lyssan takes one look at keva and rolls her eyes...
ye take care of luceil... i'll handle this one... imagine, drinking alcohol at his age... (and yes she can smell it on him....) shaking her head, he carries the kit to his room and tucks him in... but the look on her face says he better have a very good story to explain his actions in the morning...

Fair enough. He's taken off for parts unknown. I know where his wagon is though. He's got it parked in the shadow realm, just outside the borders of Lyssan's realm.

*And that was how it went for many weeks. Luciel put forth as much effort as he could, pleasing all the castle. He was the sweetest of children, always willing to lend a paw. He was studious, and soon earned all but Amestru’s trust. He never earned back his voice, however.
Meanwhile, Zel continued to hunt for patch, finding signs here and there, but with no true leads. Even Kero was baffled, the few times he could get away.
One day, however, Luciel woke up and began to build, using Kero’s knowledge of pyrotechnics to make a variety of fireworks, which he mounted to a single fuse. Installing these all over the Kitchen while everybody slept, he waited until the breakfast rush in the Kitchen, when Chaumphy was at her busiest, then lit the fuse. Hiding in a cabinet, he watches the chaos that unfolds as the fireworks go off everywhere, Catherine wheels and Roman Candles spouting off, while bottle rockets fly hither, dither, and yon. When it is all over, his laughter can be heard, though he is trying valiantly to stifle it*

that night there is a meeting of all the important adults in the palace, shouts and groans could be heard amid the laughter and the next day a bucket and toothbrush sit outside luceil's door... a note states simply the flagstones in the courtyard need cleaning... and it is signed amestru rolleyes

*Luciel groans and gets to work...finishing up at midnight....just as Amestru comes to inspect what he has accomplished. Luciel cocks his head as he listens to Kero...then flings his mind out clumsily to Amestru*
Is this how it's done....that's easy!
Lord Amestru....I'm sorry for what I did...It was a juvenile prank, and Kero has been scolding me for it all day. Is there anything else I can do to earn forgiveness?

amestru get s a sly look in his eyes... you may not be able to, but your alter ego can... i need to get that beast penned up and i' am almost ready to pledge just about anything... luceil, it is very very important... you must believe me... some of my people tend to get testy when they don't sleep well.. well... let's put it this way... they get down right dangerous.... sad
