Gersif looked at the spread there were things he had never had before and he thought it would be nice to try, he pointed out more than he would probably be able to eat but he was hungry and it all looked so good. He tried to look thankful to the human when he was served, he wasn't sure if it translated well, but he tried.

Vincent dished onto the plate what the other wanted and placed it down in front of him "youre welcome" he said smiling at the other.
"And here I though I ate a lot" she teased, nudging him a little as the band and hula dancers started their bit and Odessa took another bite of her meal.

Gersif smiled shyly "It all looks so good and..." he picked up a odd round yellow piece of what smelled like fruit looking at it oddly "I dunno what half this stuff is so I thought I should try it" he gave a shrug to say 'why not'

"That it does and that piece of fruit may be a guava" she said, gesturing towards the fruit, she may not exactly be knowledgeable when it came to a lot of 'non divination' sort of things but when it came to food she knew it all...well, a fair amount anyway, and fruits/exotic fruits were one of her specialties.

"Guava" he tried the name out to get a feel for it "Guava hmm.." he inspected the fruit before popping it into his mouth the juices shooting flavor into his mouth "mmmm I think I like guava" he smiled seeds stuck to his teeth. He took a bite out of a bright red fruit the flavors clashing slightly sending tart shock waves to the hinge of his jaw his eyes going slightly cross-eyed he coughed to clear his throat "bad idea" his voice was raspy but he smiled apologetically. "Perhaps I should take suggestions as to what I should try?" he coughed again trying to regain his proper voice. "I have very little experience with such exotic foods, I'm mostly used to whatever I could find on my travels." His eyes watered from the clashing flavors, he looked at the food in front of him trying to find something to cleanse his palette but he was afraid of things clashing again

Odessa giggled "yes, best to just have one fruit at a time, since you are not used to such things I suggest taking a drink of water" she said as she gestured to Vincent that Gersif needed a bowl of water "and THEN having another piece of fruit, the water will help clean your taste buds and when you get better at such things like mixing fruits they won't taste too bad, some fruits go great with others and some don't so I just suggest taking a drink before trying each" she said as Vincent put the bowl of mineral water down in front of Gersif.

Gersif nodded "smart" he drank the water until the flavors dissipated, "they were good.. just not together" he smiled, his voice back to its proper self. This time taking a bite of a strange looking green something, he couldn't tell by looking at it if it was fruit or vegetable, the juices flowed, fruit definitely fruit, strangely textured not what he had expected though he wouldn't have been able to tell you what he had expected, it wasn't bad.. interesting but not bad. "What's your favorite?"

"At least you like" she said, always believing that everyone should try a new food every now and again and then looked at the food "hmm I think the star fruit" she said as she pointed to the star fruit on the table that had been cut up into slices "it is a sweet fruit without being over whelming but has a sour and tart undertone so you get a few fruits mixed into one" she said as she picked up a piece on her plate and ate it, loving the taste of it.

"Star fruit hu?" He looked at the fruit she indicated then looked to his plate to see if he had one, there peeking out from under other food he saw it and pulled it out taking a bite. His eyes grew wide with the shock of the flavor "That is quite good! Wow." He wasn't expecting that combination of flavors even with her description of it, he was surprisingly pleased by it.

"I am glad you like it, as for me it is a childhood fave of mine...sort of, my parents brought me back some when I was a kid, I had to stay with Lenore for two weeks whilst they had a 'third honeymoon' of sorts and they brought me back some and ever since I have had it as my favourite fruit, too bad it is just hard to get around here" she said with a sigh, wishing there was a way to get it here easier. Star fruit was a fruit that usually grew around here so she would never see any unless she travelled herself and even then she was unsure where it would be and that meant asking her parents and really, she didn't want to say that she wanted to go travelling just to get some hard to get fruit and especially not now when Oliver was her main concern either.

Gersif looked at the fruit pondering "Poor climate for growing from seeds?" He wondered if it was a tree, bush, or vine, cold weather, temperate, or hot, four seasons or two. He thought about where it could grow given each requirement needed and how far away it would have to be. "I have a friend... well more of an acquaintance, she keeps to herself most of the time, but she is incredibly smart and if anyone would know about the fruit.. where it comes from and what it need to grow she would.. perhaps we could find a place nearby to grow it?" It was just a thought, he didn't know if it would work, but it couldn't hurt to try right?

Odessa watched the dancers and listened to the music, it was beautiful and she had been lost in both of them when the other spoke "huh...what?" She said before shaking her head "I mean I don't know, maybe it is poor climate? I would have to ask my parents or you could ask this acquaintance of yours, she may have a better idea then my parents if she is as smart as you say she is" she said, not disbelieving how smart she is but more of reason that she hasn't meet her she she wasn't sure how smart she was or wasn't.

Gersif nodded while trying out more of the food on his plate, he had pushed a few things to the side which he didn't favor, there was likely to be quite a bit of leftovers on his plate might as well enjoy the good stuff. "Worth a shot, can't hurt right?" He kind of wanted to ask her to dance.. the only problem was he didn't know how. He tried watching the dancers to learn but it was too complicated to keep everything in his head. Instead he shook the notion off and continued to eat not wanting to risk stepping on her toes

Odessa wasn't one for dancing either...at least not this kind, she had, from an early age, been forced to learn ballroom dancing by her father who was a pro at it and whilst she told her father she hated it she did like it and carried on learning it when she left home and became a pro now at it herself and though she is a pro herself she still takes lessons every now and again to brush up on her steps from a far more seasoned pro then herself but still, she will leave Hula to those who know how to do it "it is, and thank you" she said sincerely as she lent over and kissed his cheek.

Gersif blinked in shock and looked at her with an unsure smile. He really didn't understand females hot and then cold he couldn't read her but it was a nice night and he wasn't going to question it. Instead he just continued eating, he had eaten more than he had expected apparently he was hungrier than he realized. Generally he would eat small meals throughout the day but lately he'd been having three consistent large meals. He supposed it was what happened when you had a steady place to live and eat.
