 Lvl: ??? Neutral "Test" that adventurer must face at certain points, multiple times, on the journey until the adventurer finally beats them. Level is based on adventurers level at the time of meeting, though always higher. Beating this test of strength, strategy and honor gives ultimate weapon.

When the hero is young it must decide on defeating the blackguard in order to save a small town or join him in destroying the town.This choice affects the game progression as to which towns are available, and several other things in the game.

Uses own blood and that of the enemies to power up his sword techs. Joins party right after defeating the 2nd boss that was threatening his home town. Provides hero with the ability to steal life force from enemies
