Bez looks up with a questioning look. "Something wrong?" he asks picking up his spoon. It is easy to see he's thought a lot about the eating habits of the lions, Their pannikins are shallower than his and far larger and their drinks are served in vessels that are easy to drink from.

The dark haired angel shrugs. "Seems to me we could all use a little celebration in our lives right now. Even if it's only the celebration of being together... as friends... as a family... as...." he looks to Ai and smiles and lifts his mug, taking a drink. "Troublesome partners, who tend to lose the gifts they are given. Yer rings are behind yer dish, dulcha. Ye had taken them off to wash the dishes the other night."
Ai looks down at her soup and blushes furiously. "I was afraid to tell you..." she whispers softly in return.
'I know..." he says in a gentle tease.

Ai sighs. "I kind of forgot. It's just the ring that Hope gave me to hold onto, plus something that Bez slipped to me the other day." She reaches behind the bowl and pulls out a chain, upon which two rings hang, one familiar and another of spun gold in an intricate knot about a small red garnet.

Bez looks at him worriedly. "Kero, what's wrong? It's just something I found lying in a crack on the kitchen floor. Heck it wasn't even polished. So I cleaned it up and worked it a bit. It wasn't something you needed is it?"

Bez smiles with relief. "Heart's blood." he says lightly touching the stone. "When I saw it, that's what I thought... here's a bit of my heart and I knew who to share it with."

Ai bats at him with her paw and asks him to help her put the chain on.
"Yeah... enough of this mushy stuff... Let's eat. I"m starved." grumbles Hopian with a wink for Fortuny.

"Look what it got us into the last time..." he grumbles back nodding down at the basket on the bench beside them. Gemfire is staring at him so hard, he almost believes he can see him, then suddenly it hits him. Gemfire's eyes are open. "Fortuny... look!" he chortles.

He nuzzles her back, sort of. His movements are still a little off, but he definitely sees her.
Salunia sticks her head into the basket and gives him a lick. "He gots funny eyes... dey don't match."
