Gwen notices some movement to her side and looks over, seeing the phantom waving at her. She smiles and waves back, happy to see someone she knows, though she doesn't recognize the woman next to her.

(Work and sister keeping me from replying? Check. Sorry I took so long, but THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT!! xD Where even is anyone?) As the three drivers let their gaze take in the ballroom, a sudden motion caught Mo's eye. A red-haired maiden in a red flowy dress was waving in their direction, smiling. It took the apprentice a moment to realize she was waving at THEM, and yet another moment to realize this woman seemed familiar. Either way, a wave was a wave and after a moment of hesitation, Mo's hand shot up as she waved back at Lucky with a smile of her own. "Oh?" Lewis looked across to where Lucky stood and back to Mo. "Someone you know? Good! You should go say hi, as a start." Mo's anxiety started bubbling immediately. "Uh, Maybe... I mean I should right? I don't really remember her that well though... Heh.." Nate rolled his eyes. He didn't understand how Mo could be so ready to get into a fight one moment, but then be so shy and nervous around people the next. And didn't she know some of them too? "That's the whole point of stuff like this. You get in, eat food, talk to people, dance with some of them, see friends, make new ones. You're gonna deal with people Mo. And you're definitely gonna be dancing tonight. No excuses." "Especially people besides us, other people." Lewis added. Mo's evil look swiveled from one senior to the other. "Well right back at'cha Nate, no wandering off on your own for you either!" "Hey, hey, there's plenty of ladies AND gentlemen around tonight," Lewis jumped in hastily, trying to prevent an argument, "Maybe we'll all get lucky with a dance or two, huh? Why not? It's not like we've got any other plans tonight... Right?" The sorcerer looked between his two companions pointedly. Shrugging indifferently, Nathan picked a different route. "Well I think my plans for tonight are gonna be getting some food in me before anything else. Sound good to you?" The other two nodded, but before they could react, a blue haired woman was suddenly in front of them, handing them each a pile of something."Complements of the house...""Hello?" Lewis blinked at her appearance, hastily accepting the pocket squares. His confusion faded away with a warm smile as he realized what they were. "Ow wow, thank you!" He leafed through his pile, admiring the patterns and materials while Mo eyed her own pile curiously. "Oooooh, what are these? Is it a game for later?" Lewis turned to Mo, holding a few out. "They're pocket squares. It's a little thing for decoration. It sticks out and now it looks like you have a handkerchief. See?" He tucked one into his breast pocket to demonstrate. "Oh." But Mo looked down at herself, patting down the material of her dress, suddenly sad. "Wait..."Nathan looked irritated at someone suddenly shoving something at him. Out of pure instinct, the first thing his hands did was count how many he'd received. "Thanks? Why do I need this many? Where the hell am I supposed to put them all?" "At least you have pockets..." Mo said glumly. Already something had gone wrong for her tonight. But Nate ignored her, staring at the woman with blue hair. His look of irritation stopped short, sliding more into deja vu territory the more he looked at her. Why did he know her? Why did she seem so familiar to him? Nate shook his head slightly to himself. There weren't any clear bells ringing, but something about this person was screaming at him. "Um..." Lewis had tried to help Mo with her squares, but she had shrugged him off, suddenly coming up with her own idea and disappearing behind a column. She suddenly reappeared next to her seniors, looking pleased with herself. The top of her dress was overflowing with pocket squares stuffed in and sticking out madly. A few more were sticking out of the tops of her gloves. "I found where to put them!"

Having been left to her own devices, the mermaid looked around to see if she could find Monster and Arron. Maybe one of them would dance with her? She was dressed like a very pretty lady, after all, and very pretty ladies were supposed to dance with very handsome gentlemen. At least, that's what the storybooks she liked to read always said, anyway.
In the midst of her searching, however, her eyes fell upon some rather delicious looking strawberries near the food. Bouncing a little, she tried to skip over, before nearly tumbling over in her fancy dress. Stopping to catch her balance, she carefully walked her way over and gathered some strawberries on a plate to nibble on while she scoured around her to see if she could find a handsome dance partner.

Having escaped the knight's grasp, Arron quickly ran into River. "Oh hello! Are you en-enjoying the ball too?" he said with a smile, seeing her face put him more at ease. Kate would be able to see her friend with the mermaid.

Nibbling happily on her strawberries, the mermaid almost didn't notice Arron until he came up to her. Bouncing on her toes happily, she nodded with excitement.
"Uh huh! A-as long as there's n-no scary p-people around..." She fidgeted a bit, casting a quick glance around. There were a lot of unfamiliar faces, but nobody had seemed mean or horrible, at least not yet, anyway.
Swishing the skirt of her dress, she giggled again. "D-do you l-like my d-dress?"

It appears that Arron stopped to talk to River. She tilts her head slightly before walking over to the two. "Hello!" she said, smiling at them. "Oh! River! You have such a pretty dress!"

RandomKate Clara watches as a newcomer joins the festivities. "Oooo. I remember her." She nodded, "As do I. There are so many old, yet familiar faces here. I wonder who else will turn up." Holding the werewolf's attention, the Phantom gestured to the empty air at her side. It was a silent invitation to come over.

Cid had wandered over to another quiet area, her fidgeting getting worse and now the cloth corsage was hanging limp on her wrist. Tonight wasn't fruitless, she guessed. Information was gained, a possible solution found. It seemed about time for her to relay what she had found to her friend. Ducking into one of the back hallways, she took the earring off, waved to it, and suddenly in a small flash, the stone vanished.
"Alright...eaten enough to keep the cold back for a little while..." she whispered to herself, a small shiver running through her. She only hoped it wouldn't be too long.

Danny half-listened to the reactions the pocket squares caused. It didn't matter. While her friends were taking things one-by-one, she was almost finished with her quota in one fell swoop. "Thanks?" Nate said like a question. "Why do I need this many? Where the hell am I supposed to put them all?" Danny cracked her neck in a show of apathy. "That's not my problem. I get to stop this charade soon as they're gone." He looked up at her, and their eyes met. All at once she realized who it was. They'd met once battling a rogue kin that was attacking civilians, and seen each other a couple times since from afar. It had been a while, and she'd altogether given up riding the bus because of him. A dark blush tinted her cheeks. "So...have fun figuring it out!" she exclaimed hotly, disappearing into the crowd."I found where to put them!" Mo cheered, fabric trickling out of her gown and gloves. Suddenly Laney was right beside her, clapping at the mix of fashion and ingenuity. "Brava! They're to die for!" She reached out and shook Mo's hand. "Name's Laney, by the way! You know, I think it would look awfully fetching if we tied one in your hair as well!" OOC: ~

The Dragon Anon "Hm... I'll keep an eye out for you." The song ends and he leads them off the dance floor. He smiles, seeming a bit sad, "Thank you for dancing with me, Gigi. I'll take you up on your offer if I ever feel up to talking about it." "Thanks , Nef~" She smiled up at him then followed as he lead her off the dance floor. "Oh it was certainly a shared pleasure~" she assured him, patting his arm. Her hand then moved down to take his and she patted it gently with her other hand. "All you have to do is say, and I'll be there for you." His hand was then given a squeeze before she let go. "Is there something else you might like to try now, maybe a stop over at the refreshment tables?"

"Y-Your dress is lovely River!" said the young man with a smile, "It l-looks like everyone is okay to-to be around tonight. S-So'll you'll be safe." He at least hoped that the night would end on a good note & not with some strange occurrence that left everyone having to go on an adventure to solve some sort of mystery.

"Yeah. It's not a bad thing, though, new faces are nice to tease too," she replied, looking around the room. She nods in agreement. "Oh! Arron! Can I ask you something?"

The prince's mysterious companion seemed to be content after their dance, and he slipped away to find others chat to and dance with. The evening was progressing well, and unknowingly his thoughts were somewhat aligned with a certain Lythcol mechanic's. He was all too aware of the strange adventures that occurred when so many beings from so many worlds and walks of life were together in one place. It seemed that their troubles followed and congregated as well. He silently wished that that would not be the case tonight, even though he knew that his own wish would fall on deaf ears. Taking a break from the dancing and chatting, the prince made his way to the refreshment table. He gathered a small slice of cake, giving a bow of his head in greeting to two particular redheads who were nearby. One of the two, a certain little sister of his, narrowed her eyes slightly in warning. He smiled in response, and promptly stuck a forkful of the cake in his mouth. It was very rich. The prince left the ladies to their own devices though, content to eat his cake and observe for a few moments before he would once again mingle with the guests. Movement drew his attention to a corner of the room, one of the halls to be exact. Cidri, who he had met earlier, was slipping into the hall. Likely if weren't for those ruffles, she would have been completely unnoticed. He hadn't been able to get into a deep conversation with her, but after her saluting before and now her ability to slip around unnoticed, he was beginning to suspect she was more than a little formally trained. He was curious. That hall had nothing particularly of interest other than a few locked doors. He made a mental note to go check on her if she did not return soon.

Cidri would come back from the hall a few moments later, her earring removed for the time being. She wouldn't need it for a little while anyway. Her posture would be slightly different, an arm crossed over the front and holding the other close to her body, slight tremors going through her shoulders on occasion. Like she was steadily growing colder and was trying to keep as much heat in as possible.

Whispering Minstrel Cidri would come back from the hall a few moments later, her earring removed for the time being. She wouldn't need it for a little while anyway. Her posture would be slightly different, an arm crossed over the front and holding the other close to her body, slight tremors going through her shoulders on occasion. Like she was steadily growing colder and was trying to keep as much heat in as possible. He frowned as he saw the other return. She didn't look too good. Abandoning the cake, the prince made his way towards Cidri. As he got closer, he noticed slight tremors coming from her body. What had happened to cause the change in the span of a few minutes? "Lady Cidri? Are you alright?" he asked, the concern echoing in his voice.
