[Lustrepaw asked curiously, a hint of suspicion creeping into his voice. From the way the stranger slipped so easily into the darkness, it was blatantly clear that he was no normal rogue - no, rather, he was more than a trained warrior.]
"Stormclan's been...well, I guess. If that squirrel hadn't run off, there'd be one more piece of freshkill to feed the clan..."
[His ears drooped sadly, disappointed with himself. How could he go back to Cinderstreak if he couldn't even manage to catch one measly squirrel?]
"Ok, now it's your turn to talk, who ARE you and where're you from? I've told you way too much about Stormclan already!"
[Lustrepaw drew himself up and looked into the stranger's eyes - or whatever features that weren't hidden by the shadows.] ✘X☼X✘XX

Lusterpaw did have a point though, he had given him valuable information, and had given nothing in return. The shadow warrior smiled politely and dipped his head in respect for the stormcan cat.] "Im sorry, you are right. It is rude of me to just ask and not give, i hope you will forgive me. I am a loner, lost to this world. You must keep my existence a secret thought. I am currently wandering the land in search for a certain she cat, Thunderclaw of Nightclan. Have you seen her? She is a strong, black she cat with bright and beautiful golden eyes. She has a voice as sweet as honey and the face of a starclan (angel) cat." [He said, remembering his beloved with vivid detail. ]

[Lustrepaw cocked his head to one side, curious as to what the stranger would tell him. When he told him to keep his existence a secret, Lustrepaw's eyes brightened excitedly. A secret and mysterious cat, wandering the lands in search for his beloved! It was just like a kit's tale come true.]
"Sorry, I don't know any Nightclan cats because I've never been to any Gatherings, but there's one cat that matches your description in Stormclan. You know Thunderflight? She's black with amber eyes as well...and her name starts with Thunder!"
[Lustrepaw smiled smugly as he nodded to himself, feeling that he had just given a very good answer to this wandering traveller on his quest for his beloved. Or at least, he thought it was a very good answer.] ✘X☼X✘XX

He smiled, remember having made the same comparison himself.] "Thank you for your help. Yes, i have heard of the warrior you speak of. She too is beautiful and strong. I hope she and her beloved are doing well." [He said with a kind smile, remembering her speak of a stormclan tom he could only assume she was close to. He looked up to see the squirrel had returned to scavenging for acorns in the snow farther away from the two cats. The lone warrior smiled slyly as he whispered to the smaller tom.] "What do you think about playing a little trick on that fuzzy freind of yours? I could startle him and you could wait in hiding." [He said as he stood from his sitting position in the shadows, checking to be sure that the pray did not know of his whereabouts.]

[Lustrepaw thought before he remembered his promise not to mention this stranger's existence to anyone. When the stranger spoke of a plan to re-capture his squirrel, Lustrepaw grinned and nodded enthusiastically.]
"Ok! Uh hiding...need a place to hide..."
[He muttered as he spun around in a full circle, before deciding to dive back into the bush where he had previously hidden when he watched the squirrel.]

[Whisperblade smiled and wiggled his stump as he disapeard into the shadows completely. From the darkness he crept closer and closer without making even the slightest sound. Once he was a few mouse lengths away he sprung forward from the darkness. The squirrel chattered and bolted off to escape the cat that seeming spoofed out of thin air. Snow flew everywhere as it ran furiously to the safety of the bushes. Whisperblade sat and watched, not bothering to chase after the squirrel and risking making as much of a mess as the pray. He had done his part, now it was up to Lusterpaw to finish it.]

The bushes rustled, and in one smooth leap, he caught the squirrel neatly between his front claws, killing it in one swift bite behind the neck. He triumphantly brought out the catch to the stranger, bouncing in his steps as he thought of what Silverstar would say to such a good catch in the middle of leaf-bare.]
Oh right...but he helped me catch it...maybe I should give it to him. He looks quite hungry, after all he's a loner and doesn't have a clan to hunt for him...
[He dropped the squirrel at the stranger's paws, grinning happily at their success.]
"Uh, I'm not hungry anyway...would you like it?" ✘X☼X✘XX

You got it perfectly! Not many cats can catch pray so quickly." [He tilted his head as Lusterpaw offered him the squirrle he had caught. He smiled with appreciation for the stormclan apprentice.] "Are you sure, you worked hard to catch that squirrle. I appreciate your kindness very much. Its not everyday you find a cat as kind as you." [He politely declined the cat's offer, not wanting to take his hard earned pray.] "Besides, it will go to better use feeding your clan's kittens and elderly then just one cat."

[He thought as he began sniffing the air, trying to scent out something. The faint scent of mouse reached his nostrils, but he couldn't be sure whether it was stale or fresh. He followed the scent along the ground, until he stopped at a patch of snow. With a start, he realised that it was a mouse's den, and he dug his claws into the snow, digging out clumps of dirt and snow like a dog.]

[Wisperblade watched as Lusterpaw sniffed around in the snow and began to burrow. He tilted his head curiously. As soon as he had reached the nest mice scattered about. Whisperblade's ears perked up as he rushed to catch three of them, only one escaping. He picked up the mice in his mouth and nodded in thanks to his freind.] "Thank you very much, this will help eas the bitterness of leaf bare for me. What is your name?" [He asked over his shoulder as he headed back towards the shadows, a goofy smile on his face. He had grown fond of the young tom.] I wonder if Cinderwing would accept a few of these mice? if not i can always leave it in front of his den.

The stranger was a very good hunter - not ever cat could catch three mice in one go.]
"My name's Lustrepaw and I'm an apprentice in Stormclan! What's your name?"
[Coming to think of it, he didn't even know the stranger's name, yet he felt himself drawn towards this mysterious cat hidden within the shadows. He could hardly see the stranger now, since the dark shadows hid his form so well.]

Hopefully we will meet again my freind. Oh, and tell Thunderflight that i hope she is well." [After that he had vanished into the darkness, leaving little to not trace that he was ever there. All that remained was the scuffed up paw prints he had erased at the beginning of their meeting, which would soon be covered up with fresh fallen snow.]
