Well Gaia has really been going downhill lately. Their business model is way too aggressive towards making money.
It seems like not a lot of people are hanging around. Maybe that's just me though. confused
This guild does seem to have declined in activity. I wonder if people will be upset about the Secret Santa being cancelled.

Lately? I would say it has been like that ever since you could actually buy gold...or items that only give you gold.
Nah, I think your right. All the cool people from back in the day just don't really come on anymore, or hardely at all.
I'm sure no one has really noticed. No one has said anything to me about it, and I haven't noticed a thread asking about it.

Pretty much the moment they released Flynn's Booty. But now they also have so many new items being constantly released that can only be bought with Gaia Cash.
Almost all my friends have disappeared by now. I only really come online to chat now.
I wonder how many people are actually active in the guild anyway. There's always a few in the games subforum, but not much elsewhere.

Do you possibly have any extra tickets/tokens that you don't need? I can trade you for any caches that you may need.
I know, it's kinda sad actually...I kinda miss the old days where you actually had to work really hard to earn the gold you wanted for those items that you wanted so bad.
I come online to chat and look at alchemy. There just isn't anything to do anymore.
Pretty much. One of the crew members was MIA for a couple months and came back and got super pissed that I 'let the guild die'...there is only so much that I can do as a person. I tired my best to keep it going.

I do have some just sitting around in my inventory. I don't really need any caches since I have dozens of each one. I kind of gave up on alchemy because it was too much effort. sweatdrop I'll just send you what I have for tickets and tokens.
They had a good balance back then. If you worked hard, you could eventually afford some expensive items. You also had the option to spend real money to buy items quickly. Now it's more that you can't afford anything without spending real money.
Yeah, I think it's more of an overall trend rather than something that you should be blamed for. Every guild I'm part of is practically dead. I hate seeing this trend.
I was actually doing some thinking and I'd really like to see the Secret Santa happen, even if there isn't a lot of people around. I'd be willing to organize it myself by sending out all the PMs and receiving and sending the gifts. I suppose I'd probably have to use one of my mules so I don't get overwhelmed by PMs and trades, and people might be skeptical that I'm doing it even though I'm not a crew member, but I'd be willing to give it a try. I hope it's not too late to start it up now, if I have your permission. biggrin

Thanks so much! Sorry I only accepted the trade and didn't get back to you. I didn't have that much time to go on the pc while i was on vacation. Now that I'm back home, I have a lot of stuff to do over the next couple days that I don't wanna do sad
I know...It's kinda sad. They need to bring back that balance. I know they won't though.
I'll see what I can do. I'll put a max of like 50 people for it though, just so I'm not overwhelmed. The only bad thing is gifts might be sent out a little late just because of starting so late. I'll look into it after work today.

It was AMAZING!!! I did so much, and it was a ton of fun.
Well I did it! If you don't have the gold for it, I can just give it to you. I have plenty right now...I'm sure people wont mind. Alright, if I get to much to do all give you something to do.

Where did you go anyway? Or was it a staycation?
I have plenty too. I can easily afford to spend a few million on a gift for someone. I suppose limiting it to 50 will help make it easier. I hope no one ended up getting excluded. At least it happened, which is good enough for me. I kind of felt that letting it not happen at all would have been like the death cry of this guild. Even when people stop posting, they always show up for the Secret Santa.

I went to PA and NY. I drove 3000 miles roughly.
You do have a point on that. Every year I got about 150 people to do SS, which was nice. I don't think so, I didn't notice anyone post that didn't read the rules.

Well hopefully everything goes smoothly. After seeing so many people pop out of the woodwork for the Secret Santa, I wonder if there's any other ideas like it that could draw people back to the guild. confused

Yeah, long road trips alone can be so boring. I went on a day-long road trip with my brother once and it was awesome. biggrin
It's not easy coming up with ideas. There's always blatantly ripping off another guild's successful idea. xd
