Canis-chan I, uh, wasn't really disturbed by it at all. I think I've become immune to fictional incest.... Yay for fiction lowering our standards! xd

Tyo Canis-chan I, uh, wasn't really disturbed by it at all. I think I've become immune to fictional incest.... It's a type of desensitization that no one took into account. xd I really think so. But then again, I read too much fanfiction. 3nodding Reading about incest used to really squick me, and in some cases, it still really does, but I've become mostly desensitized, since I know it's fictional. And since the fact that Boone and Shannon weren't actaully related by blood clicked in my mind, it didn't bother me at all. There's also the fact that I totally saw it coming. sweatdrop

3nodding I, too, have read too many of those kinds of stories to be shocked by them anymore. sweatdrop
The only reason I didn't see the step-sibling rather than real sibling thing coming was because I was hoping for some actually daring TV. But, at least now there aren't people all over the world puttin' the hate down on Shanney and Boon-boon.

MeriThranduiliell Yeah, I saw that coming from the start. sweatdrop I was hoping for the daring, too, but eh, gotta take the strangeness I can get. "Shanney and Boon-boon"! xd I'm not alone lol. Maybe they're going to have some wild plot twist where Shannon and Boone really are related by blood somehow...I'm not sure how yet but I can dream can't I? Yes I am a desensitized fiction reader...I can't help it. The incest that really squicks me in fanfiction still however is 'child-parent' situations. **shudder** I was watching family guy last night and they had one of those stereotypical country mountain-people scenes where Brian and Stuart are roadtripping or something and they go to get a job at this place to fly a crop plane and the pilot is being fired and the exchange goes something like this: "You're fired! You put your seed in my daughter's bellie!" "But Pa, you can't fire me!" " If you weren't my brother I'd kill you!"

Back on topic (ish), does anyone else think that it's kind of odd that Michael wants to build a raft? Does anyone of them even know if there's any other land anywhere nearby? And if there is, don't they think that maybe someone on a nearby island might've seen the plane crash and informed someone? Of course, maybe those islands aren't populated, but that just puts them all in the same predicament they're in right now.
Also, it'll have to be a damn big raft to fit 47 people. And a dog. Plus, they would have to wait to find Claire's baby first, anyway. Otherwise it's just mean.
...but they could leave Sawyer behind. ninja

At least on the island they have a steady source of food and shelter. I guess Michael's just really deperate to get his son home. sweatdrop Haha, poor Sawyer! xd

If someone HAD seen the plane crash and informed the authorities, they'd have been there by now. I think the idea of the raft isn't for a raft big enough to hold everyone. Or it won't be if they ever bring it up again and think it through. It will be big enough for one, two, or maybe three people, and their purpose would be to get to land, and then explain the events leading up to the plane crash, namely, that the plane turned around and headed toward Fiji when they lost contact. That will give them an approximate area to search. Also, if they decide to make sure the bonfire is still going to be lit after they leave, they can inform the authorities that they should look for that, too.

That makes sense, but I feel that once they leave the island, there isn't going to be any coming back. I wonder if anyone on the island thinks that?
