shia sighs... ok, rhea... help me here... i know that quentinos are magical constructs... i get that much from yer construction and mode of feeding and such... so how did ye come to have children... ma always told me that constructs can't breed... she looks up and smiles... sorry... that was kind os rude.. i really worded that bad... and ye don't have to answer iffin ye don't want to.... it's just i've been reading up on and studying nature all me life and i know i'm not old in yer scheme of things... but i have been doing it for a very long time.... and i've never seen or read anything about your race... in none of the books... not even me dad's...

Quetwinos are not constructs...but we are a created race...we are dragonslayers, bred from wyverns by the manticores to slay Lung...we are psychic creatures...and we feed by converting our food to psychic energy...we do eat...but we eat with an extra step...

shia shudders... and ma let ye into her palace... does she know what ye do... she is a lung dragon ye know... first and foremost... probably more that than fox... though at times i wonder which one does have the upper hand....

shia sighs with relief... well i know a little about breeding but i've never studied creating like... ma can shape life, is it something like that... she can make an ant into a formidable soldier... and once she gave life to one of champhy's stew pots, so that it would stir itself when some sort of bug ran through the palace making everyone ill... champhy came through it fine, but she had no help and tons of people to tend to... but ma's creations don't make more of themselves... they can't... oh what was the word she used... procreate... big word... but i think she meant they can't have babies.... so how did the manticores do this?

but wyverns are anything but psychic... so how did they breed that into ye... i mean... iffin they had started with dragons to begin with... some of them are extremely psychic... i could see how they reached their goal..then she sighs... they must have worked on this for generations...

They interbred us with Psychic creatures, then encoureaged the breeding of the children who attained pschic awareness...eventually speeding evolution to form us...

Nobody knows why the war between Manticore and Lung had gone on for generations...and there was hatred on both sides...it's over now, for the most part...though hatred still runs deep between the two races.

that's odd... says shia softly... i know ma has manticores in her guards... and a few of the kitsune can take on the manticore form... and none of them seem to care about ma being a dragon... she sighs and hsakes her head ruefully... but them ma has never quite fit within the norm of anything... she's a world to herself, she is... and proud of it...

she laughs and carries all four, one at a time to her room... then collapses next to them on her bed... this way she can keep tabs on them even while she rests...
