanda opened the front door and looked at the mob. He sighed when he recognized the people and rolled his eyes. "What do you want?" He snapped out as he glared at all of them.

Shan listened nervously as the large crows was angrily chanting his name. It was as Nezushi had told him. They were all after him, but for what reason? What did they want with him? What would the law say if they were seen?
It was pretty much illegal to go up to an owner to demand a slave unless that person was selling that very slave. In such a case, this riot was illegal, right?

"Damn, your all annoying." He said as he closed his eyes as pinched the brisge of his noise. So they wanted Shan...For what Kanda had no clue but he ddn't want to know. The boy was his property and he would rather tell the world they could call him Yu then let them take him.
"You can't have him." He said to them as he gave them a cold glare that made, 'if looks could kill.' a reality. "He is mine. No one can have him but me."

Nezushi had long since morphed back into a mouse and scurried to the scene to see exactly what was going on. There, the bad people of the town were arguing with the man of the house, both fighting for Shan. It really annoyed him probably as much as it annoyed the man, but what can they do about it? Go to the law?
Old Kodomo, or more known to be Shan's father, only scowled back at Kanda, a hint of resentment in his eyes. "I'll have you know that you were never to have bought my son in the first place." he declared. "He was meant for someone else, but he was stolen and illegally auctioned off. Now I believe it's time you returned him."
'Lies!' Nezushi thought to himself. 'All lies!' He knew the Old Kodomo was never one to tell the truth when lying leaned to his own benefit. Besides, there was never news about Shan being stolen away, so the old man must have been fibbing.

Kanda rolled his eyes as he felt a vein going in his head. 'Lying old coot' He thought as he looked at him. "Please. If he wasn't supposed to be auctioned there then why didn't you say somethign when you were there? Why didn't you step in when I bought him. You could have protested." Kanda said to the man as he saw cold sweat formed on his head. "Face it you olld bat. There WAS no ne to buy him. He's mine legally and officially."

Nezushi smirked, mentally cheering for the man of the house to prove the law to the mob. He saw that the Old Kodomo was speechless and trying to find the words to retaliate against Shan's master. So far, he was failing terribly.

Kanda looked at the man then smirked when he saw the strain on his face, him trying to form words. "You lose Old coot." Kanda said, "Now get off my property...now." He said the last word a threat as he gave them a death galre.

Nezushi watched as the cowardly mob fled from the man of the house, and he scurried back to the room to tell Shan that the coast was clear. Hopefully, those men won't come back at all. However, he didn't have much hope of that.
Shan saw Nezushi crawl through the blinds and transform into the human form he had been a few minutes ago. By now the shouts had gone away, and Shan assumed that his friend came by to give him some good news.

Kanda tched as they all fled away then turned. He went into his house and headed to his room, thinking of getting a nap in since its been a long day.

After morphing back into his human form, Nezushi informed Shan that the mob had left, lettinng him experience relief. Perhaps they won't come back, then they would have nothing to worry about. There was a question that still lingered in Shan's mind. Why were they after him?

(Hey hey^^ I'm alive razz Well for the most part. Have a nasty cold..)
Kanda reached his room and closed the door behind him. He undid the ribbon in his hair and let it fall down before he climbed into the bed. Ha laid down then closed his eyes and slowly went to sleep.

(Hey hey hey, welcome back. :3 Well, I hope you get well soon, in that case.)
Strangely, Shan wasn't anywhere near tired. On the contrary, he wanted to know what Nezu meant by Koshaku. Well, the mouse was already asleep, so it was a little too late to ask. Oh well...
For some reason, Shan thought of the Aesop's fable about a slave and the lion. Something about the slave helping the lion and eventually they become the best of friends. He didnt' understand why the fable came to him, but it just did.

Kanda woke up after three hours. He was really tired apparently. He opened his eyes slowly, and blinked a few times as they adjusted to the light. He then sat up and yawned a big huge long from a nice, good sleep. 'That felt good..' He thought with a bit of a daze on his face.
He got out of his bed then went to the kitchen. He kept his hair down for he didn't feel like putting it up and just walked through the halls, heading to the kitchen to get food.

Nezushi woke up only around three hours after sleeping. As soon as he saw Shan, his unconscious worries that something had happened while he was asleep went away. Sitting up and yawning, Nezushi rubbed his eyes a little.
"You seem lost in though, Koshaku," he said. "Something wrong?"
"I'm still wondering why you called me that," Shan replied, having been awake the whole time.. "All I can think of for an explanation is the Aesop's fable about a slave and a lion."
Nezushi chuckled a little. "That's reasonable. It's actually a very old and forgotten law among us animals," he explained. "If a dominant animal, like a human, saves the life of an insignificant animal, like a mouse, then the lower animal must be a servant to the higher." He made motions with his hands in case Shan didn't really get it. "In our case, I have to serve you, and I think Koshaku is a nice name for you." Nezushi then grinned, which was very rare for him to do so.
(Wow, and sometimes people expect something else. :3)

(O.O wow^^ That was nice.)
Kanda sat at the table and looked at the slaves absent mindedly as they served in. They laid the dinner out, soba noodles with green tea, and then left for the master to eat in privacy. Kanda then looked at the food when they left and started to eat.
When he finished 30 minutes later, he got up and headed to his study. He felt like reading for a bit, it helped with clearing his mind. 'Must be a father son thing..' Kanda thought since his father does the same thing to clear his head as well.
