Belamos did not relax until Toso was completely finished speaking. He stayed poised for an attack, ready to rip the Silver-Haired man's head from his body should he chose that route. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed. When he submitted, Belamos straightened back up and rolled his shoulder, apparently back at ease "Good" He said, taking a deep inhale, he continued "You may believe in such things after we have survived. Until then, we do things my way." Belamos shifted his eyes to the window- looking out at the village. Could he do this? Could he make them ready in time. Uzu had failed because of a lack of preparation, true, but they had effortlessly been beaten. If Arashi was to survive...it would need to change, and quickly. "We need to connect with the survivors of the Uzu attack- someone needs to be sent to gather what forces they have left to be brought here" Unity was their only chance and hopefully there were enough survivors to turn the tide a bit "Any Shinobi we have need to report to me at the Academy. If we have anyone out on missions- call them in. If we have any contract assets- call them in. If we have any rogues who we let borrow a cup of sugar and now owe us a favor- call them in. I need the totality of our strength laid before me, Toso. I need to know what I have to work with. Oh, and the remaining Legendary Weapons- I'll be needing those as well. They need to be put into the hands of warriors who can use them immediately. I already have one in mind: a young Hoshigaki girl I met last week" At this, Belamos walked over to the couch and sat down, placing his daughters head in his lap and laying an arm across her stomach as she slept "And I need to train you and Shion myself. Kenshin is capable enough, but the two of you have potential as Jinchuriki that cannot be wasted in the coming fight. Neither of you have the battlefield experience needed, but with some training we can feign it"
"You're getting ahead of yourself Taiyo-kami. Breathe, bloop. I'll make certain things are in order but before hand you need to know my intentions, as does the Captain. Hopefully he won't be long. Bloop." Toso would point to the door with the butt end of his pen while he continued to stare down at the paper work. "In the mean-time. I'd think she'd be rightly pleased to meet you." Toso internalized a sigh, Belamos's first impression that the two of them would be at odds with one another would be no mistake. Belamos sighed, a look of absolute weariness betraying the tiredness he felt about the whole situation "I am acting with the haste due to someone who knows the situation, Toso" Rising from his seat, he settled Aurelia back into place and walked towards the door. He paused before he opened it, needing to get one last thing out "I don't doubt you are a good man. In fact, in a more peaceful world your kindness would bring the village great prosperity...but, if you listen to nothing else say, know this...good men don't survive wars" He clenched his fist now, a hint of flame dancing around his hand "...and those that do, are forever changed" He reached for the handle, opened the door and stepped outside.
Once in the hallway he took a deep breath to compose himself before heading down towards where he had told him the inquisitive visitor was. It didn't take long for him to find the duo- Toso talking to a blue-skinned girl 'Another Hoshigaki, eh' He thought to himself 'What are the odds?'. As he approached them his lips were drawn tight into an annoyed frown. He bypassed the Kage and directly addressed the visitor "What do you want, girl?" He asked bluntly.
The mother and daughter looked pleased with one another as Aurelia would feel light-headed again. Tsukina leaned forward to steady her. "Are you feeling well?" Aurelia shook her head, busy attempting to steady her balance. "I feel sleepy again." she complained and would close her eyes while leaning on her mother. Her head was coddled one last time before Tsukina would sigh. "It's time for you to wake up, little one. We'll talk again soon, I promise. But for now, your father and all of Arashigakure need you there." Aurelia looked fairly hesitant to relinquish seeing her mother again but would do so and would feel the darkness give way for light.
The Genin came to in the Arashigakure office, much different from where she had last remembered where she was. Her head was lifted from the couch, slowly raising her quivering body. Her body felt drained, only a limited amount of chakra to work with since having it drained from her. It must have been from that Rinnegan technique that she had learned there. Thinking back on her mother's words, real or not, Aurelia had learned her lesson. She looked to her father speaking with another person and would quietly stand up, wobbling a little from her upset balance but would have her feet meet common ground and then look to Toso. He was dressed pretty fancy, but where were the Twins?
"Father." She began, walking over to him and just standing beside him, looking at the girl he was talking to.

__ So, power was successfully transferred from Jay and Jeon to Tosokurui. Kenshin was summoned to the Spire after completing his missions to restrain the powerful convicts who escaped when the CORE Compound was destroyed. After saluting several officers, Kenshin climbed the steps of the Spire and entered through the office's front door. His pale eyes immediately recognized the newly minted Arashikage as well as his perpetually distracted co-advisor in Belamos. Kenshin bowed deeply before Toso in a ceremonial fashion. "Lord Arashikage." The police captain would accept Toso's authority without question. Kenshin believed him to be a fool in Kumogakure, but the man seemed to have evolved in his leadership abilities. Not that mattered, the law dictated that this man was the village's sworn leader and he would obey that without question and ensure that others would as well. When he stood up straight again he would look at Toso exclusively. "I'm at your disposal. What do you require of me?" He was unaware of current events regarding Kogarashi as he needed to focus on quelling village uprisings and capturing the escaped prisoners of the CORE disaster. Keeping order in the storm was Kenshin's duty and he would uphold it until dying breath. He assumed that Toso had orders for him in that regard.

There were two Toso's one in the waiting room outside the office with Belamos who was adressing his 'biggest fan' and the other in the office doing what was expected of him. Paperwork. Which was which could be determined with a simple look should Kenshin use his eyes "At ease, Officer Kosei. Do shut the door, it may be a bit warm with thanks to Taiyo-kami, so do be careful bloop. He'll be joining us shortly." Toso continued to look down at the papers before finally exhaling and leaning back in his chair as it creaked. "First and foremost I'd like to inform you Taiyo-kami has been given all rights to Arashigakure's military at least for the time being. If you dislike this decision he's made the statement you personally take it up with him. Albeit you and I both know that he isn't one for words if you do." Taking a stack of papers and tapping them together to make them tidy he'd place them in the out bin. "Secondly my apologies about miss Rosewater. It seemed all that's occurred after just returning to the force was a bit too much for her bloop, I cannot rightly blame her for wanting to return to her previous career. I'd heard you were rather close bloop."
Re-adjusting his glasses the air of the room shifted from friendly to serious. "Lastly come the end of the meeting, Taiyo-kami is insistent that an eventual 'rounding up' of our forces occurs I'd like to leave that task to you. All that aside. Do you have any questions for me Officer Kosei or should I say doubts? I will not hold it against you if you do." Through the window a Toso clone appeared. He'd give something, it appeared to be a tanto to the clone working the desk who'd acknowledge it with a nod before placing it in a drawer. The then Toso clone would then recall Belamos's words. There are many kinds of war, to assume toso was ignorant of that concept, trauma's that changed a person...would be short-sighted. He was right that when it came to battles of the national variety he was indeed lacking...but in wars of the heart, in wars of the mind, he had become a seasoned veteran, one just as tired at that.

__ On command, Kenshin stepped back and shut the office door. When he was informed by the new Arashikage that Belamos was granted full access to the village's military he immediately bristled. "You gave the advisor who constantly leaves the village for new horizons whenever he sees something shiny exclusive access to the military? Those troops are under your legal authority as the Arashikage exclusively. It's not even legally possible to transfer that kind of power to an advisor." He expressed the impossibility of such an idea in a very neutral and deadpan manner. He took several seconds before articulating responses to the man's other points. "Why are we rounding up troops? Is there a matter that I was not briefed on yet?" The police captain would then wait for that response anxiously. For the time being, he was not prepared to discuss his friend and comrade Selina receding from his life again. Kenshin was also quickly growing tired of Toso constantly referring to him as a sun god. That would only reaffirm the former Otokage's arrogance.

__Right as Nohea had finally come to an answer for Toso her eyes settled on her true prize. The very man she had come to seek out here, Belamos. But also something else? Or rather SOMEBODY else. A little girl who followed behind him. Rubbing her eyes she called out “Father.” Nohea’s face lost focus momentarily as her thoughts were forced back to her own upbringing. Of watching secretly from the shoreline at all the all the happy smiling faces pass her by, and all the while she was cast off not only from any blood she might have shared but also from complete strangers.
The anger by now was so strong that even as she came back around the side of her lips curled on one side to reveal her rows of fanged teeth. Debating whether or not she even still wanted this, Nohea forced the Sun god to wait even longer for his answer. "Well, I found a wanted poster of you and decided you must be dangerous. So you're going to be my teacher." Despite her aggressive declaration there was an uncharastic doubt in her voice.
"I know that, and additionally, you know that bloop, on paper. You're welcome to express your dissenting opinion to him personally but the alternative is physical conflict within the ranks." Toso closed his eyes momentarily before opening them again exhaling through his nostrils. Truth be told he 'needed' Belamos to act as a militant commander. The sudden absence of the twins causing a major hole when it came to the weight of battlefield presence. Belamos if anything as arrogant and hot headed as he seemed to be was undeniably still an individual whose strength was universally acknowledged among the people of the village and the shark girl outside of whom he was conversing with currently was evidence that it even extended beyond that. "However, if Taiyo-kami wants to act as the spearhead someone needs to keep that spear aimed at the threats not at their allies."
Then came a surprise, it seemed Kenshin had not, unlike himself, been briefed by the Twins before they're intended 'mission'. "Pull up a chair Officer Kosei bloop." Whether he'd stay stalwart in response in saying no thanks he'll remain standing Toso would continue to speak. "I'd assumed the twin-kage informed you. bloop. So I ask for your pardon. It has come to light that Uzugakure, what we had believed to be our enemy and who believed the same vise of versa were being manipulated by a rogue organization known as Kogarashi. The leader of which seems to be a woman, a manipulative and highly adept genjutsu user, by the name of Kagami. I believe it was through her compulsions that Uzugakure initially struck us to begin with. She's killed the former Uzukage in their recent invasion of their village and well assuming that, there is a high possibility the strike witches dispatched by the twin-kage won't be coming back as ordered if not unscathed, and as per recent events spoken from his own mouth, with her is a man that made Taiyo-kami's strength seem pitiable by comparison on top of an impending army potentially several tens of thousand's strong planning on attacking Arashigakure at an undisclosed date but I believe it to be anywhere from five days to possibly even tomorrow. I may be hyperbolizing that number but we have no information in regards to the actual number but I have doubts such an organization would produce an empty bluff. bloop." the gravity of the statement. The squid wondered how Kenshin would receive it. Belamos himself the so-called 'strongest' of the village while not outwardly expressing it was on edge one could almost consider it a panic.
It was here that the real Toso outside would address Belamos. "It seems the captain has arrived bloop. Once you've done and given the girl your answer do meet us inside." The real Toso would then saunter past them and open the office door to a whatever feeling Kenshin and his clone that acknowledged his arrival. The clone poofed and Toso would take its place sitting where it once was re-adjusting his glasses again he'd look to Kenshin. "Is that all to your understanding bloop?" Toso would open the drawer where the tanto was located. Perhaps it was to distract him from the situation. Likely Kenshin mayhaps was still trying to process everything. Even though nothing revealed itself on the squid mans face to say he wasn't at least slightly troubled would be an understatement. What a time to hand over the position of Kage... detaching the Ukyo Mizo his mind would wander to the artistic boy who was now dead. Toso would then accidentally cut his palm as the contents of Ukyo Mizo was spilled on his hand and appeared to soak into the wound. Bound in black blood, brothers that could have been with a similar passion, one outward and expressive in his art, the other keeping to the shadows. An odd sensation would then overcome Toso. The girl was a bold one- daring to make such demands and openly show aggression to him. He respected her courage but pitied the lack of temperance she showed at that moment. As he was about to reply he heard the sound of small feet followed by a single word 'Father' Belamos wheeled around, dropping to a knee and taking his daughter's hands in his own "Oh Aurelia, you had me so worried" Far from the hint of danger that had previously inundated his voice, Belamos now sounded like little more than a worried father. He brought Aurelia in for a huge before continuing to speak "You were so brave, little star. Your mother would be proud" As he released her, he met her eyes "...as am I. You have come so far in such a short time. Just...give me a minute, little one."
Belamos finally stood back up to his full height and turned back to face the Shark-Girl. He seemed to recompose himself, getting right back into a business attitude. Meeting her harsh gaze, he seemed to hesitate before answering "Either wait here, or head to the Academy." Gesturing to Aurelia, he continued "but whatever you do, heed my Daughter's words until I return- she can help you until I am free" Looking back down to Aurelia, he ruffled her hair then bent down and kissed the top of her head. It was the first command she had ever had, and even if it was informal he was interested to see how she would handle it "Have fun you two" He said before turning, walking down the hall and reentering Toso's office.
Belamos entered back into the office to find Kenshin and Toso sitting in near silence. He wasn't sure what was going on but the sour look on Kenshin's face told him he wasn't happy with what was being discussed. 'So, Toso has already told him? Good. Saves me the trouble' Belamos broke the silence, speaking low and slowly "I trust we won't have any problems here"
__ Kenshin would not sit when offered and shook his head in response to the gesture. He listened to Toso's explanation of recent events and it was highly disconcerting. "So Kogarashi has become emboldened. That threat is growing out of control." He recognized that there were great threats beyond their borders, but this was unimaginable. He would not speak in response and would only heavily weigh the possibilities. If Kogarashi was now fully militarized then they would certainly need to protect themselves and switch focus away from Uzushiogakure. When Belamos walked in and spoke Kenshin would not look at him and increase the tension in his reaction. He continued to look at Toso while pointing at Belamos. "First of all, he isn't a Sun god. He's a mortal man. I'd advise against you inflating his ego any further." Kenshin then allowed his white eyes to pierce into Belamos's directly as he lowered his arm. He squinted adversarially before elaborating. "I've seen him bleed." This was in reference to his duel with the man some time ago. Next Kenshin would move onto more substantive issues. "Seizing control of our army from the Arashikage is illegal and the law is never wrong. I won't standby and allow you to break our village's laws at your whim." That was truly the bottom line and Kenshin was prepared for the brute to escalate matters. "You couldn't even manage Otogakure without it completely collapsing. What makes you think you're qualified for this even if it were legal?" The police captain refused to transgress on the Arashikage's authority, however, Toso welcomed Kenshin to express his dissent. Now it was time for Kenshin to express the main reason that his blood was boiling over this. "And the biggest reason that your demand for supreme military leadership is outrageous is that you were a founder of the organization that now threatens the countless lives of our citizens. You're rogue trash just like the rest of Kogarashi and now you want control over our military." Kenshin would now break his stare at Belamos before returning his attention to Toso. "Now then, you said that this Kagami was able to manipulate all of this with...genjutsu? Then she was able to kill a kage? How is any of that even possible from one rogue? And how did they make an army out of the Gimangakure backwater?" All of it seemed highly unlikely and nearly impossible, which was why he was far from able to predict this outlandish outcome. He needed to know the enemy and Belamos seemed to be useful for providing at least that much in the way of knowledge. "With all of that being said, Belamos is right that we need to act with urgency to defend against this threat." Kenshin agreed that force rather than diplomacy or inaction against this powerful rogue organization was the only way, but they needed to follow the righteous and lawful path as that would ensure their victory.

"Is that true Belamos?" The question was asked but Kenshin was a man who was never one to lie so Belamos's response would have been unnecessary. That was made clear when Toso's glance shifted away from him implying he didn't need an answer that his inquiry was purely rhetorical. He'd done what his advisor best believed, the advisor that had a sworn allegiance to Arashigakure in whole, there was no denying that Belamos despite his innumerable contributions was still at his root a rogue. All throughout, Toso's knowledge of Belamos originated from his notoriety as the former kage of Otogakure and the bardic tale of his respected strength. There was no denying the fact of the matter that had been brought to light. If what Kenshin said was true Belamos being ex-kogarashi or rather their former leader did not sit well with him. Having only just been coronated today every single intricacy of every single person in the village, interpersonal relations and other things the founding twin-kage had already firm grasps on i.e Kenshin's business in the Monsoon Temples, Belamos's colorful history. Toso couldn't cover in the length of the time he'd been given especially what with the turning events. "Not here. Bloop." He would say preemptively before a flared temperament would cause damage to the office. Raising his hand and removing his brush case Toso would announce.
"We're moving bloop." The brushes would paint a large circle on the floor of the room, suddenly a falling sensation that would induce a blink would occur amidst the three individuals before opening their eyes again they'd be an empty white expanse that stretched for what seemed endlessly like miles the only item brought along with them the kage's desk of which Toso carried a familiar pose. Toso would then speak to elaborate what just happened as a black hole closed above them as the brushes all returned to the case and snapped shut.
"First and foremost Kenshin. To answer your questions bloop. One bloop yes, this is just loose speculation but to have such powerful Genjutsu I suspect she's in possession of a doujutsu known as the Sakkakugan that to me can only be the logical conclusion. Two bloop its more than one rogue Kogarashi is an organization, I don't know who or what their ranks consist of but I can only assume powerful individuals as silver tongues have a taste for gold bloop, three I don't think it's that simple, uhv stragglers, anarachistic citizens, brainwashed individuals this could all be the basis of said army bloop." If not, Officer Kosei finds your terms unreasonable, as my advisor with a direct enlistment among Arashi's forces, I'll have to consider conceding to it. With what's been brought to light I'm afraid I have a predisposed bias but am still willing to honor your terms as to suddenly devalue all you've done for Arashi to suddenly consider you duplicitous and ingenuine would be spitting in your face. Before I can continue divulging my intentions and plans I need to have my military seeing eye to eye. Officer Kosei, Belamos Karna have you any qualms to a respectable duel to first blood. Toso removed himself from the pose as he leaned back in his chair. He really didn't want it to come to this. A duel to first blood was a genuinely chivalrous way to handle disputes involving combat within the ranks without things like crippling injuries that would otherwise hurt a nation more than help it. "If Officer Kosei succeeds I will entrust militant affairs to him you will be considered a general Belamos but you will still ultimately have to answer to Officer Kosei, if you succeed I will honor our earlier delegations. Belamos Karna you will be admitted and considered an authorized Arashigakure Ninja through legal channels and given proper authorities, and will then have that title stripped from you once this war is over less you officially wish to consign with Arashigakure. I must agree with Officer Kosei that legislation must be abided by but I also agree with you yourself Belamos that you are an imposing authority and prominent figure in Arashigakure despite your affiliation and it is not just arashi citizens but yours living here as well bloop. Are these terms all right? Here In Isekai-Junsei there won't be any need of worrying about injuring anyone else or causing damages to buildings and property." Feeling her father being so close was a gesture that was much appreciated, Aurelia looking into his eyes with a relieved expression. The two person family shared a brief moment as they hugged one another, the child clinging onto her father so hard, as much as when she had learned about her mother. Speaking of which, should she tell him about her dream? Maybe, but now wasn't the time. The smaller Karna would smile at Belamos and squeezed his hands.

"I apologize for my actions, Father." she began. "It was foolish of me to engage a powerful enemy without telling you. I will refrain from doing it again." Such a vocabulary for somebody so young, but such was the gift of royalty. She had it drilled into her head from a young age. Her father appeared to have forgiven her and broke away to speak with the girl standing across from her. This girl was a bit strange. It was like staring into a mirror in a few years or so. It looked like her father had more students to attend to as always though it wasn't long until his decision left her confused.

Belamos crossed his arms and kept oddly silent- despite Kenshin's provocations, ignoring Toso's reality-altering technique and disregarding the offer of a fight Belamos remained silent. He stayed this way for a handful of seconds, staring off into the endless white expanse that they now resided in. He understood where Kenshin was coming from- he didn't agree with the fear-based logic, but at least it was logic he understood. It was funny, actually. Kenshin was actually very similiar to Kagami. Each believed in the fundamental role of the Ninja Village to an almost dogmatic degree. While those beliefs were as far on the opposite ends of the spectrum as two people could be, both were entirely committed to defending those views. That being said, each was just as dangerous as the other if left unchecked. Kenshin's belief seemed to produce just as much hatred as Kagami's, albeit towards rogues. He stood silent, contemplating his predicament and his next action. Unfortunately, he knew what needed to be done.
Without warning, the world around them shimmered and shifted as Belamos used his Light Bending to recreate images from his past. To explain where he wanted to go, it seemed necessary to be honest about where he had been "Kenshin...you speak the truth...but there is much neither of you are aware of" The scene finally came into view. They were standing in the market of a large city- back then referred to as Takumi. A young woman shopped at the stall, holding the hand of a red-haired boy no older than eight or so. "I'm not sure what you all saw from the outside, but living under the boot of the UHV was hell" An explosion ripped through the market. Wood carts splintered, people were tossed about like rag dolls. The scene shifted, Belamos now standing over the body of that young woman, looking down on her as the red-haired child cradled her head in his lap "I was born a rogue. Well...I suppose more like a citizen of the Artisan Village. My mother was killed in one of their bombings. They were quite common back then. I was left alone- my father had been missing for over a year prior to this."
The weeping child vanished. They were now standing in a large basement, torches lining the walls. The red haired boy was now in his teens. He stood hunched over a table with a map, silently pointing to the parchment. Next to him stood a blond haired male and several other similarly aged people "A few of us, tired of the oppression, formed a organization to strike back. A rebellion against the UHV. We called it Kogarashi. I lead it...alongside my friend, Takumi" He gestured to the young, blond male next to him. The scenes changed in quick succession. It depicted Belamos bowing to Horace as he began his infiltration in Otogakure, him undetaking missions with Vivian, meeting Tsuki with Takumi at his side, and the eventual Battle of the Sound "The rest of the story is more or less public knowledge.The allied coalition attacked the Sound and destroyed the UHV. What is less known, though, is Kogarashi's role in it all. We were inside the village, preventing a counter-attack, opening the gates for you. Myself and Tsuki fought Horace together, eventually ending him in his compound" They saw it all- Tsuki evacuating Horace's human experiments while Belamos, encased in a miniature sun, destroyed most of the underground compound to prevent Horace's revenge attack from destroying the allied forces fighting in the streets above them "Unfortunately, to save the lives of it's people, the village had to be sacrificed" It was a decision that still haunted him. For while he knew the Sound was not his home, he had developed responsibility for it.
The images faded, now replaced by two lifelike images of Sandayu and Kagami. "You two know how the rest went. I left Kogarashi and Takumi took over- perverting the group into one bent on the destruction of the Villages. I stayed with the refugees and settled here. That was, until, I received a summons from Kagami" The image of her silently smirked as if she heard her own name "She wished for me to take back over after she killed Takumi- a tempting offer, but once I realized her intentions I walked away. Under her care she is this man: Sandayu." Sanda nodded at this "A weilder of the Mongekyo Sharingan and the Rinnegan" Behind each person, an image of their respective Bijuu materialized "Both of them hold a demon inside of them- further elevating their power. They mean to destroy the villages, and with Uzu checked off their list Arashi will soon be next."
Now, to delve into the matter on hand. For the first time, Belamos turned to face the two. Letting his arms fall to his side and switching gaze from Kenshin to Toso and then back again as he spoke "I understand your distrust- let me do my part to Banish it." The spearman reached into his pocket, and after a moment he retrieved a worn and chipped headband. On it's metal face lay a musical note- the symbol of the Sound. Drawing a kunai, he made a small incision on his palm. Golden Ichor, the blood of gods, spilling over the symbol. Walking over to Toso, he extended the headband to him "My old home is dead- this village is my people now. The two of you included. I wish to be brought in, fully, as a member of your Shinobi forces." He looked over to Kenshin now "You are a capable leader, Captain, but I believe in my heart of hearts this is something I need to do. If I violate your sacred law- I will surrender to you with no fight. You have my word as a father and a King, I will not resist" The words hung in the air as he presented the representation of his past for Toso to replace with his future. All the while anticipating Kenshin's response. This could either in in peace, or blood. Belamos had his preference, but it seemed things so rarely went his way.
__"What!?" Glaring daggers at Belamos it was clear what she thought of the situation. The Sun god however, didn't even give her the pleasure of hearing her reaction as he walked away ignoring her. Kicking up dust at him Nohea briefly considered how a change in mentorship might affect her. That man with the wiggle snakes might be good if he's really a kage? But he's probably busy too. Well this is what I wanted.. With a heavy sigh, the shark girl grudged out a lazy introduction. "My name is Nohea." Short, sweet, and to the point Nohea might be stuck listening to a little girl but she would make sure to fight it every step of the way. "You'll have to lead the way. I've never been there before."
