Keri chuckled at this. "And some people just aren't gutsy enough." There it was again. That floating feeling that Keri only got when she was around Marshall. It felt as though her stomach was in her throat and she was standing on a cloud, even though Keri had a firm grip on the rocky cliff she sat upon.

A few hours later the ship had docked at the Canacalve City port. Jacie stepped out off of the ship and stole a glance back at it. She hadn't waited for Marcus, for she feared that he would still be angry with her. Jacie pulled her bag higher up on her shoulder and looked at the saddened Espeon. "I know I shouldn't leave things like this... But it'll make things easier. You know I've never handled good-byes well." she said as she stroked the light purple pokemon.
"Indeed it does." Keri said simply, smiling up at him.

He was wearing a red hat and jacket with a white shirt and pants with flame designs as he put on his hat and he went off. He walked among the passengers unnoticed and walked past Jacie with exchanging a single glance at one another. Marshall looked at her and smiled "Such a good day right/" he said and smiled

Jacie noticed a familiar figure floating through the crowd and looked toward one of the buildings which just happened to be the gym, avoiding all eye contact with Marcus.
Keri simply nodded with a smile that stretched across her lips. "Absolutely amazing."

Jacie watched as Marcus walked into the gym and instantly turned away. Noticing a sign on the building behind it, Jacie walked towards the three-story building that proclaimed to be a library and vanished inside.
Keri felt an arm around her shoulders and blushed slightly. She gently leaned over towards him and rested her head on his shoulder, taking in his scent.

Keri closed her eyes and fell asleep right there on his shoulder, completely at ease. Something she wasn't used to feeling.

About ten minutes later, Keri started to mumble in her sleep. Most of it was just a bunch of chit-chat but then she started to get quiet again. A few minutes of silence passed and Keri started to mumble again. This time it was clear and understandable. "I... Love you... Marshall."

After about an hour of sleeping on top of a book of creation myths that Jacie had found, she decided that maybe it was time to leave. She closed the giant dusty book and lugged it back over to its' shelf and said goodbye to the librarian as she made her way back outside.
Keri, thinking this was all apart of her dream, smiled and buried her face into Marshall's shoulder in both the dream and reality. But in the dream, Keri felt chills run up her spine as the girl that Marshall had brought in stood behind them, cussing Keri out.
Keri woke with a start, frightened and confused by the dream. She instantly jerked forward out of Marshall's grasp and almost toppled over the edge of the cliff.
