If I have my say, she'll have her party. It's her first birthday party, and she's been looking forward to it for two weeks. I don't think it's right to take it away from her for this. Punish, yes. She's lucky she escaped a spanking. But not to lose her party. As well, the inhabitants of this castle don't get much to party about, and it seems wrong to me to deprive them of that chance. Luna will have to apologize to everyone, and if they say they want a written apology, or that she needs five minutes in a corner, she will have to do it. I'll be there to keep things in hand, but she will be grounded, and she will make her apologies.

Tes thinks about this for a moment, then nods. "That makes sense, especially if we keep the party at a low profile... more like a large family gathering rather than something elaborate. Actually, I think that might just be what she needs... people about her, not necessarily fussing over her but showing her how much she means to them."

Tes shakes her head in amusement. "Sometimes, Kero, you says the silliest things. ALright, I'll talk to Ly and AMestru about it. I think you should focus on Luna for now. Help her make her rounds of those she's crossed and make her amends. Someone that young is going to need some emotional encouragement. It's hard enough to say you are sorry about something as an adult... as a child it can be impossible. But you know what... let's not tell Luna that we are having the party... I'm not being mean or anything, but surprising her might make her very happy."

She and Lyssan are still fast asleep and as he looks around the room, his heart sinks. For some reason, all her books are untouched, but every other toy, including her blocks and things normally considered unbreakable, are damaged. It almost resembles one of his rages, the damage is so complete. And a good number of them are unfixable. He honestly cannot envision her doing this. It seems unbelievable but the evidence before his eyes cannot be refuted. He goes to pick up one of her building blocks which seems to have burst open from within. How in heaven's name did she do that?

But the tiny dragon is sound asleep and he really doesn't want to wake her. If she did expend that much power, she needed to rest.

She looks up at him and sighs. "I am well, I suppose. Could be better. Poor thing, she really lost it, didn't she?" SHe shows him the acid burns on her hands. "Don't blame her though. She wasn't aiming for me. Something scared the heck out of her and she jumped, knocking over the lamp And when I tried to pull her from the room, she spat to scare me off. She didn't mean to make contact, I'm sure."

One. I know My Sira's stance on it, and Lady Lyssan's. I gave Luna a choice between a grounding or a spanking for her punishment for this nonsense. What are your opinions on the latter?
