When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me!

I still log on every day, if only for a few minutes. You get free stuff now for doing that. razz

It must be nice living alone after having roommates. I certainly enjoyed moving back home after university. Roommates are not for me. User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

I'm administrative support, so I fill in for the various assistants when they're sick, on holiday, etc. I mostly do basic office tasks, man the front desk, and assist various managers. It's more of a municipal government. I don't know what the American equivalent would be. Counties maybe? Basically whatever the one below the state level would be.

'Cause I ain't waiting up for no miracle! Yeah, tonight I'm running free!

Are you hoping for a miracle?
As the ice caps melt away.

Yeah I noticed that they changed that. I never really got the point of the daily thing...but that's a change that i wont have to get used to since I don't really come on here anymore XD
It is so much nicer to have only me and my cats. Although I am kind of looking into buying a house in the next year. Nothing to big, but I figured I would get a roommate, but it would be someone like my brother and his girlfriend or someone I know very well.
Oh that doesn't sound to fun. I'm not really a desk kinda person. Counties is what is below states over here.

No use hoping for a miracle.

Yeah, I noticed you don't come on Gaia very often. razz I'm just enjoying not having to buy new items because I'm getting a bunch of them just for logging on.

That'd probably be a good decision. A roommate can define how good a living experience you have, so it's wise to ensure it's someone you know and trust. I saw the difference while I was attending university.

It seems to suit me. I prefer jobs that require more thinking than manual labour. Makes me feel like my talents are not being wasted. 3nodding

So I got fired from my full time job yesterday that I have worked at for 6 years. :/
Sorry that I neglect coming on, I usually just have so much in life that I'm trying to do. I gatta spend some time this week trying to find a new job now...which is always tiring.
I usually prefer manual labor...I have a hard time sitting still.

No use hoping for a miracle.

Why'd they fire you? surprised

It's okay. I totally understand how busy real life can be. I've been working full-time for the past month and it feels like I barely have free time during the week. sweatdrop

I often take any opportunity I get to move around the office. If someone needs something delivered to someone else in the office or they need something, I'll do it just so I can get up and do something. It breaks the monotony from time to time. 3nodding

UGHHHH I totally hate the weather we are having right now. Were getting snow where I live, its sapose to be spring...not third winter....
I got fired because one of the managers didn't like me and watch me like a hawk waiting for me to mess up so she could complain about me. She was sooooo petty about how she went about everything. This lady is in her late 30's and acts like a freaking child. More than half the store was pissed that she fired me, and everyone knows that shes the reason that I'm gone so apparently now no one really likes her or anything. I honestly don't miss the job, but I miss the people greatly as I worked with some of those people for almost 6 years.
Working a lot kinda sucks, but you gatta be an adult sometimes and I'm sure the paychecks are nice.
So on top of messing up my life by getting fired from the best paying job I have ever had, I messed up the best relationship I have ever had. My life just sucks so bad right now.

No use hoping for a miracle.

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me!

It's mostly just rainy around here. Usually the only time it snows around here in April is on April's Fools Day. I always say it's Mother Nature's version of a practical joke. razz

It is nice to find somewhere to work where you like your coworkers. So what excuse did she end up using to fire you for? Must have been something extremely petty if she got half the store pissed at her for doing it. Some people just can't function with any decency. rolleyes

Government jobs do tend to pay nicely. Beats working for minimum wage. mrgreen

Life sure seems to enjoy knocking you around. I guess all you can do is get back up, dust yourself off, and keep fighting until things get better. 3nodding

Also, it's good to hear from you again. I know I usually have to wait a month or two for a reply, but I'm happy that you always keep coming back to talk to me. biggrin

We have at least 2 inches outside. I know in the northern part of the state, they are getting at least a foot of snow. I just hear the angry cries of the few birds that are outside complaining about the snow.
Long story short, like 5 months ago she complained about me and got me put on my final because of a huge misunderstanding. This time, she said that I took a half hour break right after my lunch, but I was doing manager paper work during that time but I had no way to prove that I was doing that instead of taking a break so it was basically her word with someone else(she sent said person to see what I was doing and only saw that I was sitting down, didn't actually look to see what I was doing), versus mine.
I have come to terms that my life is just ganna suck as long as I live.
I'll always come back to talk to you. Your the only one that I talk to on here anymore.

I'm glad I don't live farther east then. I'd hate having snow right now. emotion_donotwant

That does sound pretty petty. The paperwork you had filled out wasn't proof enough? rolleyes

Woah, a same-day reply. I am honoured. Most of the people I talk to have moved on or I chat with through some other venue like Facebook, Steam, Discord, etc.

I hate snow with a passion...yet I still live here.
Nope, because I could have filled that out any day since I had it for like a month.
Yeah I was still online and figured I would check to see if you had replied yet or not. You didn't have to wait months XD

Hard to avoid snow without moving to somewhere like California or Florida. Too hot there. razz

Seems like a pretty flimsy excuse to fire you still. rolleyes

Well the benefit of a long wait is having more to say when you do return. It's easy to run out of conversation topic. mrgreen

Yes, but I want to move to one of the middle states one day. I can handle a little snow and not as hot outside as like Florida or somewhere like that.
It was but I'm kinda over it. What makes me mad is my best friend works there still and the GM knows him and I are friends and he has the nerve to bad mouth me to my friend sometimes. I mean, how rude....
True! I kinda easily run out of things to say all the time.

The middle states sound like they'd be boring. You never really hear much about them. Maybe that means they're quieter and less crazy stuff happens. wink

That sounds more like a personal grudge than a professional disagreement. Definitely doesn't make them seem like they fired you for a legitimate reason if they're spending their time badmouthing you specifically to your friend.

There is always world events, although most of them are unsettling or downright depressing. rolleyes

Maybe, but honestly I'm fine with that. I have so much going on in my day to day life, that I don't have time for anything else that goes on around me. The other week, there was a huge shooting in the town over, and I didn't even hear about it for a couple days! Like I just don't have time to focus on that kinda stuff.
Yeah, just a little true. My friend was telling me how they are struggling to hire good people and another manager just put in her two weeks, and they have no one in the store that they can promote for the position or anything, and I just kinda have to laugh at them as they would be fine off as a whole if they hadn't fired me. They struggle in the departments that I'm good at and those departments take a lot of work and no one wants to work that hard. But on the other side of things, my full time job is literally driving me crazy with how stupid the employees are there or how lazy most of them are. I know everyone can have lazy days, but for basically everyone but me, it's an everyday kinda thing.
Why are they depressing?
On other news, guess who got a boyfriend? xD

No use hoping for a miracle.

Well who wants to think about shootings. Depressing thing to think about. mrgreen

Ugh, have you fallen into that position where you end up doing all the extra work because everyone is too lazy to put in their full effort? Coworkers can really make or break a job. rolleyes

Turn on the news and you'd see what a crap state this world is in.

Hopefully you can fit that boyfriend in between your jobs. wink

I see elyzia came back. Wonder what that means for BURN. The guild has kind of been dead for some time. eek
