Haruki changed his stance so his blade tip was pointed lower, along with his arm being down rather than raised. He changed his stance quicklly so he could avoid losing his weapon, it was his best way to fight in the air. And now he was no longer gliding, but flying since he continually used his energy to keep him in the air. He doubted he was as fast as Sora, but he was fast enough to keep up the chase unless they retreated from the mountain entirely. He moved toward them as quickly as he could before thrusting outward, trying to actually run Sora through with the blade instead of Feather, if Sora fell then she'd die with it, what Haruki didn't know was even if he killed Sora Feather would be able to fly on her own. He was throwing his all in to this fight, the only way he was breaking out of this was if he was killed, and he doubted Feather could, or would do that, she was far too nice for her own good. Then again, restraining him might give him enough time to regain control over himself...

The wing shield kept the attacks from hitting Feather and Sora as they fell in free-fall. It also told the two of them that Haruki was close by. Just in time to not smash on the ground, Sora spread out his wings and smacked Haruki with them. They were still hardened, so the kiranu wouldn't have been able to pierce them. Furthermore, a twisting motion was performed while opening the wings so the Kiranu wouldn't be able to slip past and hit Feather while the defenses were being lowered. He had two obvious choices: 1) be smacked by steel-like wings or 2) get away from Feather and Sora.

Assuming all went well and neither he nor Feather would be hit in the process. Sora would use his now-open (and still hardened) wings along with the speed of his dive to quickly compress the air between his wings and the ground and use that compressed air to shoot upwards, above and beyond the height that Haruki would be able to reach. The addition of an Air Spout created by Feather would speed up the process and ensure that the pair were indeed out of Haruki's reach.

Haruki was still in a half-berserk state so moving away from his target was against him, he took the full force of the blow before falling off of his only means of staying in the air. Instead of trying to get back on it he dispersed the blade and used both his hands to grab his jacket before putting it back on, fighting an air battle was something he couldn't do like this. So instead he simply directed himself toward the ground, his back-up plan would keep him from going splat atop the mountain. A spout of wind formed underneath Haruki and he was lowered back to where he began, safely, but enraged that he couldn't attack them from here. "You can't run forever..." Haruki growled silently as he waited for an opening so he could somehow attack them, but doing it from here was impossible. He was also starting to feel the pain from that previous hit, it felt like he'd smashed himself in to a steel door...willingly.

Air Spout

Description: Similar to the Water Spout, adept users are able to rotate and control the direction of the Air Spout enough to levitate them off the ground and remain in the air for as long as they wish to or can maintain it. It lifts you at most two stories off the ground.

Meanwhile, Feather was thinking,

From there, Feather set her plans into action, with Sora polishing them. First, the girl sent an Air Vortex in Haruki's direction, aiming to trap him in its center. It would start off large, and then narrow down to prevent the Kiranu from moving.

If the first stage was successful and Haruki was caught, Feather would move on to the next stage. She strummed the beginning chord and then continued on from there. The score she was playing was the activation song for Melodic Chains and as she played, a staff of music came flowing out and to Haruki. It entered the Air Vortex from above and aimed to ensnare Haruki, binding him in its melodies and harmonies. The space Haruki was trapped in was limited, even if he somehow dodged the first attempt, the following attempts would surely catch him as they limited the amount of space he could move in.

Melodic Chains

Description: This is a very interesting ability for you can see the physical manifestation of the song. A musical staff will emerge and grow from the musical instrument and this will try to wrap around your opponent and encase them in this song. The longer you keep playing the tighter it gets. An A rank attack will destroy this or if the minstrel/bard stops playing. By the first post the person will have trouble breathing, by the second they cant breath anymore and are starting to choke, by the third you start crushing their body if they manage to live up to the fourth post their bones begin to break if they do make it to the fifth post it wont matter anymore cause you would have compacted them.

Haruki dived to the left and completely dodged the vortex, he stood to his feet and smiled as the technique passed, but he wasn't expecting the second one. "Wh-what is this?!" Haruki found it impossible to move while trapped in what appeared to be music. Haruki didn't have anything powerful enough to break the technique, so all he could do was attempt to escape, failing all the while. His struggle was completely rage based so he soon tired himself out trying to break away, he hated being contained in something like this. As she continued with that song Haruki began to notice he was having trouble breathing. "H-how dare you...!"

Feather continued to play, not moving from her spot in the air. Her fingers moved skillfully across her instrument, bringing out the fullest tone of each vibration of the strings. She was far above Haruki and unable to get any closer without breaking her playing. That would pose to be a problem very soon. Haruki, who would be barely able (if not completely unable) to breathe at this point, would have quite the difficult time to relay to Tsubasa when he had returned to his senses. the girl thought with worry,

Haruki soon after dropped to his knees, he found it impossible to draw breath, from this point all of his anger was erased, replaced with desperation. He wanted to call out to her, to tell her to stop, but he couldn't do it, and he really didn't want to die here like his previous thoughts made him sound like he wanted. "I can't...breathe...what's going on?!" His mind was racing, trying to figure out what he'd do now when he couldn't even move his arms. "St..." He could hardly even say that much, but he was desperate so he attempted to speak again. "Stop..." It was silent, a weak cry, but it was all he could do right now with no way to breathe. He highly doubted she could hear him though, regulars humans had terrible hearing.

Regular humans did have horrible hearing. However, in conditions like the one Haruki tried to call out for help in, even a siren would have trouble. Feather was about six stories above Haruki (paranoia on the part of Sora). Not only was there distance, but there was also wind, not enough to blow away the strong and energy-enforced music that Feather played but definitely enough to blow away Haruki's weak voice. Finally, Feather was playing and concentrating on her own music. Sirens had excellent hearing, the best, but they had their limits. The danger was serious about Feather being unable to hear Haruki.

However, what Feather couldn't hear (or see even thanks to her concentration), Sora could. He, like Tsubasa, couldn't hear Haruki. However, he was able to tell from the Kiranu's general body form and the length of time that form was maintained, that Haruki had really returned to normal.

As soon as the tiniest spark of that discovery reached Feather's head, the girl stopped and swooped down. She landed on the ground, allowing Sora to rest his wings. "Are you alright?" she asked as she rushed forwards. Clearly, she did not want to restrain Haruki as she had done just not too long ago.
Sora, meanwhile, warned, {Careful! He might not be done yet.}

Haruki sighed as he was finally released, he didn't think he'd be able to take that any longer. "I...I'm fine, my ribcage feels funny though." Haruki said as he stood up, his hair seemed to have grown in length, covering up part of his face completely, and what little there was to be seen appeared to have blood running all the way down it. "Do I look okay?" He asked, clearly not aware that he was already in the final state, he'd just yet to try to harness it yet, he was still slightly shaken. "Better question...I didn't hurt you, right?" Haruki asked feeling slightly guilty he was that out of control.

Tsubasa was unfazed by the change in Haruki's appearance. However, Sora, being ever-cautious was. Thus, the siren managed to get out only a, "No, of," before being whisked into the air and away from Haruki by Sora. Once more, he aimed to get about six stories away from any piece of ground to ensure nothing would hit the girl.

{Sora?!} Feather asked.
The guardian responded, {Something isn't right!}.

Haruki's gaze hardened when Sora pulled Feather away from him. "What, you overgrown lizard? You think I'm not good enough to be around now?" he roared. Power swirled around him as the last seal on this new power was breached. "If I'm so unworthy, I'll just have to kill you to prove how wrong you are!" Haruki launched himself in the air to slice the air in a racing assault towards Sora.

Sora pushed off of Feather and both of them dodge the slice, Feather by falling and Sora by rocketing upwards now that he didn't have to carry the bard. They weren't all that far from the ground, considering Haruki had been able to reach them by just jumping, so Tsubasa landed with little difficulty. She was used to falling; falling was essentially how a quick landing was made. The moment she regained her balance the girl began playing. It was the same tune as before, Melodic Chains. Out of her lute a winding music staff came out and lashed at Haruki. Haruki was still in the air (the extra speed that Sora's push gave Tsubasa's fall allowed the girl to land earlier than the boy), his options for dodging were limited.

To keep Haruki occupied, further limiting his dodging options while also keeping him from attacking Feather, Sora dive-bombed the kiranu right after gaining what little altitude he did. The guardian's wings were still hardened with energy and so he covered his body with those to both protect himself and add more power into his attack. It was aimed for Haruki, but on the opposite side of Melodic Chains so that the best method of dodging him would be to go towards the other attack.

Haruki saw both attacks coming and knew dodging in normal ways was out. So he reached out to hold of Sora once close enough in an attempt to through the summon into the oncoming musical attack.

Wrong move. Sora's wings might have been hardened, but he could still feel Haruki and the moment he felt foreign fingers touch him, the guardian flung his wings out, hitting Haruki with them once more. Even if the Kiranu managed to hold on somehow, the rest of his body was likely to be flung out and towards the incoming chains. The spreading of the wings would also increase the air drag on the winged creature's body, making it extremely difficult (if not impossible) to fling him around as one pleased.

Feather continued to play, eyes watching carefully. It was yet uncertain whether or not who would be caught in the chains.

With Sora flinging at Haruki, he used that movement to get himself out of the music's way and back down to the ground. Everyone needed to be shown he was worthy. And the closest person to him now was Feather. He looked at her. She was playing against him. She's our friend. She wanted to hurt him. She only wants to help. One hand on Haruki's head, he screamed and opened up his palm with his nails. Blood in his hand, he flung it at Feather to blind her and stop her.

Seeing Red

Description: A dirty fight technique where the user coats their fingers in blood and then flicks the blood into the eyes of their opponent in close range. Energy is put into the blood to make it stick to the opponent so its difficult to rub off immediately.
