Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. AAHHHH, sorry I have been MIA. I have/had a lot of family things that just sort of all been happening at once. Plus I have been planning my vacation that I so am in dire need of. I'm going to Manitoba for a week! I'm sure pumped!!! Actually I have cut down in the last month of all the working I have been doing. It is the slow time at all my jobs, so I try to give the other workers at my 2 part time jobs who really need the hours some of the hours I would be getting if I was working more. I get paid only decently at one of my jobs. The other 2 is kinda crappy pay but they each have there own benefits. How has life been for you?
No use hoping for a miracle. Theres a price we'll have to pay.

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me! I was wondering where you went. Glad to see you back. biggrin
What does one do in Manitoba? I've always viewed the prairie provinces as rather boring. mrgreen
Well that's nice of you to do that. Most people would think just about their own paycheck. Of course most people don't have three jobs. razz
Not much. I'm getting close to finishing up school... again. Still have no idea what I'm going to do with my life, but I'll come up with something eventually. I'm considering getting back into writing, although I know that will be difficult since there's no reward until the very end, if I can get published at all.
'Cause I ain't waiting up for no miracle! Yeah, tonight I'm running free!

Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. Thank you. Glad to see your still here XD I'm not sure. I have a really good friend whom I'm never met that lives there. It's his 30th birthday and to surprise him, his fiance and myself planned some things. And I'm going up there to surprise him as part of it. Well I kinda do think about mine, but than I just think about how much I'm going to work come summer, so it's ok for now. That is true. And you have to become very popular and meet strict deadlines to even make a good living off of it. That would be like a good side job to have.
No use hoping for a miracle. Theres a price we'll have to pay.

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me! Well I have a friend or two who I communicate through this site, so I just log in every day to send my messages and move on with my day. 3nodding
Ah, well if it's for a surprise birthday party, that makes sense. Meeting someone for the first time you've only known online is such an awkward experience. razz
How do you find the time for other activities with three jobs anyway?
It requires a lot of self-discipline. The onus falls entirely on you, so if you don't meet those deadlines and don't produce something good enough, you don't do well. Not sure if I'm up for that, although the idea of deciding my own working hours does appeal to me. confused

Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. I'm sort of one of those people... XD Well it's not the first time I have met someone in person that I only knew from the internet and honestly it was just like an old friend I hadn't seen in a long time. I thought it would be really awkward but it wasn't. It's REALLY hard. I basically don't do anything besides work and sleep sometimes. You have to really think if you do have the self-discipline and if you could pull it off. As for me, I could NEVER do something like or work from home or anything.
No use hoping for a miracle. Theres a price we'll have to pay.

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me! I feel like if I actually engaged in a full-blown conversation that was more than one message sent a day, I'd run out of things to say. razz
For me there was some initial awkwardness, simply because I'm an awkward person, but you're right that eventually you just get comfortable and it's like you're an old friend. 3nodding
I'd go insane if all I did was work and sleep. I'm also really bad at managing my free time, so I need lots of it or it goes to waste. mrgreen
I've been really thinking about it lately. I've had so much trouble trying to think of what type of job I'd want. I do enjoy writing, although I don't know if I could keep it up for years, especially when there is no guarantee of being published. Lately I've been training for an office job, which would be a more secure source of income, but I feel like I'd hate my life doing some boring office job. Where are all those nice cushy jobs with large paychecks? xp

Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. Me too. I'm not a person that talks a lot, so I always have problems doing anything that involves talking. Well I don't only just work and sleep anymore. I have a boyfriend who thinks I work to much, so I try not to work as much on the weekend. He has the weekends off, and that way we can hang out. I also waste like all my free time. I need one of those large paycheck jobs. Maybe I wouldn't work so much than.
No use hoping for a miracle. Theres a price we'll have to pay.

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me! Okay, this is weird. Gaia is showing all posts with the HTML tags visible. Am I the only one seeing this?
Yeah, it's too much working talking a lot. Much easier to keep it simple with a few replies.
Well you do have to make time for the ones you care about. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with bad time management skills when it comes to free time. razz

Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. I haven't noticed them, so maybe it's just you XD Now that I think about it, it's probably why I don't text with a lot of people all the time. They probably get mad at my short responses. Yeah, its's one thing I have always wanted to work on, but never really gave it a chance. Oh well. Since your into writing, does my bad grammer bother you?

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me! It only did it for that one day, but now it's doing weird shading for quoted posts and the emojis don't show up properly for the topic review. Gaia doesn't like my computer at times. rolleyes
Lol, my one friend keeps getting mad at me because I only text him back twice a day. I just have a habit of responding to texts right after I get up and right before going to bed. Responding during the day would just distract me and I'd run out of things to say. Definitely can see how some people might find it annoying though. razz
I only really get bothered by really really bad grammar and spelling. U no, wen peple tock lyke tis, lolzorz.

Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. Gaia doesn't like my computer a lot of the times. XD I text all day...I'm kinda bad because I'll do it at work too when I'm kinda not sapose to. Oh well... Hahaha, that actually bothers me too. Even when people are texting like that, it bothers me.

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me! I find that if I try to open multiple tabs of Gaia, it makes my computer go berserk. Not sure what is going on there. rolleyes
I suppose it depends on the workplace. I've had jobs where they didn't want you to even bring a phone with you to work and another where I could text all day and my boss wouldn't care.
I always text in full sentences with correct grammar. It takes longer, but I can't bring myself to use text speak. It makes using Twitter a bit difficult because that 140 character limit always gets in my way. xp

Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. I may have forgotten about gaia for awhile. Been super busy with life and everything. UPDATES: I moved like 2 months ago. Been dating the same a*****e boyfriend for almost a year now, and I question why I'm with him everyday. I still work a lot, but I'm starting to try to make sure I have every Saturday off from all work so I can just relax and everything.

When I got my back up against the wall! Don't need no one to rescue me! You've returned! I was starting to worry you had left for good, but I'm glad that's not the case. Guess it pays off to check Gaia every day still. mrgreen
So you got away from that psycho roommate then? razz
I'm working too now. Managed to get a casual position at the local government's office. The hours have actually been quite good since a lot of people are going on vacation or had a leave of absence, so I'm getting lots of training to say the least. It's finally nice to not be doing manual labour or some boring minimum wage job. biggrin

Are you hoping for a miracle? As the ice caps melt away. Yes, I still pop on here from time to time..... not that there is much of this site that I remember anymore XD Yes, I finally got away from her, and now live by myself. Well I have 3 adorable cats that live with me, but they don't count! Once in awhile people from work still bring her up, and I just avoid remembering her as much as possible. Yay! A job, it's like your a real grown adult now! razz So what do you exactly do there? Also is a a government office like a police station or something, because we really don't have those around here. We have one per state so I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing.
No use hoping for a miracle. Theres a price we'll have to pay.
