Seeing Eula's paw stretched out before him, Maddox felt a little confused and reluctant, yet willing to accept Eula's generosity. Any offer for food was a good one for him, and the sound of the word 'fish' made him drool with hunger. Besides, she was a friend of Jamie's and thus he had none of the fear he usually reserved for strangers.
Eula's question sounded like a no-brainer for Maddox. He knew Jamie had helped him all this way so far and felt he deserved something for his selfless efforts.
Um...yeah... Why not? Madddox asked wondering why would a friend withold food from a friend. I think he's hungry too...

There were no marks on the creature, it was nearly impossible to tell what had killed the ugly beast. Sharp, yellowed teeth stuck out from the mouth that was drooped open and it gave off a very unpleasant smell. Though it was hard to tell if the smell was of death or the sickly creature's own stench.
Neither could tracks be found going in any direction.
~~~~~
Jamie's expression lit up at Maddox's reply, turning to Eula with an innocent smile. "You heard 'im, lead the way."
Eula smirked a bit at that, taking Maddox's paw and letting Jamie follow into the nearly empty Great Hall. She led them around the back then let go of the kitten's paw outside a set of swinging double-doors that led into the kitchen area. Dinner was over and she imagine Jude wouldn't be terribly pleased with the prospect of yet MORE hungry creatures.
"Wait here," she said, slipping into the kitchen. She walked around 'til she found the kitchenmouse.
"Hi Jude!" Eula said with a bright smile, leaning back against a center table a bit. "How are you doing today?"
She paused, then went along before the mouse could ask what she really wanted. "You remember Jamie? No, you probably don't. Well, he came across a...." she paused, almost saying 'cat' but changed her mind. "a... Dibbun. He came across a Dibbun somewhere alone I guess-" and she realized she hadn't even questioned on what was going on. Shrugging mentally, she went on.
"In any case, he and the Dibbun are quite hungry and I know it's a terrible burden on you... but I happen to know you have some grayling... which, just by a hunch... I think the Dibbun would very much like. So... what do you say?" She kept up the sweet voice, smiling at Jude.
~~~~~
The bunny's paws shot out and grabbed Jasmine's paw, a grin lighting her features. Still, it was the same exact reaction the bunny had given Jasmine last time... no sound was given.
At the sound of "T.K." the bunny glanced up at Jasmine with curious eyes. When the vixen kept talking, the bunny apparently lost interest, blue eyes wandering around the room to land on Faith, who spoke next.

Jude looked up from the dishes he was washing at the sound of Eula's greeting. He fixed an amusedly suspicious look on his face as soon as the haremaid asked how he was. He heard her out and replied, feigning annoyance, "Well, I guess we can feed him. Don't suppose the Abbess would stand for my lettinga Dibbun starve to death." With a quick grin he picked up a few clean dishes and began filling them with greyling, bread, and some of the leftovers from dinner.

::Whisper stood there for many moments more, looking at the beast from every which angle, and grinding her fangs together, finally sheathed her rapier with an angry cry, flushing her wings open wide as she went upward::
::She had to give up on this, at least for the moment, until she could get back to the abbey and find some more beasts with better heads to see the situation... besides, it wasn't as if she was heading back just because she couldn't figure it out, she had to get on something to wear besides these rags... you couldn't mount a proper mission dressed like this... yes, a quick change of outfit was ABSOLUTELY necessary!::
~~~~~~~
Ask Eula that question and you'll see what she tells you, being a friendly beast...
You just keep tight while I go tell Ay- ::She stopped, realising...::
::In times all before, she would have went to the abbess and seen to her views and make sure she had the full okay over what she was thinking... and now... the new abbess was right before them: well, at least it saved her a trip around the abbey...::
::Faith only kept watching, as silent as the babe, luckily that saved any further awkwardness as Jasmine came instead to the bed, sitting down and giving 'TK' a good view of Faith now::
::The bandaged cub looked on, her visible red eye there bright and warm in a contrast to all else that could be frightening about her, and she scootched forward a little to get a better look, her maw hanging lightly as she came closer::
Faith, as Abbess, you have to learn that you'll have many duties beyond announcing feasts or such... you'll be a beast many will look to for advice, compassion and much more...
Even me...
::She held the babe a little closer for a second, adjusting her hold, until she passed her towards Faith, the young cub panicking, but moving her arms out quick enough to accept the babe so carefully it were as if the rabbit were made of glass::
::But she settled, relaxing a little as she held the rabbit and looked down upon her, a smile forming:: Hiya...
::Finally, Jasmine returned her voice:: Abbess Faith, I would like to name this little one Tara Kindheart, a name that will remind her every day to show as much compassion and kindness as we will show to her in return.
A name that will be loving, yet strong, and let her grow as she wishes within all that this name means.
Do you commend? ::And Jasmine waited, bowed there before Faith::
::There were many silent moments, as Faith held the little one with her good arm cradling, and reached her bandaged mitten of a right paw out to tickle her the same way Jasmine had, and finally giggled:: 'S a pretty name...
N' she'sa pretty rabb't...
Yupyup! We call 'er Tara!!
"Thanks Jude," Eula said, giving him a big smile as she walked around him and carefully collected the plates he made up. "I can always count on you." She added lightly, stopping there in case she overdid it. She learned early in life to flatter the cooks. It got you places.
"You should take a break perhaps and come out with your own dinner," and with that she slipped from the kitchens, turning to open the door with her back. She walked past Jamie and Maddox, beckoning them over as she sat the plates on the table for them and sat down. She set one of the plates in front of a pillowed chair... one of many designed specifically for the Dibbuns who were still too small to reach the table properly.
Jamie took a seat, obviously delighted at the prospect of more Redwall food. "Nex' time I'm bringin' more mountain hares an' we're gonna kidnap all your cooks," he said with a grin, starting in with his food.
~~~~
The bunny blinked several times, switching her gaze between Faith and Jasmine curiously. She made no sound, just watched the goings on with blinks and soaking everything in with those eyes.
Pretty soon there was a little disturbance and next thing Faith would find a little otter Dibbun practically climbing over her legs. "Ooh, wanna see! Hey Miss Jas'm, that's sounds kin'a like Terra's name. The... um... the... a'coon."

Donato, passing through the Great Hall after entering the Abbey from the orchard, noticed the little group gathered at the table and raised his eyebrows in surprise. He strolled over, polishing an apple on his tunic ((What season is it? Is he eating a magical, core-less apple that grows in Spring?)). "Hullo again! Miss us already?"

The sight of the delicious-looking food Eula held nearly killed all patience in him. As she walked over to the table, Maddox could not keep his eyes off the dishes. Whatever was on them sent out the most mouth-watering aroma that had ever wafted into his nostrils. Saliva was already drooling out from the corner of his lips.
As soon as the dishes landed on the table, Maddox hopped onto the pillowed chair and immediately snatched the food with his paws and stuffed it hungrily into his mouth. With half the food already in his mouth, he sent it all down in one big gulp followed by a big belch. The kitten seemed pretty oblivious to any table manners.
But before he could wolf down the other half of the food left on his dish, Maddox paused and thought for a bit. He realized that he had forgotten to say something before the meal. He then turned his head toward Eula.
Um...thank you...
Despite his lack of table manners, Maddox at least had a good sense of gratitude, albeit applying it late... He turned back to the food and continued eating, this time a little less sloppily thinking he might have already offended his companions.
[Sorry for replying so late. I was in PA for a week. ^^;]

::Jasmine made a seething sound that was more than likely, a choice word she barely could have suppressed before these dibbuns as well as the abbess herself all in one...::
::In an instant, Jasmine's expression had switched from blissful peace to something resembling a beast sucking a lemon, as she mentally slapped herself in an instant, and quickly came back in there::
Well... that... was a practise run... Faith still isn't used to being an abbess, so we need to let her get used to ceremonies like this now and again...
Ya sounded prety serious ta me... ::Chipped in Faith with some surprise::
Well... of course, that's EXACTLY what it will be like when we call her, her real name... ::Jasmine flailed against her own perfectionisms, trying to think quick, T! Tee!!! Tee, t, tee, t, teeeee!!! They needed a maidens name with a T...::
Tracy!
::But her suggestion barely made out before Faith had found new company with Shune, letting her see the rabbit as she rocked her body a little to coddle the rabbit, tickling away::
She looks likuh Trixy ta me, whaddya think Shune, am I a good namer? ::And evidently, Faith found herself a new advisor of the moment... while Jasmine watched on dumbstruck::

Eula had her seat pushed back, sitting on the edge of it with her legs slung underneath it and her footpaws crossed. She leaned forward, elbows resting on the table and her chin resting on her palm. She had to smirk a little at Jamie as his eyes lit up and he started in to his food with gusto.
"My father is going to kill you when he finds out how long you've stayed here," she said lightly, watching him.
Jamie paused, mulling that over as he chewed. He nodded, agreeing reluctantly. "I know. But I came back with good reason, hm?"
She shrugged, looking at Maddox as he gave a belated 'thank you' for the food and smiled a little. "No problem, glad you like it."
She twisted around in her seat as she heard Donato, sitting up a bit in her chair as he came up. "Mmhmm! He came up all smiles and then sweet-talked me into feeding him. Isn't he rotten?"
Jamie grinned a bit at that, shaking his head as he turned to Donato, giving a nod of greeting. "Hullo there, chap, how're you, wot." He guiltily realized he'd forgotten the other hare's name and hoped it would crop up in the conversation at some point.
((And if anyone cares as to my opinion, I would say it is now early to mid autumn. However, this isn't based on anything particularly factual.... just... yeah. XD))
----------
Shune was squished up against Faith at this point, wanting the best view and closest proximity available with which to study the little bunny. She nodded in fervent agreement with Faith's option. "I like Trixy. But how come it's gotsa start with a T?"
And the bunny just stayed there in all her silence during this, looking between Faith and Shune with calm curiosity.

Donato grinned at the group. "Sweet-talked her into feeding you? ...Can't blame you." He looked at the kitten. "Hullo! I'm Donato. What's your name?"
((Oooh, Jamie got his name, and I didn't even do it intentionally! XD))

Iunno. ::Faith blinked suddenly, realising herself she didn't know why it had to be with anything, looking to Jasmine in turn, passing along the question::
Why can' we call'er sumfin' else?
::Jasmine sighed, at least happy to have a break in the name game, as she gently sat herself down, placing Faith between herself and Shune now::
::Gently, she peeled the covers back, silent as she revealed the small marking with a single finger::
We don't know who she is... and all we have are two letters... a tee and a kay...
...So, it only really makes sense we call her something using those two...
...Why nud jss' Teekay? ::Faith suggested, looking to Shune for support again::
::And Jasmine only sat stony faced... this was going to be a much longer lesson than she had hoped for...::

Shune leaned in over Faith to get a good look at what Jasmine was showing them. She peered in close at the marking to see the two letters. "T.K." She glanced up at Faith's next try at a name. She tilted her head with a curious smile on her face. "Tha's nice. I 'member my daddy used his 'nitials...." she drifted off and there was a long pause, as if Shune was wondering if she had really spoken. She glanced down and fiddled with the bedsheet, falling quiet. After a moment she added "But tha's a nice name. I like it...."
She slid off the bed and walked off behind the counter. Using the stool to clamber up, she sat up on the counter. She took a small pitcher of water and carefully poured herself a cup of water. She said nothing more, sitting up on the counter and drinking her cup of water.
In the awkward silence that followed, the infirmary door opened again, another familiar creature walking in. "So we were kind of wondering," Tannia started in, shutting the door back behind her, "what all was going on. We saw Jamie return with a cat in tow, then Whisper go flying off in quite a hurry and then all of them make their way o- " she stopped in mid-sentence as her gaze fell on Faith and the tiny creature in her arms.
"Oh my gosh, where... what..." She walked over to Faith, and gently peeled back the blanket to give her a better view of the blue-eyed little bunny. "Awww," she cooed, reaching out to give the bunny a little tickle on her cheek. Whatever had been bothering Tannia before apparently didn't matter now, her entire attention now on this new little Dibbun.
----------
Donato. Right. Jamie took note of that and filed it away for later use. He didn't know why he kept forgetting the hare's name. "Anyhow... you almost done there, chap?" He asked, turning to Maddox. "Jasmine needs t'give you a proper check-up, wot." Plus, he wanted to check on the bunny himself. Having found the pair, he felt a kind of responsibility over them, even though he knew they would be fine here without him.
Eula's attention left Donato and she went back to speaking with Jamie. "So where does he come from?"
Jamie shrugged. "Honestly, all I can tell ya is I found 'im out in the Wood with a little bunny an' a dead rat."
"A bunny?"
"Yes, that'n's up with Jasmine."
Eula sighed. "Don't you think we have enough Dibbuns here? You had to bring more..."
Jamie smirked, reaching out to flick Eula's ear. "Hush you."

::Faith blinked after Shune, but only before she could reply, someone else came upon the door, and her smile grew as she could tell that Tannia really liked the little one...::
I wanted to name 'er after ya!!! ::She positively bubbled over, still taking the greatest care with the little one::
We were all trying to come up with names... ::Jasmine added, trying to subtly watch Shune out of the corner of her eye... a slight frown on her face there that she tried to hide, her concern for the otter there, she didn't seem quite right... and it only brought memories of the last time the otterbabe had been healing in battles...::
Tara, Tracy, Trixy... ::She trailed onward::
'cause a' this... ::She took up the cause with a beam, holding the blanket again, to show the mark that they had all seen thus far now, of the letters TK together::
