Ai ticks off what he considers Salunia's finer points. "She's determined and inquisitive, of course that would make for a few touch and go situations, especially if she decided she wanted something and you said no. She doesn't let anything get in her way. Hmm, I remember a certain young cub showing up at my campsite and triggering all sorts of trouble without doing a single thing. She's caring, loving, and has a great disposition. Ye know, ye two have done a wonderful job of raising her, but a lot of that comes from within. Fortunately you never squashed her enthusiasm."

Ai grins at him. "For years I could never get ye to sleep in a bed. Ye always slept on the floor. So to me ye'll always be my troublesome rug. I've tripped over ye enough." But he is teasing and it is quite obvious from the tone of his voice. Another sign that he is healing, for his gentle teases had for some now seemed to be a thing of the past.

"M'lady?" says Ai with a question in his voice. "You wanted him to sleep on the floor? Whatever for?" he remarks lightly, shaking his head in amusement. He remembers quite clearly how jealous she once was and prays she's gotten over it.

Ai sighs softly, his face quiet and unreadable. "She took it rather badly then... but as it was her own pwer that laid her low, she should recover in time. I feel rather bad... no, I don't. I am sorry it hit her so hard, but her phobia about caring was a weakness, one she could not afford to embrace. Someine had to put her back on track... better me than any of you. Iffin she hates me for forcing her hand, fine. I play but a supporting role in the scheme of things."
