You can remove it and reattach it...but yes, it will stay.
*G2G...eye hurting...see if sleep helps a bit....bloodshot on one side...a bit scratchy...feels like something is caught in there, but I can't seem to wash it out, nor rub it away....*

**rubbing it is probably making it worse... get some sleep, kiddo... ye need it... I'm fighting an upset stomach right now... hard to sleep with that...**

**try folding up a damp washrag and resting it on the eye as you sleep... sort of a low grade cold pack... if it warms up, just wave it around in the air a bit to cool it down...**
The boy's eyes widen in wonder and he reaches up and touches the gem. He sits there stunned for a moment, then wraps his thin dark arms around Kerkobian's neck. "I love you, too, mes'sirrah.... I really do."

**I've tried warm and cold, and rinsing the eye out...even took a long, hot, steamy shower this morning...going to the doctor ASAP...if there is something in my eye, and it's caught, I'll need his/her help....likewise if it's an infection**

Suddenly the boy's face falls a bit. "We'd have to leave them here, won't we?" he asks softly getting up from the bed.
**hope it's nothing serious. I do know that sometimes you can get something in it that scratches something, and even when it's out, it hurts like hell... **

Passura brightens at this and nods his agreement. But as they leave the room, Kero catches him looking back at the room kind of longingly. But then, for someone who has never had anything to truly call his home, even that small somewhat austere dwelling was a venerable palace, a place... a haven to call his own.
**glad it's getting better... eyes are kind of tricky to deal with, if something does go wrong.**

**Oh it still hurts, just not as bad...I am still going to the doc unless mit stops completely...simply to be sure it's not something serious**

The Void may surprise you, son of mine...I know ways to make it seem like home...and we can always come back here, when we need to. Let's go talk this over with the others, and then we'll spend a few days packing...after all, we can't leave behind the books, or your furniture...or the panini paddles, can we?

The boy nods and follows him outside. "I saw this thing in one of yer books... one of those funny thin ones ye keep out by the sofa... kind of looked like a hinged metal box of a sorts... It was called a Panini maker."

That is what is called a Unitasker, and the only unitasker allowed in my kitchen is a fire extinguisher. Nice try, Pasa...besides, think on this...what would I use without those paddles?
