i think i actually improved rendering from the tutorials i usually see in DA and some of my friends tips ^^

cool idea redrawing an old art... i can really see that not only have you improved on the line art technique but the proportions and pose are more balanced too! i bet your coloring right now looks great as well ^^

heheh another pic to compare now! heres the first fanart i did for totoro in late 04.  and heres the new pic i just finished of totoro. i think the main difference is a better composition and more better color choices.

this actually shows how an art can be a lot better when you add the right line weight to the right places ^^ colors looks great and the concept, adorable > w < now i wanna cling to totoro too~ ^ 3 ^

@xobooka thank you! funny thing was when i was drawing the pic i was making that same expression..... i do with a lot of my chibis too..... i just get so into making those weird expressions sometimes

its basically about mei babysitting nekobasu's offspring hence koneko(kitten), it was only 13mins but it had rave reviews.... i have the artbook dled from the ghibli museum and the movie looks so awesome.... and it has totoro in there too in the land of totoros...... and also show the nekobaus ba chan (grandmother)..... its so sad they don't have a miyazaki short dvd with sub yet.... i'm trying so hard to find it online but no luck...... because they're only showing it in the museum
