They were a nuisance to me last weekend until I set my PM's to friends only. I have set them back now and so far no spam yet.

If I didn't rely on PMs for conducting my exchangery goodness, I'd have mine set to friends only as well. Best option ever IMO. :3
As it is I'm recieving about 20 of the buggers a day. o__o;

I got about thirty of those before I decided to take the chance and sign their whitelist. I haven't been bothered since, and it seemed safe enough seeing as I only had to give them my username and not a password...

annoying as hell but I'm pretty lucky I don't get them that often, I try to avoid places like the CB to avoid getting pms like that so much.

xD; Oooh, don't go to that website at all. You could have been nailed with all sorts of keyloggers. Not only that, but it sets you up as someone who WILL follow the links given if you're pestered enough, so they might take that whitelist and eventually work at you with a new angle.
I've had a total of thirty-eight messages with them coming in at ten per day, for awhile there. @.@ I reported most of 'em, but was deleting them as they came toward the end.

do not click the site its evil just whenever you have that pm report it and go on with life
if you really wanna get rid of the pms is scan your computer clean out the cookies
then download the new google chrome my friend said he hasnt gone a bot pm since
i just want to do my duty by reporting everyone of them

o.o As far as I know, that doesn't have anything to do with Gaia's PM system. It's a bot that sends out messages via Gaia, you'd have to have something that messes with Gaia's internal operations.

The bots have a way of finding active users in the forums. They pick people based on their post count and start to bug them. I dont think that giving LG your username will make things any better.

mhmm i dont trust them i will not use the whitelist though people have said they have used them, im just paranoid after being hacked once.....
I just report every one i get. They have your username to send you the PM AND they are advertising gaia CHEATS so they don't respect site rules.
Also a lot of the accounts look like stolen ones,some are clearly new but it makes me dubious all in all.
