*Unknown to Austin, the Balfor's shadow has lost a small amount of it's substance, which has flitted over to him and merged with his shadow*
(To himself) Now why would Shadow-beings be willing to help someone, especially the priests...unless they're like me, and want no beings of other energyies in their realms, whether in their power or not.
*As Austin heads out, Kero, joined with his shadow, follows him to the temple*

the temple you are led to is really run down... in fact it is a ruin... missing more roof than there is remaining... but there is a statue of some god or another in the main area and incense burning in a bowl before it.... before you can grab hold of him the tiefling makes a mad dash out of the area... you are left alone, standing before the statue of a male in long robes... he is holding a ring of keys in one hand and a scroll in the other...

Lyssan the temple you are led to is really run down... in fact it is a ruin... missing more roof than there is remaining... but there is a statue of some god or another in the main area and incense burning in a bowl before it.... before you can grab hold of him the tiefling makes a mad dash out of the area... you are left alone, standing before the statue of a male in long robes... he is holding a ring of keys in one hand and a scroll in the other... the statue remains silent, however an elderly horned entity clears his throat behind you.... he is so old he is bent with age and needs to walk with a cane... he is obviously blind as his eyes are milky white and although you know he can't see you, he is looking right at you.... his robes are clean but thread bare and many patched...
can i help you, young man... he asks in a cultured refined voice that bespeaks of many long hours of giving sermons to his congregation...

Austin (stares at the old mans eyes his grip on the gun shakes loosens and drops the gun. he thinks of his own eye he lost to his father.) Sir... how did you lose your eyes?( he places him on the ground gently) I lost mine to a bullet from my father...he was never fond of me. cry

*Kero detaches himself from Austin's shadow, rising behind him in his full role as the Voidmaster, Austin feels a chill on his back as Kero's empty power begins doing it's job, sapping the magical energy of the shard to sustain itself. Kero looks the old demon in the eyes*
I don't know who you are, but you know who I am. Where is the Kitsune queen? Is she confined inside this statue? How can we get her out? Answer me or I'll bring down this whole city.

he sighs and shakes his head, his smile fading as he does so...
so you are seeking the kitsune queen are you... i was wondering what all the commotion at the portals was about... Our Lady of Pain is not going to like this... she likes it not when another imprisions one of her friends.... may i see this statue of which you speak..
