"She'll be waiting!" the knight laughed, heading back over to the mage, "Aww, skittish guy, isn't he?" She paused, hearing her calling to the young man, "Oh...dear, I hope I didn't scare him off. I don't dance, so I was just wanting you to have a bit of fun..."

Watching the mechanic head off, she sighed. "I don't think you scared him off, Cidri." She crosses her arms and pouts. "Besides, if we were to dance, I'll likely give him a selfish request."

A selfish request? She knew nothing of them really to even wonder about what it could be. She shrugged, "Well...then I shall leave so you can return to your discussion then..." She gave the mage a small bow and a wave, "I'll find you once the night ends."

Starlight Princess Lucky "Yes.. I suppose you could say that. " Ruby's words and the slight pause were not convincing to the redhead, but she didn't pursue it. Whatever the woman was waiting on was her business so long as it did not spell out trouble for the attendees. "Well whatever the reason, shame on it for keeping you from enjoying the ball." She tilted her head at the second part of the explanation. "Goodness," she remarked. "Everyone is a stranger at first. The only way to remedy that is to go up and say hello." She gestured to the guests who were already in conversation. "I promise you, no one here bites. And even if they do, I give you permission to bite them right back~" Ruby took a bite of the chocolate cake in her hand, and nodded slightly. It was a shame she couldn't simply relax at an otherwise lighthearted event. She did love attending balls. Swallowing her bite, she chuckled at the idea of the guests biting her. "Yes, I suppose you have a point. Though...my bite tends to leave singed hairs..." The referral to her fire abilities was most likely lost on her fellow redhead, but the idea of it made Ruby chuckle once more.

"Hm... I'll keep an eye out for you." The song ends and he leads them off the dance floor. He smiles, seeming a bit sad, "Thank you for dancing with me, Gigi. I'll take you up on your offer if I ever feel up to talking about it."

Though it was true, it seemed, that appearance often mirrored ability. "Yes...I suppose they are connected. " Her face relaxed back to a soft smile. She had always simply assumed she'd inherited her traits from her father. Though, he too could manipulate flames to some extent. At the surprised look, Lucky smiled playfully, her own red eyes dancing. "Sorry, I'm known to be a brat like that sometimes." she spoke. She turned and poured herself some more punch. "Where I come from, there is a race that is as much a part of their element as they are organic," she explained. She glanced at the other, winking playfully, "So, if you find a redhead that's considered a hothead or spitfire or anything else having to do with heat, typically it's in more ways than one~"

The young werewolf had managed to quietly slip into the ball without notice, quietly roaming the sidelines as she fidgets with her cuffs and gloves. She hates dressing up, a likely side effect of how often she accidentally destroys her clothing, and hadn't been excited to receive the invite. But it would be rude not to show up, so... Here she is.
