Not a moment passed before Kanti had jumped to her feet and leapt at Sanoskue, landing on top of him and pinning him down. “Gotcha!” she barked gleefully.

"Or so you think." Sanoskue said, using his hind legs he kicked her gently off of him then pinned her to the ground.

Kanti looked up at Sanoskue with a smirk. “Fine, you got me. Whatcha gonna do now tough guy?” she challenge, mischief reflecting in her eyes.

Kanti laughed and fondly licked Sanoskue back. “Psh, and here I thought you were gonna do something big and tough, like a real scary wolf,” she teased lightly.

"Why would I? Or do you get a kind of thrill having your life put in danger?" He said nuzzling her gently.

She nudged Sanoskue’s muzzle with her nose. “There’s a difference between having my life really in danger, and just playing,” Kanti said softly.

"I know, but I don't think I could even pretend to endanger your life." Sanoskue said just as softly.

Kanti looked up at him and was quiet for a moment. She slowly rolled onto her side, forcing Sanoskue to move and lay down next to her. “You really care about me,” she said quietly, almost sounding surprised.

She whined softly and pressed her muzzle against his, her tail wagging slightly. There were no words to describe how Kanti felt at that moment, all she could do was press as close to Sanoskue as she could.

Sanoskue snuggled up against her as well, he couldn't expres how he felt in any other way.

They lay like that for what seemed to be an eternity, Kanti feeling as if she would be quite content to never move again if it meant she could stay like this with him forever.

The sun set, and the moon began to rise, a cold breeze blowing from the river, but Sanoskue didn't want to move, he was happy where he was, and it wasn't as cold out tonight as it was the past few nights.

Kanti sighed softly and tilted her head up to look at the moon and stars that shone brightly in the sky. “Sanoskue?” she said quietly. “Where do we go from here?”
