When life pushes me, I push harder, what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Mairi cocked her head. What would I have to learn? Honestly, I'm not that sure where I'd be compared to most students... knowing my luck, I'd probably be three or more years behind, she said shyly, leaning against the wall with a thoughtful look.

In the world, I mean, she said shyly, holding the crystalline coin between her middle finger and forefinger before she flicked it in the air and caught it between her thumb and forefinger in a fluid motion. She was almost certain the bird she heard was most certainly not in this part of the world.

Mairi was struck by an idea as she went to her room before she summoned her dao, checking it thoroughly before she decided to sharpen it, making sure its edge was so sharp, it could cut nearly anything.
