::Seth gave a gentle smile at the greeting from the young hare. It was nice to see familiar faces that weren't members of his patrol.::
Well, it has been a long trip, you know. I wanted to grab at least a good drink before settling down and shooting the breeze with you all. ::he began to walk towards where Eula had first sprung from; towards Donato and Jasmine::

Eula smirked a little, turning on her footpaw to follow Seth back to the table. "Jamie left this morning, weird 'cause I thought he'd be tired..." With that, she dropped back into her former chair next to Donato.
"Shame you weren't here yesterday. Missed quite a celebration." She turned back to her food and took a half-hearted bite, but finally gave up trying to force an appetite she didn't have and returned her attention to the others.

Hmm? : biggrin onato's comment seemed to catch her off guard, as she watched Seth and Eula reunited, but spoke with him at the same time, and after a small pause, a smile emerging, nodded::
Tired... a little... but I think we're all going to be fine for a good while now...
::She quietened again to allow Seth and Eula back, rising with an accompanying curtsy to the returning hare, her smile still there:: It's good to see you back in our halls again... and I daresay you'll be happy to see the food tables again?
::She seemed ready to add more to her practised sounding greeting when she looked at the OTHER two hares there and the tiny bundle whom was Faith:: Would anybeast here like to tell Seth about our Abbess?
((^^ I think I'm ready to be back here, lol ))

Eula hated that feeling - when something good was spoiled with the memory of bad things that had happened. She sighed and faked being interested in her breakfast again, taking another bite.
This was the haremaid's way of saying "I'm not telling him." She chewed her food slowly and deliberately, looking at Jasmine as she did so, expecting the fox to break the news to Seth.
Eula was probably going to be pouty on and off again all that day for a variety of reasons - and everyone would just have to get over it, right?
((Welcome back!))

::It seemed Eula picked the wrong end of the stick, as Jasmine took one look at her, taking the hint as she looked at Seth, softening a little more::
While you were gone, Ayla had passed on from us... ::She didn't leave much time to let it sink in there before she went on:: And appointed her successor... ::She eased Seth to try and turn him, until he'd see the sleeping bundle, as she gestured a paw silently, to let THAT part sink in now...::
((::Shrug:: ^^ Me and Kiba glad to be here, lol ::Still playing:: ))

::He didn't sit down; just as he was about to, Jasmine began to speak. At hearing that their abbess had passed, Seth felt sympathy at the loss, but was more concerned for his friends and how they felt, considering he didn't know the mouse as well as they did. He couldn't really bawl for the creature, but he did feel a deep sense of pity.
At the news of successor, Seth raised his eyebrows:: Really? Who?
::Although, the answer was never said. Seth's attention was diverted elsewhere when a shout came from the doors just a few yards down::
Seth!
::Sasha came bolting from the door, tears in her eyes, and threw herself into Seth's arms. She buried her face in his chest as he felt his arms wrap around her:: You're a right b*****d...::she murmured, holding him tighter:: God, I hate you.

Eula twisted around in her seat when she heard Seth's name called. She watched Sasha running towards Seth, not quite sure if this was going to turn out good or bad. When it ended with them hugging and in each other's arms, she turned back to the table, unable to suppress a bit of a smug grin of her own as she took another sip of water.
"The last two reunions I watched happen here in the Great Hall looked like lot more fun than my recent reunions," she pointed out with a small laugh, shaking her head a bit.

((All right, since y'all died AGAIN xp I'm going to FF again and then Sam shall join our RP because I give him permission to do so and we started in IM.))
It was growing late that day; the sun had sunk to the horizon, throwing the Wood and abbey into a milky twilight, stars starting to pop into the darkening sky.
After the rather uneventful day, a fervent knock came on Redwall's main gate and a familiar voice called out, "Hey chaps, let a bod in!"
The young Long Patrol hare from earlier stood there, anxiously waiting to be let in, shifting impatiently on his footpaws as he waited for a reply or for the gate to open and let him in. He had a couple things in tow with him as well. Balanced in the crook of his arm he had a small, swaddled figure, hidden in the folds of a blanket. In his other paw he held the smaller paw of a little creature - a small kitten.

Maddox stood there shivering to the point where his knees were almost knocking against each other. Looking at the gate, he was starting to feel a little nervous as to how this new place would feel like. Who would he meet? What would they say about him? Would everyone treat him like an outsider? Or would they welcome him with open arms? Would he even fit in at all?
The approaching night made the entrance that stood before them seem dark and foreboding. Maddox clutched Jamie's hand a little tighter.
Um, sir? I mean...Jamie? What's an abbey?

::Maybe one of them would have caught sight of the head that suddenly darted back over the top of the ramparts again and out of sight, there was no great response, no great welcome, but a door did open, albeit slowly, with a loathesome creak, hardly the kind of response that would have reassured the young one alongside Jamie...::
::It might have been the root of suspicion had it not been for somebeast finally appearing when Whisper suddenly dove down for the open gate, and Kusaa whom had opened it was quickly trying to edge out of Jamie's sight for the moment, her face hidden::
::Although really, bats still weren't the greatest welcoming committee as she landed, and let the young kit take in her sight, the large, cockle shelled ear, thin, delicate muzzle of many fangs, folding, wide open wings, her very look could have been considered monstrous to those who had never seen a bat before, especially in the dark where her eyes had a slight sheen to them, and she looked over them quickly, one by one, trying to take in all that she could, her expression suddenly growing stern and commanding as she walked past to close the gate quickly::
What happened? ::She demanded as she locked the gate into place, throwing her own weight behind it for extra measures...::

The young Patrol hare was about to reply to the kitten when he heard the gate started to creak open.
Jamie was a little startled himself by the unusual welcome to Redwall. Keeping a firm grip on the little paw at his side, he led Maddox quickly into the abbey, allowing Whisper to close it behind them. He slid a curious gave over the two bats, recognizing both of them vaguely.
He remembered Kusaa as the shy Dibbun from the wedding, and assumed that was why she was trying yet again to hide. As for Whisper, he'd seen her only in passing, never given a proper introduction to the bat.
He released the kitten's paw for a moment, folding down the blanket to reveal a tiny creature with long ears and bright blue eyes; not a leveret, but a creature with somewhat shorter ears... just an infant bunny. It made no sound as it gazed around with its large eyes, soaking in the area.
"Was jus' on m'way home and found these two alone out in the Wood. They were layin' right by a slain rat. I couldn't tell ye anymore. The bunny here, she's too young to speak, and Maddox doesn't seem to recall anything." He nodded then down to the kitten at his side.

::Her look softened perhaps a little as she looked to the kitten... cats had not been seen here in so many seasons... even she had only seen pictures upon the tapestry... depictions from tales... now... out of nowhere one appeared... and from the sound of it... as she looked at the little rabbit... it seemed like tragedy had brought this about...::
::She shook herself, thinking on a larger prospective, and deciding she knew where priority lay...::
Get them in to the infirmary quickly. ::She said decisively, drawing her rapier out quickly, her eyes and expression hardening again:: But before you go, tell me how that rat was slain...
...I need to know if she's still out there...

Jamie hesitated, confused. Apparently the bat knew more about the situation than he did, and he'd stumbled upon it himself. "She?" He queried, lifting a brow in question.
He paused for a moment, then rested a paw on Maddox's head, ruffling the kitten's headfur just enough to distract the Dibbun as he dropped his voice and answered Whisper's question. "I couldn't tell you exactly, but no secretive means. He definitely took some hard blows from a blade..."

::Whisper made her namesake well, whispering so softly it was barely audible even at close range there when she bent in close...::
Hard enough and big enough to have been Fenya's blade?
::And back she went, waiting here... in any case, any beast whirling a blade like that was often bad news... but killing vermin wasn't too bad... if you stopped and asked questions first... who knew really what the situation was as her wings unfurled themselves fully, she was ready to go as soon as she got that one answer... she wanted to know who this was... and if it wasn't Fenya... she was probably in for a surprise what she was about to find out there...::

Jamie hesitated again, considering his answer. He thought about when he saw Fenya and the blade he'd seen her carry. He frowned... he'd given up being a scout nearly four seasons ago... attention to details was not his strong suit.
"I... I honestly have t'say I wasn't payin' too terrible amount of attention to manner of death of the rat. I was rather worried 'bout gettin' the two away and somewhere safe. Though, if'n' it was a goodbeast who done killed the rat, why would'a they left these Dibbuns alone?"
