... and gets an eye full... literally, as a soft puff of sweet scented powder flies into his face, knocking him out cold and that is where he is still when Talesian returns, sound asleep in front of the bookcase, with the forbidden book still clutched in his hands. Tam smiles knowingly, removes the book and hides it in plain sight, with a different colored binding that reads something to the extent of "A Discourse on Interpersonal Relationships". Then he gently wakes the cub up.

"Kero, taro, ye've been working too hard. Look at ye falling asleep on yer feet while ye dust the bookcase. I think maybe ye should go out and play for a bit, ok? Ye need a break."

Tan grins wickedly... "Like I said, yer working too hard. Go out and play. Oh, and Kero, ye really need to be careful around me books, ok? Some of them bite."

Whistling a merry tune, the bard goes to un pack his purchases and make some tea, leaving Kero to try and figure out what just happened.

Around lunchtime, Tam comes out to the fountain with a basket of goodies, two small meat pies and a bit of left over birthday cake, plus a steaming mug of therapeutic tea which smells rather nice and has been liberally sweetened.

He hands Kero the tea and waits until he drains it before handing him the basket. "Yer head feeling better?" he asks with feigned concern. "Ye looked like ye had one hell of a headache earlier."

Tan chuckles and and hands him the basket in exchange for the mug. "Well, I knew what ye were up to. I also knew that ye were probably miserable because of it. I really didn't think you'd go after it so fast. I was going to find a better place to put it, but well..." he flashes Kerobian a lame smile. "I expect ye to ask the next time ye want a book off me shelf. Some are down right dangerous, for one of yer age and abilities. Those ye can use I'll put on the bottom shelf. Fair enough?"

Tam rolls his eyes and laughs. "Don't try to charm a professional charmer, kid. It won't work. Though, ye've certainly got that look down pat." He looks about the square and sighs. "I'm off to the carpenters, to see about a bed and then i'm stopping at the bath house to see iffin they have a small body bath they may no longer be using since they began using the larger communal pools. I like a good long soak as much as the next man, but sometimes a quick private scrub, especially during the winter, fits the bill a whole lot better. I'll be back for dinner. Do ye think ye can handle it on yer own?"

Tam laughs merrily and gives the cub a hug. "Ye know, for an empath, ye are always missing me jokes. Surely they can't be all that bad." Then he puts him down and smiles at eh cub fondly. "See ye in a few hours, alright. Be good now." he warns as he turns and walks down the road towards the far end of town.

Tam reaches over and snatches the plastic halo from Kero's tail and uses it to ring the handle of a broom leaning up against the stairs to his room. "iffin yer an angel, I'm a little stinker.." growls Tam menacingly. Then he smiles and shakes his head. ""That soap trick at the baths has earned ye dish duty tonight, kiddo... don't push it."
