Scarlet slept in for several hours and woke up with a hang over. She laid in bed and sighed.

Verde was given a bucket filled with soapy water. He was told to wash the floors of the entrance hall and the ballroom. Looking at the size of his objective, he felt overwhelmed, but started to work anyways.

Scarlet got up and went downstairs to get some asprin.

After ten minutes of working, Verde had only cleaned a tiny part of the entirety of the entry hall. It would take hours to get both rooms' floors cleaned.

Scarlet walked into the kitchen and got some asprin. She took the pill and washed it down with some water.

An overseer came into the room and looked at what little progress Verde had made. "You lazy b*****d." the man said, kicking Verde in the gut. "You should be at least halfway done with the room by now!" he shouted.
Gasping from pain, Verde gave a fearful look at the overseer and quickly went back to work, working frantically.

Scarlet heard yelling. she winced and walked into the room. What is going on? I've gort a splitting headache." she said irrartatedly.

"This bum isn't work as hard as he should. I kicked some sense into him, though. There shouldn't be any further interruptions." said the overseer.
Staring down at the ground, Verde scowled in anger. He would exact his revenge some day.

Scarlet wasn't really paying attention. "Okay whatever just keep it down." She said and went to the living room and laid on the couch.

"You heard her, get back to work. And don't let me catch you loafing again!" said the overseer, storming off to check on other slaves.
Verde's brow was furrowed as he worked at a rapid pace, he was still able to make the floor clean.

By two, the floor of the main hall was clean. Looking at his work for a moment, Verde then moved onto the ball room.

At last, Verde finished the ball room floor as well. Looking out the window, he saw that the sun had already set. Grunting, he walked his sore body over to the kitchen, carrying the bucket and rag. He drained the bucket outside and put away the supplies. Yawning, he was told to go to his room to rest for the night. He started to climb up the stairs.

Scarlet woke and got up. She got up and walked to Verde's room. she looked at him for a moment before she went to go get changed into a nice dress.
