*Hopian kneels by the fire...and a Salamander pops out...going and twining around the lion...who throws him off...he tries again...and gets the same result...finally, it flies over to Tam*

Tam sighs and picks it up. "He's afraid. I showed him what happened in Middletown.... He was walking a dangerous path and I wanted him to see what could come from it if he wasn't careful... now he's afraid to hurt you... or have you hurt anyone else."
The salamander hisses at him and flares up, but Tam pays it no mind. Instead he carries it back to Kero and sits down next to him. "I should have kept my mouth shut... " he says softly reaching down and placing the lizard in Kero's arms. "Listen to him dulcha... please... and if you still feel afraid, then I'll severe the link between the two of you...
"
Thyrion makes a frantic panicky cry and cowers against the lion in fear.

Tam shakes his head. "Now until you listen to what Thyrion has to say. I'm serious, Kero... listen to him first... please. Tam gets up and cocks his head to the door, urging Hopian to leave as well. Once outside, he leans up against a wall and frown. "I don't know, Hope. I am sayi right things but he's not hearing it... or rather he's hearing only what he wants to hear. I need a way to break through. Do any of the children have skills in dealing with this sort of thing?I'd say Pyropian... but it's really not up his alley."

*The Sapphire's child doesn't even acknowledge him...instead simply going inside and tapping Kero on the forehead...one touch is all it takes...she disappears, leaving frost on the floor, as Kero breaks down into tears, hugging Thyrion close*

You would too, if your mother beat you up every day of your life from the time you were a cub, even allowing other males to rape you for her own gain. That's not even mentioning the number of broken bones she's had. If she weren't our most powerful natural healer, she would have died long ago from the beatings.
