It looked pretty healthy for this time of the season, so it was good to eat. I smiled, nodding with encouragement. I snickered at Nettleslash's comment. "Yes, he's right, just be a little quieter." I meowed. An odd scent drifted through the air. Was it...familiar? It was familiar, but a faint fear scent entertwined with it.
I looked at Lustrepaw, smiling slightly. "Let's play a game. How about you catch as much prey as you can before I get back," I meowed quickly, keeping my amused facade still in play. I didn't want to tip the apprentice off on how nervous I was.
With another nod, I left, not explaining myself anymore. I had to find Barkwind. As I padded farther and farther away, the more I could scent Barkwind and the fear scent. I tried to scent for one last scent; the lavender-badger-fox scent, but that wasn't there either. Not yet, at least.

Nekapon asked me to take care of her cats while her computer is down but i don't know what exactly is going on in StormClan :/ If it isn't too much trouble, can someone give me a small summary of what's going on in the present? (:

[Burrpelt was about to say something about how stupid his brother is when something crashed into him. He yowled in surprise and scuffled around with...] "Burrpelt!" [Oaktail?! He sat up, his fur ruffled. He flattened his ears and narrowed his eyes, his tail twitching irritably.] "What was that?" [he demanded.] "Why are you trampling around like a Twoleg?" That is too soon;

[I blinked and licked Softpaw on the head, purring encouragingly.]
"Very well done!" I exclaimed with zest. "That'll show them, won't it?"
[I scanned the forest for Cinderstreak and Lustrepaw, but I only scented Lustrepaw. That's weird...did Night leave us?
I let out a soft sigh, rolling my eyes. If he wanted to catch less prey than we did, that was his problem! Still, I felt worried. Why would he suddenly disappear? Was it something I said?
You're too nosy for your own good, I warned myself, and let out an inward sigh. Hopefully it was just all in my head.
Returning my attention back to my apprentice, I said, "Let's bury our catches here and keep hunting. Maybe we'll find a big bird to bring back to the Clan!"
[I dug a huge hole and gently placed my bluejay inside, and then I pushed Softpaw's catch in as well. I covered it quickly with some dirt and leaves, rubbing a bit in the scent trail to dull the smell of fresh kill. Padding away with my tail gently flicking to beckon Softpaw, I continued through the forest, searching for prey.
Suddenly a sharp crack ahead of me made me freeze. I lowered myself and peeked out to see a fat rabbit nervously sniffing at the fuzzy moss and leaves around it, its eyes wide and fearful, and its ears back.]
Grinning at Softpaw, I whispered as low as I could, "Why don't you try to catch your first rabbit?"
[Rabbits were difficult to catch, especially for an apprentice. I hoped Softpaw could catch it- it would really show those fuzzy-brained toms!]

[Sullenpaw let out another chorus of laughter before she froze altogether, the scent of more Stormclan cats made her nose twitch. "Firestorm! Do you smell that?" she asked, leaning down closer so that she could be heard easily, "Let's go see what's happening!" she exclaimed, curiosity filling the small she-cat's form. ]

Leopard shrugged, her tail gracing the ground. She looked at her paws, thinking a bit. She already knew how to hunt, and battling was a cinch. It was best to get a feel for the territory first. She smiled, looking back up. That was a good idea.] "We can look at the borders first, so I know what exactly I am protecting," she meowed calmly.

Firestorm scented the air. It was full of other
Stormclan cats. He scented Skywhisker, Thunderflight,
Cinderstreak, Lusterpaw, Oakpaw and Cedarpaw. Firestorm
flicked his ears. "Alright. Hang on..." Firstorm said.
He didnt want the apprentice falling. He moved carefully and
quickly forward, his muscles rippling.

He stopped his grooming and tensed. By time he looked, Oaktial was already mid-air aiming at him. He yowled as Oaktail tackled him and the two went spinning in the dust again.] That is too soon;
