Mai had a less violent spat with the chef again. If seems they're only starting to get along. But she managed to get food without clawing him up this time, and he didn't go after her with a knife either. She was in the mess hall when a bunch of men came in to announce the game in the cargo bay. "Game?" She whispered in response. I like games... She thought. She followed the men, sticking some what close to the head mechanic whom she seemed to get along with the best besides her Master. The mechanic, Doc, as people called him, even though that wasn't his real name, consumed Mai in light conversation asking about her and whatnot as they entered the cargo bay. Mai was impressed by the game that was being played out, it was a sporting game. She tugged on Doc's shirt. "What game is this?"

"makeshift basketball." Lerista grinned at the two of them and wagged a finger at him with a playful expression. "Now dont be tainting her with you lies Doc." The Doc laughed a bit at the comment and snapped his fingers. "Damn, guess thats out." Lerista chuckled and waved the Doc over. But the Doc shook his head polite and pointed at his hand. "Busted it on the engine." "Ah, alright then. Take it easy for a bit and let the droids handle it." "Heck no boss, those droids cant work on my baby as good as I can." lerista chuckled and brought the others over, then started to pick teams.

Mai was intrigued by the game, and begged someone to explain her how the game is played. Well...more like she intimidated someone into it. A couple of men commented on how having a wild animal on the court might be interesting, or a complete disaster. Mai snarled at them and went back to listening to the explanation.

Lerista laughed. "You have to be nice to her, she is mine after all. Not to mention she'll be living with us now. Got a problem with her, then get off." He chuckled and walked over to her. "Tell you what kitten, come on my side and we'll show ya. Its better then listening about it...not to mention you are athletic."

Mai did as her master requested and scooted over towards him. "How do you play?" Mai was often full of questions it seems.

Lerista smiled and started to explain the basic rulest. He kept it short and simple so the others would still be interested in playing. He nodded and smiled. "Now lets give it a shot."

Mai nodded after every aspect of explanation, she was glad he was keeping it short and simple as she wasn't fluent in English. Apparently now came time to pick teams. She waited, curiously as to how this was done.

They picked their teams and to be fair he let her be on the other team. He was good at this game, better then them it would be interesting to give them an advantage. "Alright lets go." And the game started.

If she did this to him after he truly cared for her it may have just killed him to raise his hand at her. He was glad she wasn't so attached. It was easier this way. He looked at her.
"I am sorry for my temper." he said as he turned back to the books, pulling her papers out of his shirt. He had forgotten about them until now. He looked and saw her original planet but didn't say anything. He folded it shaking his head. This was useless. ((I can give your character something to do, but as Lixini doesn't speak, I can't exactly give you conversation.))
Lixini noticed another young neko, other than those who had attempted escape, in a cage awake as she was. Perhaps she could just...no...Lixini paced within her open cage, debating whether or not to leave her own. After a few seconds, she realized her tail was long enough to reach into the other's cage, and so she reached it over to her, with a gesture which her kind used as a friendly introduction, on her home planet, at least.

Tessa crossed her arms as she continued staring at the wall. She didn't really want to stay in the same room as him, but she wasn't sure if the invitation to explore his house was still an option. Tessa silently looked around the room and quickly stole a glance at Jason. She hoped he would figure out how to get her home soon.
Sitting there in silence Tessa's stomach growled loudly. Hoping that he didn't hear it, Tessa looked over at him. She was hungry but she didn't feel like eating.
