So, I'm trying to get my JET application in the mail, but I'm having a few difficulties. I managed to get most of them sorted out, but I still haven't gotten my letter of recommendation from one of my professors yet. I'm getting a bit nervous. @_@

Oh dear! Can you send an attachment or something saying that your last letter is on its way, or does the whole application have to be sent in all at once?

Happy Thanksgiving! xd I had a ton of fun, eventhough I sabatagued my diet. lol
I finally got that second letter of recommendation, so I'm getting my JET application in the mail tomorrow morning. I'm going to overnight it and get it certified to make sure that it gets there in one piece. heart

I don't think anybody's expecting you to stick to your diet on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas! You've got the other 361 days of the year to stay on track and do everything in moderation! blaugh wink
I'm glad your other letter finally came in! xd When is the deadline to have your application postmarked in order to be considered eligible for admission into the program?

It's not a postmark deadline. My application has to be in the JET offices in Washington DC by 5:30 PM on Friday, December 2nd. I'm cutting so close, that I'm not taking any chances, so I'm going to overnight the thing. If I do that, it will be guaranteed to be there by Tuesday unless it gets lost in the mail. sweatdrop I wasn't exactly good today either. We ate lunch on the road, so I got chicken fries and onion rings from Burger Kind. sweatdrop But, I've still managed to lose 49 pounds. I was hoping to hit 50 by Thanksgiving, but at least I'm still going in the right direction.

Like I said, I wouldn't sweat worrying about your eating this weekend. Now that Thanksgiving is over, you can go right back to "being good," as you put it wink , until Christmas! But congratulations on losing so much weight and getting so close to the Thanksgiving goal you set for yourself! ^_^

I just saw when I weighed last week that I was 1.5 pounds way from hitting the 50 mark, so I was hoping I could lose 1.5 pounds in a week. I only lost half a pound. sweatdrop I've really been splurging with the sweets recently, so I'm not really losing very quickly. Normally, it wouldn't matter, but I'm on a deadline with the JET programme. My original goal was to have lost 60 pounds by Christmas, but I don't think that's going to happen. I wanted to hit 100 pounds by May, but I doubt that's going to happen unless I whip myself into shape and start exercising more.

Yay! I bet you're so relieved knowing that it's out of your hands now...at least until interview time. But at least you have a little time to relax knowing that you've done all you can do for now.

I'm subbing in different schools everyday, so I might end up with a nasty virus before it's over with. Kids are so full of germs! I'm glad to have you back! biggrin
