Tes is sitting in the rocker, bleary eyed, feeding Nimbus. She doesn't look very happy right now.

And he gets an ear full.

Finally she begins to wind down, handing him the baby to change while she goes down to eat. "Where were you..." she says at last. "All night I waited for you to return... all night... every time I dozed off he started fussing. I got not a wink of sleep... and you come popping in here as if nothing was wrong, bubbling over with some tale of holding Luna a party as if I've got all the time in the world. Even the twins have been more attentive than you, though some of their suggestions were frightening in outlandishness of their solutions. Thankfully when I said no, they listened for a change."

"Why didn't you simply bring her up here with you, or tell me where you were going. I would have been able to come and get you then, rather than have to sit here alone in the dark, wondering if you were coming back or not?" hisses Tes angrily. "Do you have any idea how long you were gone? Surely she was asleep most of that time."

But Tes has seen the anger in his eyes and it has triggered a cold anger of her own. Her gaze hardens. "If you had brought her here you could have done both and we both could have gotten some rest, instead you put the welfare of one over the welfare of all. It's not just you and LUna anymore, Kero and last night I needed you here." With that she pops out leaving him holding the baby, wondering when the figurative ice will melt off his robe. Shaking his head, Kero goes to the rocker and tries to rock his fussing baby to sleep.

"Nimbus, I warn you... don't ever try to understand the mind of a woman."

** rolleyes man, I tell ye, this northern spirit would have had to agree with her on this one... you could have also taken the others to Luna's room... Kero is definitely not thinking like a married man or new father... he's thinking like a stubborn old bachelor... there is nothing more devastating to a new mother who is still attempting to deal with skyrocketing hormones than sitting up all night with a screaming baby, unsure of what might be wrong, and needing help... top that off with not knowing where someone might be... adding worry to worry... ye have a powder keg... he's lucky he's got a head left to fume with**

Lyssan sees immediately that something is wrong bu the way Tes is practically throwing the food on her plate. "Tes, love, bring yer plate and let's go to my office... I suspect ye need to talk, m'dear..."

Tes looks at Lyssan and simply dissolves into tears.

Lyssan merely drapes a fond arm about her shoulders and after making certain she has a substantial amount of food on her plate, leads the sobbing draconic down the hallway to her study, warning everyone they meet with her eyes not to breathe a word of what they see. Urging her into a seat at a small side table near a window that catches the morning sun, she rings for tea and then sits across from her.

"Now... let it out.... what has that knuckle head done this time?"

Lyssan soothes and gently cajoles Tes into telling her the reason for her upset, then give her a hug and tries to mend the fence a bit between the young draconic (and yes to Lyssan she is young) and Kerobian, though she does not gloss over the mistakes he has made.

"My dear, things like this will happen, from time to time... not that it will make it any easier to live through knowing that it has... but you need to be able to talk it out with him, not yell or create a scene. We both know, you and I, that he rarely responds favorably to correction if it is shoved in his face... but he can be led into doing what you need and want by showing him it's necessity... correct?"
