Ai looks up with a grimmace and says sweetly. "Oh, and what do you call what you did... communication takes many forms, Kerobian. And I'm afraid I did not cause that response. Bez is right. It's the intent that gets you the stone these days, nothing more. Had you stubbed yer toe and swore, nothing would have happened. Instead you drug quite a few minds through the sewer just now... and just so you know. Salunia's was one of them."

Ai nods. "True... and if one should ask me what you were attempting to say, I would be hard set to answer them, but you were testing a boundary, were you not? As such the intent was present... Let me put it this way, Kero, what I felt in my mind was akin to being drug through the midden face first."

Bez nods grimly. "Indeed, I have this sudden urge to go soak in a steaming bath and never come out. It is as though my thoughts will never taste right to me again... M'lady, you are a marginal talent. I know not how it affected you. How feel you?" he asks Fortuny with a nod.

But little Gemfire is rubbing at his nose, trying to make the bad smell go away and when Salunia walks into the room, her face twisted into a scowl asking what smells in the house, Kero realizes that he might be onto something here. Psychic stinks, hmmm, a new way to prank. (LOL)

"Open the window.... It baaaad." she grumbles, shaking her head and going to sit by her brothers. She stares at the two, wondering why Gem smells it but Night does not.

"Some lions just like people have better noses than others." laughs Ai with a wink. "You just happen to have a very good nose for tracking. I bet you help your daddy all the time, don't you? And when you track, can you tell if the animal is afraid or nervous?"

**I know... but Ai calls him Night, sorry.... my bad.**

Ai nods encouragingly. "Uhuh, it sure is, but I bet you can sometimes tell just how scared or frightened they truly are, long before you get a really good whiff of them as well... right? Don't worry, you won't get in trouble for it... Just consider it an extra hunting tool. A special one."

"Do ye now? That's another important skill. It always helps to know when he's upset. How about with me? Can you tell when I'm upset as well. I noticed you knew I was Ai, even when I was trying to look like Talesian." asks Ai calmly, attempting to figure out just how strong an empath she truly was.

Ai smiles kindly at her. "That's ok, too. Though You will also probably feel your brother, Gemfire, as well. Both Kero and Gem are what is called projective empaths. All empaths feel the emotions of those around them. You are an empath as well. As am I and even Bez to some extent. But like many things not everyone is very good at it. You are not all that strong as yet. As you get older you might get better, but then maybe you won't. I really can't tell right now. A projective empath can make people feel what they are feeling, and strong ones do it without thinking sometimes. I am one of those, just like Kero, but I have been trained and trained and trained... and hopefully I no longer leak as badly as he does."
