[Barkwind almost jumped out of her pelt, at the sound of... Cinderstreak? Her face screwed up in confusion and surprise.] "Wai- what?" [She managed sputtered, as she started to feel extremely self conscious. She stared at him for a second, checking, rechecking... Yeah, she was alive. She quickly dropped her green gaze back to the ground.] "I've been okay. Er... You?" [Barkwind grappled the ground with her claws, and flattened her ears, expecting the worst possible answer. After all, she mused , that's everything what cat like me will ever deserve. Living off others pity, disgust, and my own sickly mind. ]

I heard Cinderstreak snort on the inside. Wanna ask her something? he asked, chuckling.
I growled inwardly at Cinderstreak. Don't even, I thought hostily. I wasn't dealing with this. None of my inner emotions showed though, and I kept smiling at Barkwind. Perhaps I did want to ask her something. Somewhat cautiously, as if I had thorns at my neck, I cleared my throat. "Actually, I wanted to ask you something," I meowed evenly, still smiling with the hint of amusement sparkling in my eyes. A list of possible ways to ask her instantly popped into my head, arranging themselves from logical to just plain stupid.

[Burrpelt chuckled and sat down, curling her tail around his paws.] "They'll be interesting warriors, won't they?" [he murmured with amusement. He cast a glance at Skywhisker.] "You're an exellent mentor. It makes me wonder what kind of mentor I'd be, if that ever happened that is." [He shrugged.] "Doesn't matter. It's enought to scold Oaktail every day." [He laughed.] "In a way, Ceaderpaw and Oakpaw remind me of me and Oaktail."That is too soon;
Cut them in July,

Broken once again managed to squeeze away from Riverfang long enough to make it back to the twins and Burrpelt. She sat down and curled her tail around her paws "Rouges aren't as dangerous as you think...well when injured anyways so there's no point in alerting anyone that I'm here, after all, why would I attack so many cats at once? I'm not stupid" she hissed lowly so that only they would hear "Maybe it's because it's so weird or maybe because you're the first three cats I've met who actually somewhat fear me here but I seem to no be able to get you out of my head" she said casting a glance at the twins. "So as long as I can manage to escape unnoticed I think I'll be hanging out with you"

He blinked and looked at her.] "I also think he fancies Featherheart." [he mewed with amusement.] As you do Skywhisker! [Burrpelt growled. That stupid voice again. Was this some sort of joke from StarClan?] Bet she fancies you too. Wait! Didn't you seem to like Featherheart before she introduced you to Skywhisker? [It said. Burrpelt's ears got hot but he shook it off.] Shut up! [he growled to it.] That is too soon;

[Barkwind looked sideways at Cinderstreak, surprised. Her heart flip flopped at the site of his... blue eyes.] "Who me?" [She stammered. 'Of course you... Idiot.' Barkwind grew hot, and dug her claws farther into the earth, her eyes flickering to the ground and back to Cinderstreak.] "Yeah, me uh- What is it?" [She tried and failed an attempt to cover up her blunder. Of course. 'Don't even try. Your already tthought lowly of anyway. You can't ever change your reputation Barkwind. Always tobe the lowly warrior that barely made it out of apprenticeship, the hunk of fur that will always be left in that corner of yours. Of course.'']

[Burrpelt jumped, startled by Skywhisker's sudden...enthusiasm. He watched her with large eyes as she pranced around like an excited kit. His head tilted.] "Well, I don't want to totally embarass Oaktail but I'll slip it to him some how." [he purred.] Like how you should tell Skywhisker that? You know you want to. [Burrpelt flicked his ears.] Shut up. [He said, this time in a much calmer voice.] No. [It retorted.] I'm simply waiting for the proper time. I can't just randomly say it. [He turned his attention to Skywhisker who was now calmed down. He ran his tail over her ear.] "You two must be very close for you to care so much about her." [he meowed.] That is too soon;

I caught myself though, only revealing a small smile. I didn't want to upset her. Cinderstreak snorted and chucked as soon as he realized this, but I ignored it. I'd snap at him later.
As soon as I was about to speak, my mind went blank. What was I going to say? Or how, rather. I felt my ears burn hot as I hesitated. I had to say something! I quickly improvised.] "When was the last time you ate? I'm starving, but I probably won't be able to finish whatever Ieat," I tried to meow cooly, but it came out sounding odd to my ears. I laughed slightly, and smiled in a somewhat sweet way. "Want to eat something with me?" I asked, gazing at her somewhat softly. My eyes studied her for a few moments. Her black and white fur looked...I couldn't think of the word for it.

Haha! Rejection! [Burrpelt's voice rang in his head. He tensed and growled,] Th-that's not true! She's just naming that there are other cats she admires. [If that was true, why didn't he believe himself? Realizing that he was creating an awkward moment, he said] "Really? I've never really talked to Hawkblaze. Never thought of it. Featherheart's very kind and also very considerate. Without her I don't think I'd ever have crossed paths with you." [He stopped, feeling embarassed now.] "B-but Ceaderpaw and Oakpaw are adorable in their own way. Of course since I mentioned they remind me of myself and my brother." [His ears batted and he stopped, looking their way. He turned to Skywhisker and looked at her, admiring how her eyes seemed so unique. He looked away and started grooming his chest to stop himself from staring.] Mouse-brain. She rejected you. And you just embarassed yourself by staring. Very smooth. That is too soon;
