but there are no branches... i.. i think all the branches have come before this point in time... now what i see is like a river rushing to the sea... there's no stopping it... not truly... and i... i.... i have to make a choice... only it's not really a choice, is it... i mean it's going to happen anyway... one way or another... so i might as well make the right one to begin with... why drag it out any longer....

she sighs and leans against him... don't tell ma, ok... she'll do something foolish iffin ye do... or dad... ye can tell tam iffin ye think it's important... but dad, ma, and keva would only try to interfere... tam's different... he'll look at me and ask... is it important... and iffin i say yea... he'll nod and thens ask where he can help... he's funny liker that... he's always known something about me... even when i was little... knew i could see before even ma and dad did.... he used to tease me about it too... she sighs... i sometimes think he has sight too, but when i try to look at him... he glows so much my eyes hurt....
