I'm certain she'd love to lend a hand."

Lyssan smiles. "If you feel I should, of course. But surely you are not afraid of him, my dear tamer... "

Lyssan sighs and points to her breakfast. "Eat first... and drink that tea. It will calm you... then we shall go. Give him time in which to calm himself. Kero is no fool. He may have been very angry, but he cannot avoid thinking about the why of your anger, seeking to convince himself of his own right... only when he does so calmly, without passion, he'll begin to see the flaws in his own arguement. Trust me, dear, you were not wrong, but a little to blatant for his nature."

Fussy really isn't the word for it. He soon begins to see that Nimbus only quiets down if held a certain way and that as soon as his arms begin to tire and he is forced to assume a new position, the baby begins to fuss. He can get him to sleep, but as soon as he puts him down the cycle begins anew and he is forced to pick him back up to calm him once again. There is no way Tes could have gotten any sleep the night before if he was behaving as he was now.

Finally Tes is finished eating and the two women start to walk up the stairs. Luna comes running after them.

"Mama... whar ye goin?"

She trots along beside them as they go up the tower. "Why tawk to hiwm... woudn't it be bettew to twlk wiff hiwm?" she asks matter of factly. "daddy doon wike tawking at hiwm... buff wiff hiwm, he's okay..."

Lyssan chuckles. "Lunaria is certainly busy today... Luna love... why did you come after us?"

"Cuz..."

At the doorway, Luna blocks the way, staring up at Tes. "No tawk at hiwm, kay? Tawk wiff... "

The tiny dragon lets her by but when Lyssan goes to follow her, Luna steps squarely in her path shaking her head. "No Gwamma... no go... dis is a Mama an' Daddy ting."
