Shínbào cocked his head slightly "Power down," he whispered as the armor almost immediately decreased in thickness, though it was still slightly thicker than it had been before activation, the low pitched whistling of the restrained gills faded away as he took a slow, deep breath, though the dark lens over his eyes and the chitinous appearance of the suit was still markedly noticeable. "I was sent this suit, though... it was kind of by accident that I discovered I could breathe freely underwater with it... and now... I don't know how I knew... but... I knew," he said softly, glancing at the armor covering his hands, noticing that the outlines of the sharp claws were still there, revealing they were there, but retracted.

Lalia Lalia watched then pulled him into another hug. "I'm just glad to see you okay. I was worried."she said. She was scared that she was going to race him to the surface. "Shall we finish searching this ship then head back up to the boat."she said. Lalia blushed as she realized that she was still hugging him. She let go but her cheeks were still a bit red.

Shínbào snorted softly. "I was more worried about you. I saw the deck leaning... then distantly heard you," he said softly, not noticing that the armor was actually retracting from his torso, but leaving his lower arms, the tops of his shoulders and shoulder blades covered as well as thin portions running along his biceps, almost outlining the lean, compact, highly powerful muscle. "Might be best. No sense in tempting something like that happening again... or worse," he said softly. He was unaware that the armor's darker colors actually emphasized the bronze-coppery tones of his own skin, drawing the eyes like a magnet.

LaliaLalia nodded her head then lead him around the ship. After finding nothing they headed back up to the boat. Lalia tossed the bag up before pullI go herself up onto a platform. She wrapped herself up before pulling her tail out of the water.

Shínbào noticed a slight gleam of color, spotting a pair of knives hanging from an old, battered belt from a spire of dead coral. He quickly grabbed them before swimming to the surface, wincing as his muscles protested.

LaliaLalia reached her hand out and pulled him up once he surfaced. She handed him a towel then rested back against the boat. "Let's just relax a little."she said. Lalia smiled at him before resting against him.

Shínbào panted before he exhaled slowly, coughing as the facial armor disengaged, seeming to liquify before receding down over his shoulders, leaving his dark reddish black hair soaking wet. "Found," he started when the belt broke in his hand, the knives rattling on impact with the deck before he nodded slowly, blushing as he felt the breeze before he blinked, glancing down at himself, finding that the armor had retracted from his thighs and upper calves, but still covered his hips, feet, and forearms. "If I didn't know better, I would have said the armor was sentient and trying to seduce you," he mumbled as he felt her leaning against his bare chest, her warmth a marked difference from the cooler breeze.

LaliaLalia blushed then nuzzled his neck a bit. "Seduce me? I highly doubt that...more like me seducing you."she said. She kissed his cheek before pulling away. The scales were disappearing as her legs were starting to reappear. "How much do you know about mermaids?'she asked.

Shínbào shrugged as he exhaled softly. "Not much, though if they're all as cute and beautiful as you, then... if you all became supermodels, you'd probably be able to take over the world," he deadpanned, shrugging slightly at his honest opinion although it came out in a slightly joking, teasing tone. He blinked at her comment about seducing him, a bit unsure about that, yet hoping she hadn't noticed that his armored shorts had tightened significantly.

LaliaLalia smirked at him then rested back against him "You see when we are out of salt water, our tails disappear. Leaving us bare naked."she said. She began to run her fingers over his chest. "Mermaids have been hunted for their beauty and powers. Though we are able to blend in once we get use to being out of salt water."she said.

Shínbào hummed thoughtfully as he exhaled softly. "Are they stupid? The only thing that kidnapping does is ensure resentment if not hatred," he deadpanned, rolling his eyes. He shivered as he felt Laila's warm touch.

Lalia"Yes but that is tradition that died."she said. Lalia slowly stood up, making sure the towel was still around her. She went to her bag and quickly put a bikini on. Lalia walked back over and snuggled up him. She softly kissed his neck up to his cheek.

Shínbào exhaled softly. "Good. Hopefully the stupid people that came up with it died too," he sighed softly before he closed his eyes, relaxing. He inhaled in surprise as he felt her warmth before he felt the soft, gentle contact at his throat that slid slowly up to his jawline. All he did, however, was tilt his head so she had easier access. "You know you didn't have to get dressed," he teased.

LaliaLalia smirked then kissed his cheek. She giggled softly. "Mmm but this way if we have visitors all they see is two people out boating. Though I can always change just for you."she said. Lalia stood up and and help him up. She headed back into the main part of the boat and sat down. "Up for another swim in a bit?"she said.

Shínbào chuckled softly. "Really? Of course, though I don't remember seeing too many people out here, otherwise I probably wouldn't have had to deploy the raft," he said softly before he sat against the side of the boat, touching the knives he'd scooped up from the deck that had, at one time been attached to the leather belt. "Hmmm, these knives, unless I'm mistaken, have Damascus steel blades... and the hilts are layered quartz and amethyst polished to a shine and held together with molded gold," he observed thoughtfully. He didn't notice the runic form engraved into the gold; unknown to him, it was actually linked to Lalia's own family.
