"If you think that would be best. Ah... and maybe we could go somewhere there's horses, to see if it jogs anything in my memory." he added. It helped that he hadn't seen any animals in a long time and he missed it. He especially liked small and fluffy creatures.

Arron nodded & pulled out a small notepad & wrote down a list of things to check out.

"Where do you get all of those things from? Do you have a storage place where you keep everything to teleport here? It's... really fascinating." the slave inquired. "I imagine that makes things a lot easier, especially since you're a mechanic. Any tool you need, you can just make appear." he stopped himself before he let his curiosity force him to run his mouth any more.

The mechanic blinked & then smiled. He patted the toolbox that was attached at his hip. "Y-You pretty much h-hit the nail on-on the head. Th-The way p-point is my toolbox, but it goes to-to a large warehouse th-that my family has had for a-a long time." Arron explained, "...As f-for the notebook I-I keep th-that on me all th-the time." The duo were walking in the direction to the public library.

The slave smiled, proud of his lucky guess. He found the technology even more impressive just by understanding how it worked. When he spotted the library ahead of them, he got pretty excited. Sure, they weren't going there to read any stories or anything like that, but just being out and about felt wonderful. If he ignored the feeling of his collar that still lingered on his neck despite its absence, he felt like he was free. "So we're going to read news articles to see if anything comes up about me? If that's the case, I would have gone missing three or four years ago. I lost track of the exact time... likely due to my Mistress's... 'training'." he didn't feel it appropriate to recount just exactly what such entailed. It was painful to remember.

Arron nodded making a small note of the new information. However he realized that the slave's disappearance was around the time of his arrival on Gaia. This caused him to wonder if there was a news article on the crash that brought him to the planet. He figured they would both find out. Arron grabbed the door handle & held it open for the young man.

"Ah, thank you." the slave said before wandering into the library. He wasn't used to having the door opened for him, but it wasn't a bad thing. Once he entered, he was astounded by the library. It wasn't very large, but it was still impressive to him. He realized that people would likely be staring at him, due to his appearance and condition, so he covered himself slightly with his floppy shirt sleeve.

The young man glanced at the slave's act of covering himself, but made no comment. He walked to the front desk & asked if they could look at the archives. The librarian glanced at the pair & nodded, pointing to where they were stored. Arron headed in the direction he was pointed & they soon found the negatives for the newspapers.

The slave scratched his head, never having seen negatives before. He was at a loss on what to do, so instead he looked for the proper years to go through. There were a lot of files to look through, and he was slightly intimidated by the amount. "This may take awhile..." he mumbled.

Arron was searching through the negatives with the machine that was allowed a person to see them properly. He has switched to the years that the slave had mentioned & was searching thoroughly.

Unfortunately, a lot of major events took place during the years that were mentioned. Gaia was busy with Gambino related mishaps, Airship mysteries, warring factions, and all kinds of town rivalries. It was a mess of information, and there was nothing about anyone that fit the slave's description in any of the missing person's reports, obituaries, or even memorials.

The young man frowned, because he had hoped they would find something. He pinched the bridge of his nose in thought. Arron wondered where they should try next.

"It seems like those two years were difficult for Gaia. Any one of the things that happened could have led to my injuries and then amnesia..." the slave pondered. He started to put away the articles he'd taken out. "Is there a farm of some kind around here? Maybe they'll let me try riding a horse." he suggested.

Arron nodded. "It-It's not far from town..." he said thinking, "B-Bill would be-be okay with letting us b-borrow a-a horse I-I think..." Arron put up the books & articles, ready to get going.

The slave nodded, standing and walking to the door quickly. "Ah... sorry, I'm a little excited. I don't remember ever being to a farm. It seems like it could be a lot of fun." he blushed, embarrassed, then opened the door for Arron.
