Was she hesitating? Had he been wrong? Was this not what she wanted? Perhaps he was asking too much of her! His heart began to race and his hands shake more noticeably. Sure it had only been a few seconds, but those few seconds were the hardest to Anteros. He'd put his heart on the line and a part of him was scared of that. He was scared of losing his family, but more so scared to lose her.
His heart lightened immediately at her words. He dropped to both knees as she fell into his arms. He drew her close and buried his face into her neck, his own tears pouring down his face. A part of it was of sheer joy, but also a twinge of pain. He was more than willing to give it all up to her, but it didn't make it any less difficult. What would his mother say?
Gently he pulled back so he could slip the ring on her finger. He stared at it, moving her hand around so he could see it shimmer, feeling pride in his work. He then leaned in to kiss her deeply. “Thank you, Yukiko! I-i can't believe this.” he paused and laughed “Maybe I can, you've always expressed your love, but still. It's... It's exciting.” his voice slowly dropped to a whisper as he just searched her eyes. This was really happening! He had to lean in for another kiss!
“Lets go!” He exclaimed, pulling back suddenly. “We need to find my mother! How perfect would it be to have a vacation marriage and honey moon right here? Let's make this happen.” he stood, lifting her with him. His eyes were sparkling as he spread his large wings, gathering her up in his arms in order to carry her with him. He just couldn't let her go! Not with how the joy was bubbling out of them.
He took to the sky in a flourish, making his way towards the ship. As they flew over it he frowned deeply. Where was everyone? There had been Pae there when they had left and now... Nothing. He lowered them gently to the ground and found a disheveled Cherub. According to the cherub, Venus had stormed off the ship and into the forest after the disappearing Pae. Pae had been disappearing?
Once he'd gotten a sound understanding of which way she'd gone, he gathered his now fiance into his arms and took to the sky once again. He did his best to keep his thoughts on Yukiko's smiling face and the pure joy he was feeling, but every inch that brought him close to Venus was more dread settling into his heart. How was he suppose to tell his mother that he was giving up everything she'd given him for Yukiko? How was he suppose to renounce his home for a mortal? More so, how would they understand?
He kept a smile on his face so Yukiko wouldn't catch on to his darkening thoughts. His whole life he'd struggled with this fear of disappointing his mother. She'd done so much for him, he just wanted to live the best way he could in order to live up to what she'd done. Would this be like throwing it back in her face? Would she not only strip him of his godhood, but also refuse to see him? This caused a stabbing pain in his chest. He hadn't considered it, but how could he? She loved him too much for that!
He took in a deep breath and dashed the thoughts away. He couldn't turn his back on Yukiko now. As much as he loved his mother he needed Yukiko. She filled those places in his life that had stood empty for so long. She was the radiant sun that brought him joy. They'd been through so much together, and she'd stayed faithful. It took a strong woman to put up with a relationship like they have had. The distance...
The clearing appeared in the trees ahead and Anteros made his decent. Once his feet touched the ground he set Yukiko down, before taking her had firmly in his. He would need all of the strength he could muster right now. He looked at her once more, her joy melting his heart, before he led her towards Venus. He paused a second, he'd never seen his mom so disheveled! What had gone on here?
He pushed it all aside. He couldn't let anything distract him from his mission. “Mother” he called to her, stopping with Yukiko at his side. He lifted her hand to show his mother the ring he had made for his fiance, “I've made up my mind.” He took a sharp breath in, “I know what this means for me, and I am prepared to take on the consequences. I love her, and I am done living life without her. If this means giving it all up...” he trailed off, not sure how to word it, but sure his mother was getting the point of what he was putting out there.
“Even so, I'd hope you'd be the one to marry us. Give me that one blessing as your son...”

Azure looked at Dyas, his face quite serious. "We were told not to go in the jungle, and who knows why." The group that had been asking for help seemed to be long gone now, he couldn't hear their voices anymore. "And we don't really know what was going on with them." It was all the truth, and all reasons why he didn't want to risk potentially endangering Dyas. "Let's go relax, just the two of us." He gently rubbed her shoulder, attempting to encourage her. He would have loved to help, but he just wasn't willing to take the risks. "Maybe we can let someone know that they went in there..." Azure said thoughtfully.

Well now, this was a show and a half!
Dinner and a show?
Well, perhaps not, at least...not with them as the main course. Which was good. He may have joked about some Pae being cute enough to eat up, but not literally. Eww. Besides, then they'd be gone and there'd be no chance for repeat visits...
Entertaining his own little strange train of thoughts, Himeros meandered out of the crowd to get a better look at all the going's on. The bird was a bit surprising, one might say shocking...but honestly, he was personally more amazed by Anteros' sudden appearance and announcement. That actually caused Himeros to pause for a moment and frown. Did he...just...? And he realized the consequences...?
He didn't imagine Mother would take this very well, not on top of everything else given her appearance. That being said, however...there was something to be said seeing his brother step up, taking action for himself and his own interests, Dolandor be damned if anyone or anything got in his way...
Seeking a vantage point to watch all the action, Himeros had gravitated towards the growing sexual energy of the harpies naturally, and without decorum, flopped himself into the makeshift throne and kicked one leg over the arm. He leaned back on one arm, relaxed, the other hand lifting with...an ear of corn he'd snagged from the cooking pot? "It's no popcorn, but it'll have to do for this show..." he muttered to himself with a smirk, eyes dancing as they darted between the major players in this conflict.

ADDRESSING HARPIES (AND HIMEROS)
Were they not already glowing with electric energy, the thunderbird's eyes would have lit up further as the females swiftly began jostling with one another for his attention. His plumage was puffed proudly, crackling with energy. The air surrounding the throne was filled with the growing static charge, soon becoming something more than just static. Tiny little arcs of blue electricity raced over his form, then darted down to ground themselves.
With a soft trill, he locked eyes with each of the harpy females in turn. Each was seeking his attention, so he would grant it. They wanted to impress him...they had much to offer, he noted. Beauty in spades, to be sure. But, he saw also fierceness. Strength. Warriors and songbirds alike. An excellent selection.
"Ladies, ladies," he crooned, leaning forward on one knee, his tail feathers fanning in an appealing manner to keep him balanced on the throne top. "I'm only one bird, but...I think we can make something work here..."
He felt the throne shudder in an unnerving fashion and flashed an irate look towards the orange male lounging below. "You. Get off my throne." The lilting tone he'd used with the females was gone, turning cold and touched with malice. The air crackled with electric energy around the throne, causing discomfort for any Pae'il without resistance to such elements.

After her fish adventures Fraise had been quietly watching the proceedings. She didn't have much time to think before the Pae in the cage were moved to another location...With a giant pot. Fraise had stayed hidden in the outskirts, panicking slightly. What could she do? She had spotted Zoran but...Nooo he couldn't become fish stew! She had made up her mind, she was going to rush in anddd...She didn't know. Something! Anything! But before she could take her first step some sorta...Lightening bird thing showed up and stopped everything. then it sorta just went down hill from there.
Fraise watched in confusion for a bit. Her was snapped out of it as some sorta kitty thing jabbing her with a stick and yelling...Something at her. She couldn't understand. She stared at it for a moment...It was...SO CUTE! Before the little native knew what was happening Fraise had scooped it up in her arms and was hugging the poor thing like a child would it's favorite teddy bear. It wasn't going to put down any time soon.
The bird thing seemed to get angry at one of those gods from the party...Huh. She wavered slightly before stepping through the thicket and towards the throne..She...Had to try.
"Ummm..Mister bird? Sorry to disturb you but could I ask you something?" Her voice was raised slightly so he could hear her over the crackling of electricity. It wasn't fun being near there, that was for sure. "If....If you're not going to eat them...Can I take my boyfriend back?" The angel pointed towards the Naiad that had been captured. "He means the world to me and I want to spend some more time with him before we have to go back home...Please don't eat the others too..It's not nice..."
She shyly turned from side to side before remembering she had a cat pae in her arms. She held it up for him to see "Can I keep this too? It's so cuteeee!" The poor islander was now pretty fluffy from being statically charged. It was whimpering was the universal sound of 'Please save me...Please.'.Antidia Zoran, your beach balls are here. The goddess glared at her son. She just could NOT deal with this right now. "You. My quarters at the resort. BOTH of you." She was prepared to stalk off after them, but she caught the sight of her son sitting on the makeshift throne and what was that? That blue feathered magnificence. It couldn't be true! Venus, wearing her brightest smile to mask her astonishment, slunk up to where the thunderbird was perched. "You are such a pretty birdy! I'm so excited your kind is not extinct! Come we must talk." The thunderbird's anger dissipated at the flattery of this seemingly important Pae. He followed Venus into one of short pygmy tents. They spoke for quite awhile. When they emerged, Venus looked much more like her usual self, smug and radiant, the look of someone who is getting her way as usual. "MY DEARS, I have spoken with this noble creature. This wonderful shockybird is simply too much for my girls to handle; they'd rip themselves apart. Thereby, he has agreed to take over my resort in my absence. Those felines who wish to stay will have free room and board so long as they assist the cherubs with the resort runnings. Any who wish to leave may board the ship with the other guests. I will now take my leave to freshen up. The cherubs will show you all back to the resort." With a flourish, Venus swept out of the village, the little purple-masked tikicat following behind her looking a wee bit guilty.

Anteros blinked in confusion at his mother's reply. She sounded mad, the emotion he was afraid of, but he wasn't expecting to be blown off so easily at such a declaration. He'd basically told her he was ready to give it all up, but apparently whatever this winged creature was must have been a more immediate priority to her.
It stung his heart a bit. He'd come prepared to defend himself, but once again he'd been put on the back burner of his mother's life. He clenched Yukiko's hand out of reflex, trying to hold back the wave of emotions that hit him. That was even more of a reason for him to choose Yukiko. He'd finally found the one that thought of him first, that looked to him like no one else mattered.
He turned away trying to keep his anger from showing, “We should do what she says.” he said in a hoarse whisper to Yukiko. “It may better our circumstance.” This time he didn't pick her up, but instead took to the air holding firmly to her hand. He just needed a moment to gather himself again. His plan had been thrown out the window as well as his emotions. He was even more ready to marry her and be done with this.
They'd made it back to the resort in no time. He landed lightly and tucked his wings back behind him. He gave off a loud sigh of defeat and looked over at his love, “I can't believe she dismissed us so easily.” he said softly to her. The hurt reflected in his eyes but he quickly looked away. “Well, it's not over yet. Thank you for going through this with me, Yukiko. It can't be easy for you.” he slipped a hand into her hair and drew her in for a tender kiss. “I can't thank you enough for sticking by my side.”
He took up her hand once more and led her into the resort. Of course the room they ended up in was grand beyond imagination. Marble pillars linned the room with pink silk and satin drapes everywhere. Was there really a hot tub by the bed? Anteros tried to look anywhere than there, because if he did all he could see was Adonis-
He cleared his throat and pulled out a plush chair for Yukiko, “Here, have a seat, we have been running around quite a bit.” His hands were trembling so he held tightly onto the chair. He wanted this over with. He wanted to get past the pain he was going to inflict and move on to the joy of becoming Yukiko's. Why did it have to drag out so long?

ALL PAE
With Venus back in action, her cherubs also seemed to perk up. They began to pour into the Village, jungle, all over the island in order to begin gathering up the Pae that were spread out. They'd all be lead back to the resort where they would be asked to settle in and relax. Plans for travel back would be shared with them shortly till they got word from Venus.
Some of the female harpies might have lingered behind though... Just for awhile of course. How could they tear themselves away from such a hunk of a bird so soon?
((OOC: You're welcome to wrap up whatever RP you had going on and have your Pae return to the resort. No rush, but hopefully the closing scenes will be played out shortly... So if you'd like your Pae there to experience it!))

Her mother wasn't even responding to her. Harmonia wasn't sure exactly what to do about it. There was the benefit that she likely hadn't heard what the mortal had so rudely said. On the other hand, being flat out ignored hurt. Before trying again Anteros appeared with his mortal. Both looked like they had something important to say but didn't seem to grasp what was going on around them.
Then her brother spoke and Harmonia's world shifted of kilter. He was what?! Stepping back now putting some distance between herself and Venus, Harmonia was completely speechless. She even tried to open her mouth, what came out, "Brother, no don't" became hidden under Venus' reaction.
She felt the rip in their family beginning the same as one would feel in their dress. Anteros losing his family for a mortal? One of her favorite brothers this was extra devastating. Mortals came and went, their family was forever yet here he was choosing to leave them?
There was no fighting it, her eyes welled up a little as she looked on sorrowfully.
The harpies had been completely ignored up until one of them, a male of all things, started getting angry. Why did it not surprise her that it was Himeros causing the fuss? He earned a watery sigh but no more. Venus went off and Harmonia didn't even try anymore.
Once harmony was restored, she followed the cherub back to the hotel not even giving a backwards glace to Tristen. Did her mother even hear her? Did she know she was there? To not even get acknowledged, her heart stung more than it had to know Anteros wanted Yukiko over them. At least Eris had noticed her, that was a dark thought to walk away with.
Lillibeth looked more directly to the 'master hunter' harpy and snarked back, "Yes, you'll have riveting conversions." Who needed hunting skills when they are as beautiful? The little tiki things would probably do the trick all by themselves.
At first she puffed up a bit just because the others thought they had a chance. Then, the lighting and static got worse doing a number on her poor hair do. Fear of the electricity went beyond her appearance, saying a lot. Now she almost a dance going on trying to avoid the static.
So focused on the most handsome bird she'd ever seen, she'd missed Venus' whole entrance and the chaos that ensued. As one of Venus' flock, she really should have gone to her mistress, but how could she? The thunderbird was so mesmerizing! The Diety stealing the throne was only noticed when the most handsome being ever noticed. His anger caused Lillibeth to glare as well.
It was only when Venus and the thunderbird left that she noticed the Mistress was even there. When she returned and everyone was on the point of being ushered back,Lillibeth chose to stay. At least for now she had a king of all harpies to win over. "Even the Goddess of Love herself notices how amazing you are." Her words ended in a trill as her eyes stayed focused on him.Teigra All harpies but Nyra was directly spoken to/at

Venus glided into the room some time later, having cleaned herself up. She stopped in front of the pair. Paying no heed to Yukiko at all, she addressed her son directly. "This is a better venue for the conversation you wanted to have, my son. I had to attend to the bird issue as well. SO," she paused to move to a tufted chair. She sat and settled the ruffles in her dress. "Have you really thought about what this means? You will be stripped of title and powers. You will be separated from the family. No longer able to visit our homeland." She let this hang in the air for a bit, watching the couple fidget. No one would have good feelings about this meeting. "Of course, your brother Himeros has many lovers. I, as well, have no issues with dalliances. Would you really weave your soul to just one Pae'il? When you could have as many as you wanted with no strings attached?" The goddess motioned toward the little purple-masked pygmy. The cat handed her a drink. "Thank you." Venus took quite awhile sipping the drink, gathering her thoughts together. "You are my child. I treasure you above all else. I will not restrict your will. You have approached me and asked in earnest. And in this regard you have pleased me so much more than Eros." Eros had demanded rather than asked. This was meant as a true compliment to Anteros. "I-if," she faltered here unhappy to be in this position. "If you are insistent upon relinquishing your current life for... her," she said, putting emphasis on the word with a vague gesture in Yukiko's direction. It was not said with malice, rather with disregard and the wave was as if Venus were motioning to the sofa or some random vase sitting in the room."If this be so, I will not stop you. You will be married this night. You have until then to weigh the consequences." She motioned for a cherub to send messages to Harmonia as apology for her rudeness before and to Hymnaios to meet with her presently about Anteros. EvilSilverDragon Harmonia will receive a note of apology.

When Harmonia pointed out Adora, his eyes went wide. Why was she tied up? What were they doing to his daughter?! His gaze flicked back to the goddess as she moved towards Venus, but he had other matters to attend to himself. He burst from his cover to run towards the strawberry haired wilwarin. "Adora! Adora! Don't worry, I'm here!" The familiar voice brought her eyes from the screeching blue bird to over her shoulder. "Daddy?" Everything was so confusing, what was going on?
Well, the small pae at least were distracted. She easily slipped out of her restraints and jogged to meet her father. "What are you doing here?"Tristen wrapped his arms around his precious daughter, beyond relieved that she was unharmed. "We went looking for you when Serenity warned us. Come on, lets get you back!" As he spoke he started leading her away. It looked like they were already starting to get round up to leave anyway. He started trailing behind a very sad looking Harmonia. What happened to her?"Leave? Now? But Lucius..." She casted a look over her shoulder, trying to see if she could find him amongst the crowd. How had they gotten separated?

Harmonia made her way through the jungle not needing the Cherub's help. Most of them seemed to understand she was deeply unhappy and left her mostly alone.
One of the tikicats had not gotten the memo, he saw the pretty lady with the lovely wings walking mostly by herself. The foliage hid the pae following her so he believed she was alone. Cackling a little with glee, he sprung out in front of the Goddess with the stick in hand. Waving it in front her as a means to stop his captive. How pleased the harpyking would be with such a pretty lady!
Only, the lady didn't stop. She cast her eyes on him and then kept going. Chittering in confusion, the once overly proud of himself tikicat deflated. He didn't understand. Sure he was going to capture her, but why did she just walk by?
Now he saw the red hair pae following behind the deity. With a look on confusion behind his impassive mask, the tikicat made a noise at the fae that just pitiful. There was no way he could bring back a sad lady. Only one thing to do, the Tikicat raced towards the deity again. Instead of running like a normal creature he had this way of moving that looked more like he was leaping forward each step instead of just walking. Bounding until he caught up, he waved his capture stick again but to no affect. With that plan in failure, he just sort of started following her. He did look back at the red fae again with a confused sound.Harmonia had ignored the cat thing even when it fell behind then caught up. At current, she had no idea Tristen was following her. Rather she just wanted to be out of the jungle and away. There was very real temptation to transport herself back home and stay there.
With her head down and wings lowered, the Deity had just kept walking. It was a surprise then, when a cherub approached her and didn't leave right away after it was dismissed. In its hand was a note? The only one she knew of that used cherubs was Venus. Yet her mother hadn't even noticed she was there, had she? Harmonia took the note and thanked the cherub in a tone so low even it had to struggle to hear.
With the job done the winged pink messenger left the deity.

Anteros walked around the chair and laid his hands on Yukiko's shoulders. He gently began to massage them as a way to release nervous energy as well as hopefully help calm her nerves. He could feel his jaw beginning to stiffen as he let his thoughts wander. He wasn't much for conversation then, trying to prepare himself for what was to come.
He flinched slightly as the door opened and his mother entered. His stomach clenched tightly and he took in a deep breath, reminding himself to keep it steady unless he'd let himself faint from lack of oxygen. He squeezed Yukiko's shoulders reassuring as he stepped around the chair to meet his mother. The time had finally come.
“I understand.” he said, with a slight catch in his throat. It hurt to hear the words from his own mother, but he had already decided it. “I've been aware of them and haven't stopped thinking about them since making this decision, but I've found where my soul finally feels accepted and at its fullest. When she's away she's all I think about and I feel at a loss. When I am with her I know that this is who I am and want to be, despite of title or status.” He looked away for a second, unable to read how this was affecting Venus, “I'm sorry, Mother.” he murmured. He did love her, and prayed she didn't take this as a slap to the face. At some point they had to grow up, right? Even so, he didn't want her to despise him for giving up the status she had given him.
It was difficult for Anteros to keep the scowl from his face, “I don't love like that, Mother. It may be well and all for you all, but I am not interested in meaningless flings. There is so much emotion and security found in someone who keeps themselves just for you. I'm more interested in the feeling of fullness by someone's constant love than consistently emptied by the passing of lovers. Yukiko is that fulfillment for me.”
Anteros' eyes widened. For a second he was unable to reply to his mother. His knees felt weak for a second as he processed what she had just said. Had she finally admitted to him doing something better than Eros? To actually pleasing her more than Eros? His heart warmed and he felt hope for a second. Perhaps this was a good sign for Yukiko and himself. He couldn't expect much else than parting on good terms... that's all he wanted. He didn't need his godhood! He just needed to know his mother would be ok...
Her words light a fire in his chest with how he regarded Yukiko, but he kept his mouth shut. There was no malice, and that was the least he could ask for. He understood, in her eyes she probably saw Yukiko as his undoing. There would be no way to convince her otherwise, but with her go ahead he felt the joy resurface within him. A huge grin spread across his face, and he quickly closed the distance between Venus and himself, “Thank you. Thank you so much, Mother.” he said, taking up her hands in his. “Thank you for trusting me even if it may not make sense to you. I promise I have been weighing the consequences and don't take this lightly.”
He leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek before releasing her and turning around to Yukiko, “Tonight!” he cried, scooping her up into his arms and spinning her around. “We're going to be married tonight, Yukiko!” He laughed as they spun, tears pouring down his face as the dam of emotions finally broke. He was still trembling, but at least now they'd gotten over the hard part.
There was still so many uncertainties for them, but they had plenty of time to figure those out on the ship ride back. For now they had a wedding to plan!

Caine's claw closed over her ropes just as Venus disappeared to speak with the blue feathered dude. It proved to be next to useless though, as one of their captors came about and untied them all not too long after. He squeaked, glad to be rid of those ropes. It was really starting to hurt his wrists under all the floof.
"I'm sorry I didn't free you sooner" He apologized, feeling bad about it. Apparently they weren't in any danger at all, but it wasn't like he could have known that. In an instant he was back to smiling. He could see in the dark, and he'd gotten to see this gorgeous woman again. He couldn't believe his luck! "Maybe we can go back together?" He squeaked, wondering if she still found him worth her time. Knowing himself, she probably didn't, but it was worth a shot.
His attention was suddenly drawn to his uncle's date. It wasn't a noise or a movement that caught his attention, it was a repressed sob. Something inherently wrong with something. He couldn't place a claw on it, but he did know something was up. Caine shook himself of the thought, being pulled down by one of the cat pae things to untie his wrists. "You are super super cute!" Caine squealed, unable to contain it. Oh Guardians it was adorable! He looked around, hoping no one was going to see him scoop the thing up. Nope, no one noticed Caine. He grinned, scooping up the orange and brown cat thing. "You're so coming home with me." To his shock, it didn't squirm or try and get away. It just kind of snuggled into his arms and stayed there. Like it thought it was safe or something. Caine blinked, once, twice, and shrugged. He had a new friend! A really cute snuggly friend at that~
Caine grinned, humming to himself, and the little tikicat thing in his arms, Caine followed a cherub out of the jungle and towards the resort. It was time to go back to having tons of fun!

[Location: Resort]Sommer was more then happy to get out of the situation she and Neli had been in the ropes were less then comfortable. She stared at the blue sparking bird and the antics of those bird pae and shook her head. Her eyes landed on a tikicat of muleple colors and s grouchy mask, their demeanor seemed to just all change after Venus showed up. This one seemed to be just staring up at her and a smile crossed her lips, when they weren't threatening her they were quite adorable. When they were escorted back to the resort Sommer took a couple sidewaysglances before scooping up the little masked creature and skipping along behind. "I's wanna have cakes n sweets, n samiches, n drinks, n icecream..." she told her new friend as they made their way into one of hte resort rooms with it's plush furniture which was of stark contrast to what her and Neli had just experienced and she flopped onto one of the big cushions in the room.
