Mmm... Brigade is the worse in my opinion. After all, he is made out of the bodies and minds of 100 men. >.>

I wouldnt say that they are 'villains'... but more along the lines of 'anti-heros'.
The entire team is made up of genetic experiments by this guy... who really is an alien. And while they do fight/destroy many of our worlds hero.... the point is that its is training for them so that they can then go to the guys home planet and save it from its enslavement.

Mmmm... yes and no again. xD
Each one of them has some dislike for the human race... as they were all abandoned and forgotten about.
So its more like.... they were getting the time to get use to their new super powers while enacting their revenge and getting justice for the misfortunes that were done to them.

Some where, others were created.
For example, Brigade was actually a platoon of soldiers send to carry out a secret mission. However, during the mission... a biochemical bomb went off and killed them.
The alien scientist guy go ahold of the contaminated body parts, and patched them together, with his alien technology, and thus Brigade was born.
On the other hand, Wink was the daughter of a magician.... who was in debt. One night, the debters came to collect. Her mother disappeared using her magic, her father was killed, and the Wink was mutilated/disfigured. She then too disappeared using the same magic that her mother did.
After a while, the scientist guy found her, and talked her into working for him. He would gain an ally, and she would gain the use of his alien technology.... which would literally let her control every molecule of her being when she teleported, which she uses in both battle, and to look for her mother.
