You seem like such a sweetheart, & I love that you're really into "charity work" & seem to be continuing with it despite the obvious conflict of interest that donating & questing at the same time causes. Few people on Gaia, or whatever odd reason, put other people above themselves as far as virtual gold is considered... I'm obviously one of those few people, & I can certainly tell that you're another :3
I checked out your quest/charity thread in your Signature, & it kind of disappoints me that it doesn't seem to be getting much attention. So, if you'd be interested in affiliating with Burn &/or my other guild Choque, just PM me & I'd be happy to add you as an affiliate :3

As much as I do appreciate all your "thank yous" (& I seriously do appreciate that, considering how many people come into this thread & act like such self-entitled assholes while they're simultaneously asking me for a favour)... However, as I think I stated in the first page of this post, if somebody is going to ask for an actual item instead of a donation to help them towards it, then chances are they're going to get neither. I'm not a gold machine; I'm able to give out so much gold because I'm constantly putting my time & effort into earning more gold, & I spend every penny I make & more on donating to others. Realistically speaking, I can't donate all three of those items to you, & I can't donate "just one". I don't give out donations "as low as 40k items" to all 190 people who have posted in this thread; that would be ridiculous.

I hate how some people have absolutely no graditude left in their grinch-like hearts, three sizes too small, while yours, Elyzia, is too big to be seen as a whole on an x-ray machine (I know you can't see your heart on an x-ray machine, but y'all get my point)! I thought that being a self-absorbed, disrespectful JERK was only limited to California and the north, but it seems that I am wrong. Seriously, if I had gold to spare, I would deinitely set one of these doohickeys up, and if I got less thank-yous than the number of times I donated, I would be ******** pissed. So pissed that I would stop the whole thing altogether. Whoever didn't say thank you, y'all ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

Anyway, I have a quest going on right now. It is called "Ask the 8-ball [A quest thinger]. It's basically for a dream avatar that is like, SUPER EXPENSIVE. I have almost 200K and the enchanted strings right now, and the avatar costs about 23 million gold. I know, it's hideously expensive, but I love setting up long-term goals. I just set it up today, and oddly enough, I found this place. I was all excited because perhaps this will set me off on my goal. I'm so excited! whee I plan on buying the Yakisoba Dare first, and then starting on obtaining the Pale Marionette. I have everything else. If you could, help. By the way, I think you're a really cool person for setting up this, as well as the random number contest. I know that it takes a s**t-LOAD of gold to run those types of things, and it's really nice to see people as generous as you. It's rare.
FINALLY... someone who sees things the way I'm constantly shocked that everybody doesn't see them. Thank you for taking the time & common sensibility to realize that being able to give away so much gold like this is work for me, & that I'm not some sort of giant gold-giving machine or something nor should I be treated as such heart
&, you know, you may actually be on to something with your comment about how you thought being a jerk was limited to California & the North... I mean, it's AMAZING how many people on Gaia come from California. It seems like that for every person living in any state besides California, there are two or three people who are from California. & I don't like stereotypes, but California's a huge exception to that. Everybody who's ever lived there who I respect have always said the same negative things about it; my father (the wisest person I've known) & my ex-fiancee (the smartest person I've known) both independently called it the "a*****e Capital of The World" xP I didn't even know people from the North were supposed to jerks though actually; I'd say some states yes, some states no, & then there's New York, where being a jerk is what's culturally acceptable, & people tend to change when they move out of there (I'm actually from Manhattan, NY originally).
I've actually been seriously considering making some drastic changes in the way I go about donating to people, especially in this thread. Unless I don't see a drastic change soon, most people who ask for donations here (that is, people who type one sentence with no "please" or "thank you") will get a donation of like, 300g, as opposed to the lowered donation of 2k-3.5k that they've been getting for a while. People who type one or two sentences with something like "thx" thrown in at the end will get around 750g-900g. That way, the people who are actually appreciative could get like double if not triple as much gold in donations as they've been getting currently.
If I don't do that, then I think I'll just set some basic rules for this thread (mostly etiquette rules), & whoever ignores those rules in their reply will get absolutely nothing except for a rude reply from me if they're a real a*****e. Because, I mean, I'd much rather just have all the gold I donate go to "the right people" in much higher amounts than currently, as opposed to my gold going to everyone who posts in a thread, even if their post makes me think "what a ******** spoiled brat". I started doing things the way I currently am yearsss ago, when I sent an average donation of 700 or 800g to everyone who asked, & pretty much always was thanked. However, things change obviously, & doing things the way I did in 2006 & 2007 doesn't seem like the right way to do them in 2011.
Sorry for the super lengthy response... Honestly, lots of this was just to help me think things through in a processed, logic way that I could look at again if I forgot (& I forget everything) xP For what it's worth, though, in my eyes you've definitely earned the largest donation I've given to somebody who's not a "Gaia friend" in quite some time blaugh
I meant to type New York, so sorry! I moved to New York about 4 years ago, and quite honestly, I was dumbfounded by a lot, and I mean A LOT of peoples' attitudes and rudeness, compared to the beautiful southern hospitality I was raised on for a little over 11 years of my life in Northern Florida (My favorite part. :3)., where they are sure to treat EVERYONE with respect. The worst disrespect I ever saw was the playful kind, where, no one of the other party took offense to it. In New York, NO ONE respects anyone. It's rare people like the sparse friends I have, and you, that I see who are from New York, that actually are respectful. It's hideously ridiculous. Up here, you're lucky to get a please! It's terrible! California's the same way! At times, well, most of the time, it makes me want to say 'screw it' and live as a hermit somewhere away from society or something drastic like that. It's a really wonderful and amazing thing to see people as generous as you, and it makes me really happy....until I read all of the sparse and quite honestly, half-assed 'thank you's" that you recieve! It's utterly horrible that it seems that they expect you to be the money machine and please them with gold whenever they want something. Utterly horrible. I honestly think that you should enforce the etiquette rules(Though people should know them already! D: ). I want to thank you for donating to me. I really, really, REALLY appreciate it. It's really awesome that you donated to me. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask, dear. ^w^ Don't worry about the lengthy response. It's nice to see that people other than my family that share the same opinion. smile

No, I can't. As you should be able to see, I have TONS more people to donate to than just you, & none of them are getting any amount of gold anywhere CLOSE to how much any gen. of Alruna's Rose would cost.
Why don't you get it yourself instead of asking other people to do it for you? I'm not made of gold. I spent the time earning how the best way to earn gold is, & am constantly vending & exchanging & WORKING for the gold I make, which I use ALL OF to donate to others.
The more considerate you are when asking for donations, the farther you actually get.

Thank you for your donation, I had tried to quest for a kitsune mask in the past but I gave up on it. On account i spent like a week just bumping by myself.Mind you this was a couple of years ago. I saw your thread and said y not. It actually paid up cuz now I know that there are people who actually donate, So i am going to try and make it this time. But by any chance I decide to give up i will return your donation. Well that is all I really have to say and Thank you, I really do appreciate it.
