She gives a mental snort and hugs him back. "Just do what you have to do and come back to us. The kids want to meet their new uncle, so I hope it is soon. But take as long as you need. Just remember... I'm not going to hold down the fort for ye forever.... I'm going to need a vacation.... a nice long one... when all of this is through."

But he gets no answer as the boy is fast asleep. Realizing he's only been gone for about an hour, Kero laughs to himself and goes to make himself a pot of tea, fast at work in his head on how he can make the trip to his home safer and more enjoyable for the young serpentine.

*He's already come up with a fairly simple way...holding the child under his cloak on his bike would ward off most of the chill...and some Salamanders could do the rest...if he could get them to agree...even Thyrion might tell him to go jump in a lake over that one*

A simple charm might do the trick as well, he thinks digging into a small ornate box on his desk. He finds the tiny silver harp pendant and tries to figure out how it works.
**feel free to give it away if you need to... or make another... it's runs on emotion though so good luck recreating it....**

*Kero smiles...his charm, based on Tam's love for him, has given him an idea of his own...and he grabs one of his own amulets...one that can summon him at all times, given only to his closest friends, and slashes his wrist...mixing the blood over the amulet, he calls to his Love for Pasa...identifying him...seeing him wrapped in warmth and security...two blankets of emotion all around him...protecting him....warming him....reminding him he is loved*

** Tam would go ewww... what's with the blood already... isn't the emotion itself enough... but yeah... fairly close...**
Now that the charm is made, he needs to figure out a way for the boy to wear it. A necklace would be fine, but chains can and do break. Perhaps a stud for the ear... or maybe.... he thinks hard over the possibility of embedding it just beneath the skin. Now that is a thought. Having the boy wear it like that would mean he'd never lose it and Kero would always have a way to contact him if he needed to.

*Kero smiles...and remembers what is on his own forehead...Pasa could have it wherever he wanted...and it would serve double duty*
**Tam cut himself when he changed Kero's amulet...and as for why so much blood, Kero's power is carried inside it...coating the amulet in it gave the blood somewhere to settle into...likewise, now Pasa feels Kero's love for him...and the security and warmth will only increase when he meets Hopian...**

Having figured out a solution to his problems, Kero decides to call it a night. But he is determined to wake up early, so as to fix Keveka a farewell breakfast and set his things in order on this end . He wonders what Pasa will say to all of this.

The boy's eyes grow wide and he bobs his head eagerly, then he looks around his newly redecorated bedroom and frowns. "But you just gae me all this nice stuff..." he says with a sigh. "All that work..."

The boy looks at the stone and smiles. "That is a pretty gem, mes'sirrah. But you don't want to give me something like that. I'm terrible with expensive things unless they can be nailed down... I'll probably lose it."
