Lyssan sits up and yawns. "Actually, that is what I would like to know. "I was coming to fetch her to go for a walk with Ame and I. I knew the two of you were supposed to do something together and she had been looking so forward to it, but I also heard that Nimbus was feeling under the weather. I thought we could distract her for you a bit. I was coming up the stairs when suddenly Bash came running down so fast I thought he'd leave his shoes behind and we both know how high he laces those, clear up to his knees.... Mad Dragon... mad dragon... he was crying.... didn't even take the time to stop and tell me what was going on. I thought it odd, then was bowled over by a rush of flying objects, brushes and dolls, mostly. Not thrown, mind you... these things were flying, like a swarm of insects and it was easy to see they were after him. I severed the link to whatever was handling them, waited only long enough to make sure they weren't going to get back up and came running in here. By then she was already out of control. She took one look at me and disappeared... but the damage was done... the room was in shambles. It wasn't hard to find her though, all I had to do was follow the trail of destruction." She looks at Luna and sighs, shaking her head.

*Kero looks at Luna and nods*
Then that is all I need to know. Luna, do you have something you want to say?

Luna sighs heavily. "I sowwy, Gamma..." she whispers huskily.
Voices at the doorway catch their attention.
"Whewwwie.... now this is a mess."
"Hey, let me show you that box I found...."
"OK, are you sure she's not here right now... you said she got really mad at you."
It is Crash and Bash, armed with buckets, mops and brooms.
"She's upstairs, I saw her go up a few minutes ago. Look, there it is... over there on the shelf."
Suddenly Luna rears up in Kero's arms and screams at the brownies. "Get away frum my boxxxxxxx......."
Scattered bits of broken toys begin to fly in circles about them, going faster and faster. Alarmed, Luna's eyes go wide with fright and she disappears with a terrified "Eeeeep!!!!"
Lyssan rears up, severing the tie to the flying toys with a swift wave of her hand and plops down to the bed with a soft bitterly amused grunt. "It appears our little dragon has more in common with me than I thought. Did you see her eyes? They were blood red, Kero... and well, she has my temper to boot, apparantly, complete with it's kinetic component."
She looks at the two cowering brownies and shakes her head. "What are the two of you doing in here anyway? I don't remember assigning you to this apartment."
Crash ventures a hesitant peek from under his arms, then slowly unfolds himsel from the defensive ball position he had assumed. "Cleaning we were... " he replies looking around him as though that answer should have been self evident. He pokes his twin in the side and stands up. "She went upstairs you said.... It was safe you said... remind me not to listen to you anymore. You are not safe."
Bash slowly stands up as well and hangs his head. "All I wanted to do is look at the box..." he moans sadly, peeking at the object from the corner of his eye.
"Don't you two know better than to touch anything a dragon possesses without permission first?" asks Kero in amazement.
"Bash... tell me... were you part of the problem earlier?" demands Lyssan in a low cold voice.
He looks up at her in confusion. "Problem? What problem? I was cleaning her room and found this box... but it wouldn't open, so I was going to fix it... I was carrying it out the door to show to Crash when she flew in all upset and crying about something and the next thing I knew she was attacking me... then the whole dang room came at me. I wasn't going to keep it... only fix it."
Lyssan sighs. "Sorry, Kero... I think we both jumped to conclusions that were completely unfounded and were far too ready to blame her for behaviors that were well, rather instinctive. Couple that with some inate powers she has no idea how to control and... boom. If she says she popped... well that is pretty much how I feel when I blow my stack. Trouble is... how do you teach anger management to one so young. Crash... I want you to go summon the staff and tell Ame we need him, immediately. Bash, you are to clean this room completely and mend her toys... all of them and don't you dare touch that box. There's nothing wrong with it. It's enchanted... it won't open for anyone but it's creators and it's owner. Do you understand? You lay one finger on that thing and I'll make you wish you weren't born. If you think Luna was a mad dragon, wait until you are faced with me."
Bash cowers before her, bobbing his head. "Yes, Mistress, no touch the box... after this, I won't ever touch the box... she's one scarrrrry draggie when she's mad..."
Crash snorts rudely through his nose. "Idiot.." he mutters under his breath. "You're lucky she didn't bite off yer head..." Then he straightens up and bows formally to the kitsune. "Fetch Lord Amestru and summon the staff. Yes, Mistress, I shall do so immediately." and runs from the room.
That settled, Lyssan strides briskly from the room, pulling Kero behind her in her wake, every bit the Kitsune Queen. Standing on the landing of the stairs, she taps her chin with her finger tip, comtemplating their next move. "Alright... since she's more me than we thought... where would I go if I was frightened half out of my wits by something I couldn't control..."

*Kero sits, thinking slowly, tapping his chin with an emaciated finger...though Lyssan notices he is looking much fuller than he has before*
I...honestly don't know, Ly. I don't think she went back to her box, though I intend to check over it thoroughly.

Shaking her head ruefully Lyssan agrees. "She hasn't been able to access that thing unless we had it open before... and well, as Bash can attest to, it's closed. Was it open when you found her the last time?"

Kero shook his head. "I don't know." he replied honestly, "Last I checked, I just teleported in. I'll do that now, in fact."
He did just that, teleporting into Luna's box, and finding absiolutely no sign of his precious little baby dragon. Coming out, he shook his head at Lyssan, and signaled her that it was time to search the building itself, and the grounds. He would take the Xanthian forest, as he was best suited for searching such an area.
"Good luck, Lyssie. Signal me if we find her." Though he was acting cool and calm, his close friends, like Lyssan, could see he was clearly upset, and extremely frightened. It was in his eyes, given away by his Sapphire blue irises.

Lyssan, walks down to the gathering hall of the palace taking the time it takes to get ther to orgainze her thoughts and form a plan of action. The first thing she would do was question everyone to see it the dragonling had shown up around anyone. Then, if she had not, she was going to send out search parties, with explicit instruction.
As she enters the hall, she spies her mate talking to Crash near the raised dais that they often spoke from. Gathering everyone closer with a wave of her hand, he joins him there.
"I take it Crash has told you what has happened?" she asks nodding to the two.
Amestru sighs and nods back. "Aye, Luna's gone missing again... and is probably frightened half out of her wits. You did read Bash the riot act, did you not? One should never, never invade a dragon's domain."

While the Lord and Lady of the small pocket realm were conversing and dispensing search orders, the Lord of the Empty Realm was twisting his way through a number of puns, some making him laugh, others making him groan.
As he stepped around a new-monia flower, he heard a small sound, and a familiar one. It was the cry of a young dragon, one he had not only heard, but had voiced himself numerous times.
Spreading his cloak wide, he ran towards the sound, the heavy black folds obscuring him from the predators of the punny land. Rounding a corner, he came upon a small black dragon. Though he could see at a glance it wasn't his little Luna, he still went over and picked the small one up, comforting it...him...in his arms.
"Little one," He said, soothingly, "Where is your mother? And why are you out of the nest and all alone?"
The black dragon was too young to understand him, he knew, even though he spoke in Draconic. It twisted in his arms, though, growing comfortable. Even infants know a protector when they see and hear one.
Kero hugged the little one close, looking about for his nest. He couldn't have been too far away, unless he had been dropped here by his parents for some reason. Lightly cursing his too kind nature, Kero gently spread the wings he kept hidden under his cloak, soaring into the air in search of the nest the little one would call home.

While Kero finds himself distracted, searching out the nest of the misplaced little dragon, Lyssan marshals the keep into three parties... one for the palace itself, comprised mostly of the small folk, as they knew best all the nooks and crannies a small dragon might find to crawl into... another for the palace grounds... and a final group, comprised of the realms finest woodsment to comb the country side.
"She terrified and, though I hate to say this at the present time, in her state of mind, quite possibly dangerous." she warns everyone before she sends them off. "Black dragons are acid spitters and their acid is quite potent, if you are spat on, wash first then confront her about it. But whatever you do, try not to upset her any further. She's been given the impression that she's done something terribly bad, and while it is true her behavior was questionable, she was reacting instinctively. A dragon's hoard is sacrosant, one touches it at their own peril. And to make matters worse, she's showing signs of kinetic abilities which at present are linked to her emotional state, coming forth under times of duress. Therefore I warn you, be careful, be cautious, be calm... and most of all be kind. In time she will learn to contol this new power of hers, but to teach her how, we need to find her first."

Kero soon found the nest of the little one, and gently placed him back inside, singing him to sleep. With that distraction dealt with, the Voidmage was free to search once more, which he did. Over and over he searched the forest of Xanth, taking on all three layers, canopy, ground, and understory, at once. His nature prevented him from giving up until, finally, he exhausted every possible area that she could be in Xanth, and gave up on it, returning to Lyssan, where he shook his head sadly before giving her the bad news.
"Nowhere in Xanth is she to be found. A Mixed blessing, to be sure. I know she must be somewhere around your little realm. She can't fly between realms yet, not without someone's help. I think I know what I need to do to find her, though."
With that, the Voidic Mage sat down on a dais raised for meditation, arranging his robes and body properly as he sank deep into his magic, occluding the world. Everything sank into blackness as he forced himself to forget the existence of the world around him as he searched the energies of life and death for the familiar spark that was his Little Luna.

Lyssan watches him sink into his trance with a heavy heart. She knew what it was like to lose one she cared for. Her relationship to Amestru was relatively short in comparason to the long, colorful life she had lived up to stumbling upon his tiny temple ruin, and she had gone through a series of companions before him. Still, knowing how one felt and experiencing it for oneself was two seperate things. And it was not getting the tiny dragon found, so she goes down to her courtyard to check up on the organization of the three seperate search teams.
The wide open grassing lawn before the main entrance is a scene of organized chaos, with Amestru overseeing the setting up of various checkpoints and the distribution of supplies for those who are going out into the wilds.
"Lyssie, do you truly believe she'd go that far out?" he asks as he catches sight of her walking his way.
She sighs and shakes her head. "Yes and no. She's a people person. She needs to feel in contact with those around her. But right now, I suspect she believes herself to be dangerous, so I just don't know. She's been told not to go in that direction and why. It is a region of unsettled forest, with no inhabitants, but Kero found her so quickly the last time, she may be desperate to try it."

Kero, meanwhile, slowly expanded his sphere of Influence, gently taking in the sustenance Crash and Bash seem to know to bring him. As the blackness increased, a chill passed over the search parties, one that seemed to strike into their very souls. It was the chill of the touch of Nothingness. The touch of Death. Slowly, Kero continued to expand, searching ever farther, ever wider, seeking the energy of his beloved daughter. The mage was now stock still where he sat, his eyes cold and closed, his skin pale as the moon, clashing with his night dark robe. He was, for all intents and purposes, a statue, appearing completely dead to the world.

Tes comes in with Nimbus, each of them bundled to the eyes in blankets and robes, and sits down near by, to watch over him. He hadn't told her of what he was up to, but as she felt the chill descend over the palace, she knew he was performing something rather vast and might need help.
In the courtyard Lyssan assures the searchers that there was nothing to be worried about, but deep inside she wonders if perhaps, Kero was digging a little too deep in his search.
Suddenly she hears a cry of discovery come from deep within the keep as Kero senses something burrowed deep beneath the floorboards of the stables.
